It was 8 a.m. I was walking to my first class with Amy. We were giggling when suddenly I saw Dan walking towards the same direction. Amy and I quickly ran towards him. Dan looked a little withdrawn and distracted. I reached for his arm and his head whipped up, his blue eyes looked startled as he stared at me.
"Dan! Where have you been?! We missed you! Are you ok?" I said as I tightened my grip on his arm. Dan sighed as he put his arm around my shoulder and held me close. I held him too as we walked to the lecture hall. We found the last few seats available. I quickly booked the seats by putting my crap along the desk to stop people from sitting there. Amy booked for Trey and I booked one beside me for Liam. I looked around to see Liam, but he wasn't there yet since it was still early.
"So, tell us. We haven't see you since 3 days ago. What happened? Is Ryan still..you know..??" Amy said as we all sat in our seats. Dan sighed as he twiddled with his dog-eared notebook.
"Yeah, he still doesn't talk to me. But at least he came back home last night, so that's something. I guess. I'll just have to let him take all the time that he wants." Dan said with a wry smile. I gave his shoulder a squeeze. His handsome face was still etched with worry, though.
Just then I caught sight of Trey. He gave a smile and walked towards us. He came to our seats and put his bag beside me, before Amy could call him to sit beside her. I was just about to tell him that it was Liam's seat when he plopped in it. And at that precise moment, Liam showed up, flashing me his brilliant smile from a mile off. My heart melted. Damn, he's hot. He walked towards me. Quickly, I turned to Amy. SHe sighed and shook her head, a small smile on her lips.
"Hey, Trey. This is your seat. Over here!" Amy called and I just looked sheepishly at Trey. He seemed confused.
"I wanna sit here. What's the difference anyway?" Trey said with a shrug.
"Hi, morning babe." Liam said with a smile for me as he stepped close to our desk. Just then, Trey looked at Liam and suddenly it dawned on him of his faux pas.
"Oh, sorry man. I forgot." Trey said as he got up. Liam just gestured that it was okay with a smile. Trey smiled awkwardly and walked to the seat beside Amy. I saw his face. He looked a tad confused. When he flopped into the seat beside Amy, he didn't look up even once. He picked up his phone and fiddled with it like it was the most interesting thing he had ever seen.
Liam slid into the seat beside me and sat really close. He leaned into me and pecked me lightly on the lips. I blushed and smiled.
"Hey, gorgeous." Liam said with a smile. I just smiled like an idiot and twittered. Oh God, I twittered. Kill me now! Liam chuckled as he took out his laptop and switched it on, as usual. Just then, I turned and saw Dan staring at me, his face in shock.
"Seriously?!" Dan whispered suddenly as he looked at me incredulously, his eyes wide. I just nodded with a sheepish smile.
"You are telling me everything later!" Dan whispered excitedly as he grinned. I blushed as I glanced at Liam. Oooo.. He's wearing glasses today...Can he really get any sexier?! I was openly staring at him until somebody nudged me. I turned to the culprit in annoyance.
"What?!" I said urgently. Dan gave me a level look. He tapped the side of his mouth.
"Err, you might wanna wipe off that drool on your chin. A little obvious aren't we?" Dan whispered and my eyes widened. My right hand shot up to my face and I wiped off anything remotely resembling drool on my face. I felt my cheeks warm and I looked at my opened laptop, stopping myself from looking at anybody.
Class went on as normal and surprisingly nothing was different. Liam didn't bother me or distract me. If anything, he was very focused on the lecture, making me feel at ease and I didn't even care about holding my breath to keep my my stomach in. It was nice.
After class was over, I went out of the lecture hall and the others did the same. Just as I stepped out of the lecture hall, an arm slung itself over my shoulders. I looked and was surprised to see Trey.
"So, where do you wanna hang out while we wait for the next class?" Trey said casually as he looked at me and smiled. I frowned. I could see Amy and Dan staring at Trey like he had lost a few marbles.
"Um, bruh..You mind?" Liam asked softly with a wry smile as he took my hand. Trey looked confused for a bit, then he suddenly realized his mistake, yet again. His face red, he quickly pulled his arm from my shoulder. Liam pulled me close, rather protectively to his side.
"Oh God, I did it again, didn't I? Sorry, man. I really forgot. Sorry Hannah. Um, later!" Trey said quickly and walked away, not looking at Liam and me. That was so awkward, I almost felt sorry for him.
"Oh my god, that was so awkward. What's gotten into him?!" Amy said as we walked to a nearby cafe.
"I think our boy Trey needs to start growing up." Dan said as he walked beside Amy.
I didn't say anything, but I was so confused. Why was Trey acting so weird? It was really uncomfortable.
"Come on guys, let's go to that cafe over there. I'll buy us a round of chai lattes." Trey said, mentioning my favourite drink.
At the cafe, I was a little distracted with how weird Trey was acting just now. Amy was telling this really complicated story but I was not paying attention. Just then, I felt Liam squeezed my hand. I snapped out of my trance and looked at Liam questioningly. He gave a small smile and kissed me softly. I felt tingles all over and my face warmed.
"What are you thinking about? Are you thinking about Trey?" Liam asked softly. I looked at him and was about to deny it, but felt it was unfair to him to lie. Liam sighed as he kissed my cheek.
"He's a big boy. He'll be okay. He just has to get used to seeing us together. Just be normal, ok?" Liam said as he looked at me. I nodded my head and marveled at how gorgeous he looks with glasses. I'm not even joking. It's ridiculous how a beautiful human specimen could be with me right now.
Later, Liam went to his tutorial class, which was different from mine. He walked me to my tutorial room. Once we arrived, there were a few kids loitering outside since the tutor was not there yet. He pulled me close and kissed me on my cheek. I sighed. He smelt really nice.
