CHAPTER EIGHT

RHYSAND'S POV

"Aye, wake up sleeping beauty." I say to Clyde as I poured a bucket of ice cold water on him. I am standing in here with Hunter and Avy , to have a talk with these two but however, I have something else in mind for Clyde. I have unfinished business with him.

"Uh, wha- what is it?" He abruptly wakes up and try to adjust to the light of the cell. The Alpha is already up, so we just had to wake up the dumb ass. God, he sleeps too much, as if everything is right for him.

"Finally he is awake." Avy says whilst rolling her eyes as she sits on the wooden chair in the room whilst putting her arms on the back of the chair and leaning on it.

"Rhysand?" He utters my name with disbelief and fear. Well good at least he knows, what's coming to him.

I give him a devilish smile. I have been waiting for this day for a long time now. This lover boy will feel, the pain, I felt years back.

"Yes its me Rhysand in the flesh." I say. The cell is awfully quiet, I'm pretty sure everyone in here is quite attentive, so as to know, what is the feud between me and Clyde. I have never told anyone, why my hatred for this pack especially their beta runs deep, not even Avy or Hunter. But after, today they will know why.

"So I'm sure that you know why I am here?" I say to him.

"That day was a misunderstanding, it was ten years ago , please let it go." He pleads

I take a step closer to him and crowded down to look him in the eyes.

"You know Clyde , the reason for evil in the world is that people are not able to tell their stories says a famous person once. I felt that and that is why I am here today." I smirk. "To tell you my story. I was once a good person, but you just had to give me a reason to show you my evil side."

I stand up again and walk back to my previous position.

"Everyone has always wondered , why I became rogue and that question alone brings back horrific memories, that will haunt me for the rest of eternity. All because of one jealous guy who could not stand a union by the moon goddess." I say whilst facing him as my anger rises when I start to go through memory lane.

"That was not my fault , let's just say you were sorry you got caught." He hoarsely says with a smirk plastered on his face.

The nerve of this guy. I rush over to him and punch him right in the jaw.

"You costed me my mate. I was innocent and you know it." I shout at him as there were harsh intakes of breaths from the other people in the room.

"You loved Meredith, she was dating you before she met me. Then when you came to the northern territory, for the New Moon Ball , Where Meredith and I met, you saw the connection we had, you knew for sure we were mates. You got jealous and framed me. Two days after I found Meredith, you got a girl to drug me and lie that I spent the night with her, you were so sire that Meredith would leave me but your plan back fired because you only made us stronger. When she finally told you that she wants to leave you and be with me, you could not stand loosing. So what do you do? You get pay a woman, to lie to my alpha and my pack that I raped her. You planned all the evidence well and guess what? Here I am. For fucks sake I was the beta and now I'm rogue and Mateless because of you. Meredith could not even look me in the eyes, the evidence was just too strong for her to believe me." I pour out my feelings that have been haunting me for over ten years now.

"What does it matter now? She is dead." He casually states.

I rush to him before he could blink and I hold him at his throat.

"Its because of you she is dead, she could not handle being away from me and all the accusations against me shattered her." My monster growls as my eyes glow yellow. He is out now and he wants blood, no one can stop him.

Delicate hands , touch mine and I look at who they belong to.

"Leave him, we still need him alive. Remember being alive is a better punishment than death." Avy tries to calm me down.

I take a deep breath, close my eyes and push my wolf to the back of my mind.

"So we are hear today, to talk to you about this pack, if you do not cooperate , we will have to do things by force." Shrugs Hunter.

"What do you want?" Questions the alpha.

"Oh you know exactly what we want." Continues Hunter. "We have come to stake claim on your pack."

The Alpha laughed humorlessly.

"Okay, enough of the jokes and get us out of here and we can forget about all of this."

"Wow!! Seems like we are a joke to you." Avy states as she takes a step forward.

"To be alpha, you have to win a duo or be of alpha blood , little one!!" He smirks at Avy.

"Was the battle earlier on not enough of a duo?" Asks Avy as she dares , the alpha to challenge her again. That's my girl.

He remains silent.

"I thought as much. Don't let my looks fool you, I may look like a lady but I can fight, I don't pull hair , I break bones. Now that we got that out of the way, here is the deal. Its either you peacefully sign over the pack to us or we have to kill you." States Avy.

Both the alpha and beta had a look of horror on their dumb faces. I'm pretty sure they never for once thought this moment would ever come especially Clyde and much less be overthrown by a female who is a rogue. They really should be embarrassed.

"You wouldn't dare kill a beta or alpha much less threaten them and take their territory." Says alpha Alrik. Wow, this guy is still in denial.

Avy sighs and signals one of the guards to bring in our little surprise.

" Brian?" Questions Alpha Alrik.

"This alpha right here." Avy states as she walks to Brian and pats his back. "Is a clear example of what I do to people if they don't cooperate." She states whilst she looks back at Alpha Alrik and Clyde.

"The only reason he is still alive is because he cooperated. But I could easily kill him and make things easier for me cause he has been a bad boy lately."

The alpha looked like he was contemplating on his desicion. Seems like the big bad alpha is now being a coward.

