SHE'S DEAD?!

SOPHIE'S POV

A pleasant morning to all of you! I woke up on the right side of the bed. Do you know why? Because today is my birthday! The excitement that I felt was suddenly replaced by nervousness for no reason. I just shrugged it off and went about my morning routine. When I went to the room, I saw Vanessa with the others.

"Hello!" I greeted them with enthusiasm

But instead of greeting me back or wishing me a happy birthday, they just gave me a cold stare and ignored me. I was saddened by what they had done. I was already on the verge of crying about the cold shoulders they were giving me now, but I stopped myself. Until break time, they just ignored me. Hell, they didn't even bother to smile or look at me. It was as if my heart was being crushed into pieces because of what they were doing. I expected that they would greet me with a broad smile on their faces because it was my birthday or we would have time to bond together, but it didn't happen.

Indeed, they were right that you shouldn't expect anything, because the more you expect, the more you will get hurt. But we can't also blame those who hoped they were just human and could not control how they felt. It is simple to say "do not expect," but it is difficult to do, especially if they demonstrate a motive to expect. Geez! I thought my birthday would be a great day, but I was wrong. I didn't even realize that the class had already ended because I was too busy wondering why Vanessa and the others were giving me cold shoulders. Maybe if I had done something wrong, that may have been the reason why they were treating me like that.

I was the only student left in the room, so I took my bag and left. When I came out, I saw no one, so I started to get nervous. While walking, all the lights suddenly turned on at the same time as everyone said.

"Happy birthday, Sophie!" Everyone shouts in unison, and I was shocked to see the students were all here. If earlier I wanted to cry with sadness, now I want to cry with too much happiness. And that's what I did. I kept on crying. Clyde immediately went to me. Clyde hugged me and comforted me.

"Shhh! Don't cry. Sorry for what we did earlier. It's just that it was part of our plan. We want to surprise you. " said Clyde, which made me raise my head to look at him.

He immediately wiped my tears with his thumb. I immediately kissed him and he responded. We kissed passionately. And we just parted when we were already out of air.

"You don't know how happy I am. This is the best birthday I have ever had." Clyde chuckled as I said those words.

"You're welcome," Clyde said. And after that, there was a party where everyone who had been invited had a meal, dancing, and time to bond with each other. In short, it was ecstatic! After a while, I told them that I was going home to my dorm, and they even offered to take me to my dorm, but I did not agree because I could go to my dorm alone. As I was walking towards my dorm, I passed a forest. I don't know why I suddenly walked into the forest as if my feet had a life of their own.

I tried to stop my foot, but I couldn't. I just kept on walking until I reached the middle of the forest. I saw a broken tree and there was a crescent moon engraved in the center of the tree with a circle in the middle. And when I saw it, I suddenly fell on my knees as my head started to hurt.

"Aaahhhhhhhh!" I shouted in agony.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Aaahhhhhhhh!" Sophie shouted and clutched her head.

This is the first time she has had such a severe headache. She did not know that her friends had been following her ever since she decided to go home alone. It hurts them to see Sophie in a situation like this.

"Aaaahhhh! It hurts! It hurts! Somebody help! Please help me! Take the pain away I'm begging you" Sophie shouted in pain.

Her friends looked away because they were so hurt by seeing their best friend in pain. They badly want to go beside Sophie and calm her down to ease her pain. They want to help Sophie, but they can't because it is written in the prophecy that she needs to deal with it alone.

Simultaneously, with Sophie's screaming and crying at the same time, the dragons roared, as if they knew how Sophie was feeling. Drake and the others put their hands in their ears. They did not want to hear Sophie's crying because it hurt them even more. They feel hurt that Sophie is hurting and suffering, but they can do nothing. And they feel so useless. They shut their eyes as they hug their girlfriends. After a while, Sophie suddenly fainted, and fortunately, Clyde caught her quickly. And they immediately took her to the hospital. They all cried and cried. Soon, the doctor came out, and at the same time, the king and queen arrived. They all bowed in respect.

"How is my daughter?" the queen immediately asked.

"I'm so sorry, your highness, but Princess Sophia's current condition is critical; perhaps she'll only live for a few years, months, weeks, days, or, at worst, hours or seconds; it will only take a while," said the doctor. And suddenly, Clyde grabbed the doctor's collar.

