The Blue Carnage

"What a drag..." Dright said while scratching the back of his head.

The envelope that Ophelia handed symbolized his next job, in other words, a summon from his father.

"I guess I won't be home for dinner..." he said while scratching his head, distressed. Quare, on the other hand, just gave a wry smile. After all, she is the only person in the family that doesn't know her father's real job.

Whenever she asked her mother or brother about this subject, they would answer something reasonable, like he was busy with his job as a headmaster of Royal Chaos Academy, which was true. But she somehow always feel their answers were lacking, like they're keeping a secret from her. Knowing this, she stopped asking them and planned to wait patiently for them to tell her as well but... being the only one kept in the dark felt depressing for her.

Dright took a side glance at Quare, who is smiling wryly. Shadows overshadowed his eyes. He felt bad, always keeping her in the dark...

Dright, unable to stomach his guilt of keeping secrets from Quare, took the letter from Ophelia's hand and went straight to his room.

The sound of a door closing resounded. After that, Quare also went to her room and changed her clothes to her house wear. After changing, she went to the kitchen where she saw her mother, who was preparing food for dinner. Her name is Reign Azure.

"Oh! Welcome back, Quare. How's school?"

Her mother had black hair with brown eyes. She doesn't have any unique features. This meant that she is a normal person, with no blessing, and not a Haulus.

There are also rare cases like Quare, who have natural-unique qualities like her navy blue hair and aquamarine eyes with no blessing nor affinity for zeds.

Her mother was wearing just a plain sleeveless shirt and a skirt, topped with an apron. She also looks very young, she could be mistaken as the eldest child in the family.

"Mom... I made a new friend!" Quare replied with a bright smile. Hearing this, her mother felt happy, knowing Quare, who is very shy around people.

"Mom, Quare, I'm heading out." Dright suddenly butted in their conversation. They didn't even notice him. He was now wearing a different outfit, wearing a jet black blazer, with a blood-red polo underneath it accompanied by black pants. Two of his upper buttons were open, and he is wearing shoes that seemed to be very light, suited for stealth.

"Where are you going, Dright? Dinner's almost ready?" Asked his mom.

Hearing this, he showed the letter to his mother, holding it between his index and middle finger.

"I see... wait just a second." upon seeing the letter, Reign instantly knew what it was about. She then started packing some ready-made food into a lunch box, then handed it to her son. She gave him two boxes.

"Make sure to give this to your dad... and be careful." She said with a wry smile. "Take care, brother..." followed by Quare.

"I will... later."

And with that, Dright left with his dimensional portal, gone in a flash.

That night, only Quare, her mother, and three servant automatons dined together. These automatons can also store energies by eating normally, this was made possible because of the materials that Oblivoids give after slain.

Several hours passed

Meanwhile with Dright.

He was standing atop the railings of a building's rooftop, with the wind brushing by. The night sky glows luminescent with the moon. It was already late that night, and most of the city lights were off. He was staring at a far off hospital, with no sign of emotions.

Seconds later, he took out a small diamond-shaped stone and threw it. The stone stopped mid-air, several inches away from Dright. A hologram of a map got projected from it, the map of the hospital's interior.

He analyzed the holographic map as he crossed his arms and placed his right hand on his chin.

"There..." upon saying this, a small red dot appeared at an area of the map located at the upper left corner.

After that, he reached out his hand to the stone. The hologram deactivated, and the stone flew back to his palm, then he placed it in his pocket.

After that, he jumped from where he was standing, which was several meters above the ground.

Seconds later, he landed in a dark room. The glow of a giant screen was the only thing that lit the room. Several control panels were seen underneath it. There was a single office chair that was facing it and a person seemed to be sitting on it. It was the room marked in his map, the control, and the security all in one room.

Before approaching it, Dright took out a handgun from his storage and raised his guard.

He moved his feet forward at a steady pace, intentionally creating footsteps, and the person sitting at the office chair took notice of this presence, standing up from his chair and inspecting the space behind him, but nobody was there.

The next instant, Dright came out of his portal behind the person. Before the person took notice, Dright hit the person's head with his gun's metallic grip, knocking him down unconscious.

After that, he dragged the person to a corner then sat at the office chair.

He analyzed the screen. It was divided into several parts, each showing a different room from the hospital, showing all corners of the building. He noticed that there were only very few patients and there was only a small number of nurses onsight. Not only that, oddly enough, these nurses were acting suspiciously. He has also observed a nurse was moving a sleeping patient into a different room.