"Um, so what time is Hailey's flight?" Liam asked as he held my hand.
"Oh, 3 p.m. We could go after tutorial. Meet me at my car at 1." I said.
"Okay, see you later, Babe." Liam said and kissed me quickly on the lips and smiled as he walked away. I sighed. This was unreal. It was too nice. Too good. Like something awful was about to happen. I couldn't be happy, at least not yet. I always seemed to jinx it. I turned and walked into the tutorial room.
At the airport, Hailey was jumping around like a Duracell bunny, driving everybody insane.
"Oh God, I'm so excited!" Hailey said as she squirmed in her seat. I had to laugh. She's worse than a 3 year-old. Soon it was time to board. Hailey hugged everybody. Most of us were there, except Dad. I sighed. He's really never going to change.
Before she boarded, she hugged Liam and said something in his ear that made him blink twice and then laughed nervously. I narrowed my eyes. Now what the heck that Hailey say to Liam?
Then she hugged me tight. I suddenly felt a lityle choked up. She was my only sister. I was going to miss her.
"You take care, ok. Call me if you need anything. " I said, a little choked up. She nodded her head, her eyes glistening with tears.
"I'll see you next year. We'll text when we can ok. And take care of that yummy Liam. He looks like he really likes you." Hailey said.
"Hey, what did you say to him just now? He looked pretty shaken up." I asked.
"Oh nothing. Just to take care of you. And that I'll get a shaman in Thailand to put a curse on him to make his dick fall off if he ever hurt you." Hailey said casually.
"Hailey!" I said, horrified as Hailey just looked innocent.
After she had boarded the plane, Liam and I walked to my car to go back to campus. Before we got into the car, I asked him.
"So, what did Hailey said to you just now?" I asked as I was about to open the car door.
"Oh, um, nothing. Just to take care of you when she's gone. That's all." Liam said casually and I bit a laugh. Of course.
When we arrived on campus, Liam parked my car in my spot near my dorm and got out. I did, too. As I walked to the dorm building, I turned to Liam to say good night, but he walked on beside me, his hand taking mine.
We stopped in front of my door. Liam just stood there, looking at me expectantly. I frowned. Okay, so this going to be a thing. He would not only send me to my room door, but follow me right into my room. Not that I'm complaining But I got out my keys anyway and unlocked my door. Liam gave way for me to enter and followed me in.
Just as I put my bag on my desk, I heard my door closed. I looked over my shoulder and Liam filled into the tiny room since he was so tall. It's not like it's his first time in my room. It's just kinda unnerved me, how tall, built and gorgeous he was. Especially since he looked so good in his black t-shirt and a beanie as well as a pair of Levi's that hugged his long legs and tight behind like a glove. I felt a little warm suddenly. Urgh, I am so gross, sexualizing Liam like that. But was I really that bad. I mean he is my boyfriend now, right?
"Um, you want a Coke? I'll get you one." I said, my voice went up a notch, a sure sign that I was nervous.
"Sure." Liam said as he sat on my bed. Eek! He's sitting on my bed! This was something new for me. No guy had ever been in my room before him, let alone sit on my bed and it made me nervous. I took the can of Coke from my mini fridge and turned around to give it to Liam when I almost knocked my face on his broad shoulder. I gasped a little and looked up, without meaning to. Liam held out his hand as he looked at me, a small smile on his lips as I handed him the can.
He took the can and I walked away to my wardrobe, taking off my jacket. I put my jacket in my wardrobe, my heart hammering. Just then, strong arms hugged me from behind. I gasped a little and heared a faint chuckle.
"I miss you, " Liam saud against my hair. I chuckled nervously.
"But we were together the whole day." I said incredulously.
"Yeah, but I couldn't hold you like this, " Liam said and then whirled me around to face him. He pulled me to him and pressed his soft lips to mine, kissing me deeply. I gasped a little and then sighed when he started kissing me. Oh God, he is such a good kisser. Well, at least I think so, sibce he's my first kiss. That kiss with Trey was nowhere near like this. We held each other tight as we kissed. When we finally pulled away, I stared at him. Liam's lips were red and swollen. His eyes full of somekind of emotion that made me colour. Liam chuckled and hugged me. I clung to him, feverish from the kiss.
"Sorry babe. I wanted to do that the whole day. Kinda lost it for a bit."Liam said as he inhaled the scent of my hair. I giggled, feeling happy.
"Hey, wanna see a movie this friday night?" Liam said as he held my hands in his and pulled me to sit on my bed.
"Sure, that'd be fun!" I said, excited to go on our first date. Liam smiled, gave me a final melting kiss and reluctantly got up when Amy walked into our room.
"Oops, sorry! Hi, Liam!" Amy said with a surprise smile on her lips.
"Hey Amy. Um, so I guess I see you tomorrow in class,Hannah." Liam said as his hand lingered, grasping mine still.
"Ok, see you tomorrow." I said with a smile. Liam bent down and quickly kissed my lips and went out of our room, waving at Amy and me
As soon as Liam left, I fell on my bed with a sigh. Amy laughed as she took off her jacket.
"He is so sexy. What is he doing with me? I think he must be blind. And stupid. And crazy." I said as I stared at the ceiling. Amy sat on my bed.
"You know, I hate it when you say stuff like that. You're hot and your boobs are wayyy better than most girls here. Plus you're smart. I guess Liam likes smart girls. There's nothing wrong with you. Urgh, I'd kill for your curves. " Amy groaned as she lay beside me.
"Really? Well, ok. But I feel like something's nagging at me, like something's about to go wrong. It's so weird." I said as I looked at Amy.
"Don't worry, it's going to be fine. Just stop worrying so much. Liam would never hurt you, ok. I will kill him if he does." Amy said as she lay on her stomach, and looked at me. I really hope she's right.