"What will happen to us, where will we live if you keep us alive because I am not liking this whole idea of a cell." He throws questions at us.

The three of us looked at each other and plaster sinister smiles on our faces.

"Don't worry, you will be given a place after you sign over your pack to me but however, you would live like my dear friend over here, just like any other pack member, no more privileges and all these other things you get as beta or alphas." States Hunter.

"Oh and also once everything has been settled , no under any circumstances, is word to get out about this new development, that will be my part to play. Understood?" Commands Avy.

"So do we have a deal?" Asks Avy to Alpha Alrik.

He remains quiet for a while and looks to his beta, then back at Avy as he says.

"Deal."

AVYANNA'S POV

I can't say its been rosy for the past weeks after having to merge Reika and Domhnall pack. It was difficult at first having them unite and start to work together. I knew they did not get along but I did not think their hatred for each other runs that deep. However, with a lot of threats and help from Hunter, Rhysand and the rogues we got things in order. Now both packs are improving in teamwork and co- existing. I got to say life is a bit tuff now that I am the Alpha Female of two packs, this means I am running a big pack, this is literally half of the wolf kingdom. Sometimes I feel defeated and overwhelmed with pack issues but however, I think of the reason why I started this , which is now my daily dose of motivation.

In a situation there is always a positive and a negative impact. The positive out of all this is growth. I have learnt how to be self reliant, a leader, strong both physically, mentally and emotionally especially during my occasional heats, I can say I have mastered how to get through heat without anyone's help including my mate, I also learned to be independent and how to must my powers and most importantly I have shown people that I am not what these rumors about me say , well until you cross my boundaries. That Alpha king rejected me thinking that I would break and wallow in self pity, however, what he did not know was that he was making me stronger in all aspects especially emotionally, if you want to destroy someone kill them with love and kindness not selfishness, after all what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, keep that in mind. My initial plan was to embarrass him by taking over his kingdom, right under his nose but now I got to admit I am enjoying the power I have.

From inside sources in the Asena Kingdom, I have heard the idiot has been moving heaven and earth trying to look for me , so as to bring an end to me or use me as a hostage to lessen his heat. But what he doesn't know is that I am no longer alone anymore, yes I was never alone before but now I have a bigger support system. Yes, I may have taken the two packs by force but I have earned their trust and love and besides after what they know that I am now their alpha, they now owe me loyalty. Its werewolf law that no matter who or what your Alpha is like, cruel or nice as long as they have the title, they would be loyal to the thrown, hence, they would lay their lives for me , if need be.

The alphas and betas of these two packs are another story. The arrogant idiot Brian is still finding it difficult to accept reality, he sometimes goes out of line and threatens to let the Alpha King know about this whole ordeal but his mate then calms down. Thank the moon goddess because if she did not she was going to be a widow. On the other hand, Alpha Alrik surprisingly has been cooperative, despite his terrible, cliché flirting tactics, that somehow always manages to tick Rhysand off. His beta Clyde is another topic. He had several attempts of trying to escape the pack grounds and go alert the king but all his attempts were in vain. Speaking of my little secret, I have not quite decided when I will release to the world , about my overthrow neither have I found a jaw breaking plan.

"Come in." I say to the person on the other side of my bedroom door. I had just come from dressing myself after a long relaxing both from my training earlier today.

"Good evening, Alpha I have a letter for you from ASENA." States Marissa , who is the General of the Reika pack. She is one of the most strong and efficient warriors, in this pack and despite her serious tone and stoic face, she is a nice person and she is one of the friends I have made here who updates me about everything in this pack.

"What is it about ?" I question her curiously as I am surprised that there is something from the king to us.

"I really do nor know , but they are two one for Reika and the other for Domhnall. I guess you should read to find out." She answers me as she hands me the letters.

I grab them and open the first letter to Reika and read through it, I do the same for the Domhnall letter. I then face Marissa.

"What is the New Moon Ball?" I question her. Seriously, the only time I have heard about it is when Rhysand mentioned it during the confrontation with Clyde but can you blame me, I have grew up in the woods all my life in hiding and have never been accustomed to this KOVA life.

Marissa looked at me like I have grown horns on my head. Probably she is shocked on my lack of knowledge on this event.

"What?"

"Nothing, its just that the New Moon Ball is the ball whereby every supernatural goes to , it is held every year in order to find their mate. Its like an easier way for people all over KOVA to meet and find their other half , well every creature except vampires. Werewolves hate vampires and we are the strongest supernaturals ,hence, everyone else isolates themselves from them I'm order to keep their alliance with wolves." As she trails of the last part probably because she knows I am part vampire

"Anyway, thanks for telling me." I say as I throw the letters on my bed, I just realized that I am not interested in going but the more I contemplate on this event whilst looking at my reflection in the mirror, I came to a decision. I guess its time people know who I really am and what I look like.

"You called?" Hunter asks as he leans on my door frame with folded arms and beside him Rhysand waits with his hands on his waist.

"Yes, I did. Read this." As I hand them the letters, I just received.

They read through them and face me again.

"Yes, its the New Moon Ball, so what's the big deal?" Rhysand asks uninterested.

I look at them and smile mischievously.

"Its time we pay the King another visit."