On a particular corner of the screen, he noticed an ominous room. It was a dark room, lit with green dim lights coming out of several life-sized capsules, with human-like test subjects within them. Several people were wearing lab coats, which seemed to be doctors and nurses of the hospital, observing these subjects and are recording observations. Then, he saw the nurse from earlier, approaching one of the lab-coated people.

Upon witnessing this scene, Dright clicked his tongue in disgust. The subjects there were clearly not just "human-like," these subjects were humans. He didn't need to zoom in the monitor to know that these subjects have turned hideous because of the cruel experiments these people had conducted.

This hospital was suspected to be doing illegal conduct of human experimentation. Dright was tasked to investigate it and was given strict orders to assassinate every people involved if ever the suspicion was proven to be true. And now that he has seen this, he confirmed the validity of that suspicion and was moving on to the next phase. Without a doubt, every person in this hospital except for the patients is guilty of conducting human experimentation. Necessary punishments are to be implemented to these people immediately.

Upon seeing this terrible sight, Dright fumed in silent anger. His face, showing a calm yet angry expression. Lust for murder can be felt within the whole room.

Dright felt a presence. He glanced over at the unconscious body he dragged to a corner.

"G.. gah... uh..." the person was regaining his consciousness but soon stopped moving when a gunshot was heard. Blood was seen splattered at the wall he was leaning on. There was a whole in the middle of his forehead. He died. Dright was seen pointing his gun towards the corpse with no change of expressions.

Seconds later, he took out another gun from his storage, then suddenly portals with the same number as the sinners shown in the screen surrounded him in circles. Dright took a deep breath...

Calm before the storm... Dright rapidly shot at all the portals he made, moving through, shortened distance, the bullets pierced the heads of every people guilty of being involved with such acts, indiscriminately, men or women. Soon after, the gunshots stopped. Every people that was seen on the monitor were all dead in a matter of seconds. Even though all the ruckus he had caused, the patients were still asleep.

"Tsk... so they've drugged them with hibernating medicine..." Dright concluded. These medicines make their takers fall into hibernation, deep sleep, and will only wake up after a point of time, or when harshly forced to awaken.

Dright placed his guns halfway to his storage in front of him, hanging in mid-air, then opened another portal leading to his storage and took out two holsters, and equipped it on his left and right waist. He then took the guns then placed it at the holsters at the same time.

After that, Dright disabled every trap he could by pressing the correct buttons from the control panel.

Upon doing that, he made a portal that leads to the room with human test subjects.

Once again, Dright clicked his tongue on the horrible sights. All the people that were inside the capsules looked inhuman. Some of them had black parts on their bodies, some had Oblivoid parts attached, and some were even at unrecognizable state.

He walked around the area, looking for any survivor. While doing this, he found heaps of unrecognizable corpses which seemed to be failed test subjects. All he could do was stare in pity...

Something caught Dright's attention. It was a person, a person in a lab coat, cowering in fear at a corner of the room. He walked towards that person slowly His eyes out shadowed with his bangs. As Dright came closer and closer, the scientist's knees gave up, making him tremble to the ground.

Reaching his destination, Dright glared at the person... silence fell...

"P-please... s..pare my... li..fe" Hearing this spelled his death. Dright strangled him with one hand and lifted him.

"Tell me... did you ever consider the consequences for all those heaps of corpses piled up over there..? Have you ever felt guilt for all the irreplaceable wounds you've caused them..? Have you never felt shame?! Don't you have a heart?! A conscience?! What you did to these people are as heavy as murder!"

Getting angrier as words passed by his mouth, his grip got stronger and stronger, until the person no longer breathed.

Then Dright noticed. There was a woman several meters away from his left, holding a gun and pointing it at him, but was shaking in fear.

Dright dropped the person he killed and stood in place. He glanced at the woman and glared at her with blood-lusting aura. This made the girl shake more in fear, and as she was about to pull the trigger,

"..huh... AAARRGH!! GAAAAHH?!"

Blue flames engulfed her whole body as she dropped to the ground, squirming in pain. This startled Dright as he wasn't the one that did that. Before long, the girl dropped to the floor, motionless, with the flames still eating away at her flesh.

Dright felt a presence, approaching from behind him and his mouth twisted to a grin.

"So, you must be the notorious Blue carnage..?" Upon saying this, Dright jumped away from where he was standing. Blue flames furiously ate away the corpse that Dright killed.

Dright couldn't let this chance slip by. He engraved the image of blue carnage in his mind. The Blue carnage was wearing a fox mask, with a dark blue open-coat, reaching up to the Blue carnage's waist. Underneath that coat was a dark blue colored shirt with a cross pattern by the chest. And lastly, the Blue carnage was wearing a... skirt?
