“I would have thought you’d be happy to see me.” The woman smirked.
While Lord Dalton gaped, Auria face palmed in frustration while the others scratched the back of their necks. This is why they were so worried about what to do. They did not want to push something against the wife of Cambria’s kingdom. Even Ian was hesitant in opening the interrogation room knowing that his own mother sat in the chair reserved for criminals.
Lord Dalton remained motionless. Auria expected this since it will come as a shock to see the woman that he was supposed to be married to cavorting with the enemy. She had expected Ian to take over the reins of interrogating the woman but like the whipped boy that he was, he refused to even go against his mother. Not that he knew anything about the woman. He just didn’t want to be the one to be the one to have his own mother, his flesh and blood be killed by his bare hands.
