Chapter 23: Finest Weapon

The roar is getting louder and louder, Fortunately only they can hear it. Once they finish the preparation they will bust through the door, So first before they bust through, Ray use tracking skill to make sure there are no other enemy because if there are other enemy they chance of winning will be low.

"Alright only one enemy there but the aura that this creature emitting"

"Don't worry too much Ray, Just focus to our plan, If our plan failed we will try a new method"

Of course Ray is worry, He doesn't want his friends to get hurt. But in reality injuries are inevitable, Ray tries to calm down, His thoughts are saying if the injury of his friends are not fatal they will survive.

"Alright let's go"

There is no turning back, Once they step in they must face whatever the creature residing in this cave. The door closed and a lot of torch lights up automatically.

The creature who is roaring louder is a minotaur, The minotaur start to stare at them one by on. After staring for a while the minotaur roar loudly, It make Ray and his friends to cover their ear.

The minotaur finally quiet down, But Ray something is not right, It turn out that his hunch is right. The minotaur start to charge towards them.

"Everyone dodge!!"

Ray shouts as loud as possible to warn his friends, Fortunately for them because they manage to dodge the minotaur charge. But it's not the only problem, The minotaur also had his weapon and it's a giant mace.

"God, So this is he creature that old man implying"

Ryo remembering the warning about the creature residing in this cave. But before they even manage to go for an attack they got stop by the minotaur giant mace. The minotaur swings his mace violently and not giving any chance to Ray and his friends to attack.

"Ray I will distract this creature you and Ryo attack him while he got distract"

"Alright but be careful Bell"

Bell got an idea but it's also risky because, There is a chance the minotaur won't go for Ray and Ryo. They had to do it regardless on how the outcome of this plan. On bell's count, He fire a few magic arrow to the minotaur back.

It works, The minotaur chase Bell, Ray and Ryo also start to move. Ray attack the minotaur leg while Ryo aim for the spine. Unfortunately they only deal less damage to the minotaur because of it's thick skin.

Now the worst case scenario is now Bell is under attack, The minotaur ignore the damage that has been dealt by Ray and Ryo. The attack in unstoppable now, But Bell didn't give up he shoot all of his magic arrow until his mana runs out.

As the mace coming towards Bell, He close his eye and ready to get smash by the giant mace. But the mace stop, It didn't reach Bell because Zed is protecting him with his new skill blood barrier.

"Run damn it!"

Bell open his eye after he hear Zed scream he sprint as fast as possible to get away from the minotaur. Of course Ryo and Ray were relieve because this was their back up plan if the attack doesn't work.

"We will apologize to Bell later but for now we need to take down this giant bastard."

Bell who is sprinting fast now arrive at their rally point, He's exhausted and scared at the same time. Ray tries his best to calm Bell and it finally work.

"Let's go"

"But we don't have a plan"

"Let's go with the flow"

"But should we just run away from the monster?"

"I don't know my body tells me to run but my mind was saying defeat this giant bastard"

A brief conversation between Ray and Ryo, it can't be help if Ray really want to fight this creature really bad then why should they reject. Now it's time for Tezz to show how it's done. He takes over Ray's body for a while and and warn the other to not interfere his battle.

"If you guys curious what will happen if Ray inherit my power, Then I will show it right now"

Bell of course confuse why Ray suddenly change his aura, Zed tell him to calm down and watch Ray's fight. Zed seems serious about this so Bell has no choice but to listen to Zed.

"it's been a while since I use this body, Make sure you entertained me minotaur"

Tezz jumps from their rally point land roughly on the cave floor, Minotaur who saw Tezz jumps immediately charge towards him. Tezz smile and punch the minotaur face. The minotaur staggering.

The minotaur rise again after getting punch by Tezz, But Tezz didn't give any chance for the minotaur to recover and continuously pummel the minotaur. While on guard the minotaur manage to land some cheap strike to Tezz face.

"Hahaha sorry for your face kids"

But the effect from the punch will surely affects Ray when he regain his consciousness later. Bell somehow enjoy the scene and he can't believe Ray is dominate the minotaur by just using the sheer force.

He didn't know that the person is fighting with the minotaur is not Ray but the former vampire king. No time to explain they continue to watch the one side pummeling between Tezz and the minotaur.

"Damn it only a few minutes left"

It seem like, Tezz is running out if time. It's just not enough for warm up, He sigh and wish for this kid to achieve the requirement to inherit his power. No time to waste Tezz ready for the final blow but he suddenly stop.

"Wa-wait a second, Please hear me"

"Ahhh? Why should I?"

"Please I'm just protecting my place, I know you guys come for the diamond right?"

"Hm, So you say you will surrender and let us take the diamond?"

It's hard to believe they're actually communicating, But it only via telepathy that the minotaur connect to Tezz. They make an agreement to cease weapon for a while.

"But if you breaks our agreement you will pay for it!"

"O-okay"

Tezz call them to collect the diamond, They wonder why they're stop fighting. But Tezz don't mind and tell them to collect the diamond but only a fair amount of it. They should spare some and not be greedy.

It take around five minutes to collect them and once they finish collecting all the diamonds. Ray come back to his sense and thank the minotaur for it.

"What happen between Tezz and the minotaur?"

"I will explain it later but for now let's head back to the old man place"

Bell who is confuse about the current situation didn't even get a proper explanation. But since Ray promise to talk later he accepted it for now because they're not in shape to explain everything.

After taking some time, They finally reach the outside. They immediately left the cave and head towards the Dwarf kingdom. But it seems someone was watching them.

The elf bandit spy finally find their target. The spy hesitate for a second, Should he just go for the kill or should he retreat and inform the boss. After lost in deep thoughts for a couple of minutes. The spy decide to inform his boss rather than attack them head on.

On Ray side he already told his friends to stay alert because someone was watching them. But it seems the spy retreat and it was the best choice because if he try to sneak attack them. It will be his lose.

"Just you wait kids"

Few hours have pass, They finally made it into the Dwarf kingdom and they're ready to get the new weapon. The old man told them to give him some time and it will be done before they realize it.

While in the deep inside of the forest.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes boss they headed to the Dwarf kingdom"

"Why don't you just finish them off?"

"My instinct told me to retreat and inform you about is boss"

Bang

The sound of the punch towards his own seat.

"If you die then there is no one gonna tell me where the kid that I was hunting. Good let's charge there now"
