The Noble Family

Francis continued his investigation.

He asked questions in multiple taverns.

Yet he had found no answers.

Nobody wanted to talk about the noble family.

It was almost taboo to talk about these people.

And even worse, they were very wary of strangers.

"Typical tyrants," said Francis to no one in particular.

His skeletons did not find Lancelot either.

Not really a suprise, he thought.

The average person here was simple.

And his dead friends were reanimated corpses of peasants.

They weren't exactly strong enough to find Lancelot, survive the encounter, and report her location.

But he did sense that some of his dead pals had died around a certain tavern.

And after some revision, he found that they had all been cut into several pieces.

It had been a very clean cut.

One that would suggest a sword with special properties, noted Francis.

That, for now, was enough.

He knew almost nobody here had the strength to do that.
