"Hibi this isn't funny wake the fuck up"
I shook her limp body to no avail as her face had lost its lively glow and her eyes drained of light. My hand instinctively flew to her neck to feel her pulse and to my delight, I felt the normal staccato of her heart beneath my fingertips.
I brought the horse to a stop to check her back and there it was. My breath left my lungs at the arrow that was embedded deep into her back, I couldn't help but hope that it didn't touch her spine but as I brought up her shirt to gaze at the angry bleeding flesh I was not sure my hopefulness would prove helpful.
Fuck I need to get her out of here.
My eyes flew back to where my aunt was still standing and my blood ran cold. But not because of the overconfident but disappointed look on her face, no, it was the lack of a large furry body that previously stood beside her.
