Caspian is a Prince...well he was till he fled his kingdom to escape his tyrant of a mother. Hibiscus is a criminal. Wanted across the land, dead or alive, with an impressive bounty on her head. Their attraction is instant but it's hard to focus on it when they're both too busy running for their lives.

With them bouncing from kingdom to kingdom, with the Queen of Hearts hot on their heels an innocent adventure soon turns into a game of cards.

A Game Of Cards

One of the maids came forward to move the piece. I rolled my eyes at the way her hands were trembling as she slowly moved the piece across the board. Getting bored with her pace I grabbed her arm and dug my nails into her wrist. 


"I'd like to finish this game today If you wouldn't mind" I snapped. The small girl moved faster accidentally knocking over four pieces, making me groan. "Oh stop it, incompetent fool!" I slapped her hands away and moved the piece myself. 


"There," I beamed. I looked up at the dirty prisoner in front of me who was trembling in fear, after all, if he lost this game he would be losing his life. "Well don't just sit there looking stupid, it's your turn silly" I giggled. 


Fearful tears streamed down his face as he reached out to move his castle. I tutted silently, rookie mistake. 


The door opened calling my attention to it "You m-majesty" I tilted my head. "We have news following up on your son".
