CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Auria flipped from one monster to another, severing limbs left and right, her midnight hair flying like a banner behind her. She noted that there were more of these creatures than the last time they attacked which means there is a possibility that there is a nesting ground nearby. Frustrated and angry, Auria vented her wrath onto the creatures. Limbs were severed and soon she stood on a pile of monster heap, their acidic blood seeping through the ground. She jumped to the ground and ignited the bodies with blue flame.

Leo approached Auria as she stood looking at the burning bodies.

“You okay?” He asked.

Auria breathed and looked up to the sky. The stars winked innocently back at her. She felt helpless. Truly helpless.