"That's not true! Tell me she won't die! Who are you to decide when she will not die? " Clyde shouted angrily.

Drake immediately grabbed his arm while also crying. Clyde immediately confronted Drake, and Drake just shook his head, as if he was saying that he should not do that to the doctor.

"I'm sorry, your highness, but we have already done our best." The doctor left immediately due to their fear of Clyde. Sophie's family and friends immediately went to her. Everyone immediately cried, and they still couldn't believe that they could only be with Sophie for a few years, months, weeks, days, or worse, minutes.

After a few days, Sophie's condition still hasn't changed. Her condition isn't improving at all. One day, they decide to talk to Sophie one by one, as if she's awake.

The queen walks closer to Sophie with the king. The queen held her daughter's hand, and the king was just standing behind the queen.

"Daughter, please wake up. I'm begging you. You still haven't even remembered us yet, and it's been a few years since we ate together. Please, please wake up. I still haven't even heard you call us again, mother and father once again. Now that we have finally found you, will you deny us the opportunity to be with you? Please wake up. We miss you," her highness said while crying. Then Vanessa, who was crying, walked towards Sophie.

"Hey, bestie, wake up! Will you? I miss you so much. I can't even tell you that I'm happy because we became best friends and I still haven't thanked you because if it weren't for you, I and your brother would not be possible, so please wake up. I haven't told you about what happened to us ever since you disappeared, so please wake up." Vanessa said this while crying and returned to her place earlier.

Next, Yna came with the blaze. "Hey girl, will you please wake up? I still haven't thanked you because if it weren't for you, Blaze and I wouldn't be in a relationship, so please wake up, " Yna said while crying, and Blaze caressed Yna's back and they went back to their seats earlier. And they came one after another and told Sophie their thoughts.

Next, Drake approached with his eyes closed. "Sis, if you are tired of sleeping and lying down, you can wake up if you want, and it would be better if it's right now. I wish I was the only one in your position. The two of us are having a hard time, and I am hurting because every time you need help, there's nothing I can do. Please wake up. I love you so much. " Drake said while weeping and went back to his place where he was next to Vanessa, who was still crying.

Next came Clyde, who held Sophie's hand tightly and also caressed Sophie's hair. "Mine, I feel sorry for you. Please wake up, I miss you so much, " said Clyde as his tears continued to flow, which was almost swollen and tearful.

"I am very sad. We are sad that you will disappear, and I will not be able to afford to lose you again. If only I could transfer the pain you feel to me. Now I have done it. Do not give up. Fight not just for us, but also for yourself. If I used to be able to cope without you, it is because I know you will come back and you can come back, but if we lose you again now, you will not be able to come back, so I'm begging you don't leave me, "said Clyde while crying.

"You are the reason the group is so happy. Without you, the group would not be so happy. Without you, the group wouldn't be the same again. I know you don't want us to be sad, so fight. Fear started to consume them.

They immediately called the doctor. The doctor immediately went, and they all came out immediately and used the defibrillator on Sophie. And they were all crying so hard. While the women were waiting, they covered their faces with their hands while crying, and some of the men punched the wall while the others clenched their fists.

"Please fight, don't give up. We're begging you, princess," they all said. Soon, the doctor came out. Immediately, they all approached the doctor.

"Doc. How is my daughter? " The Queen asked, but instead of answering, he just shook his head. Clyde laughed in disbelief.

"You're joking, right? You say you're just kidding, right?! Take back what you said! Sophie isn't dead yet! That's not true! " Clyde shouted

"I'm very sorry, your highness. We did everything but her brain gave up, " said the doctor. They immediately ran to where the princess was, and they looked to see if Sophie's heart was beating anymore because they couldn't believe that Sophie was gone. And they confirmed that she's now really gone. She had already left them.

"NOOO!" they all shouted as they wept.

The woman who gave them happiness is now gone. The woman who used to protect and support them is gone. The woman who taught them to love without fear is gone. The woman who helped them to know themselves even more. The woman who taught them how to be a better person is now gone. The woman they loved the most is gone forever.
