Chapter Four

Much later on before the others are supposed to arrive, Mel takes a quick shower and changes into a short dress, putting sandals on this time. She makes sure her hair is perfect, applies a little makeup and then makes her way downstairs. She finds Alex sat in the living room on the sofa. He looks at her and smiles, so she smiles back. As her face becomes slightly pink she asks "Where is Kevin?" Alex says "In the kitchen." She thanks him and walks into the kitchen feeling Alex's eyes watching her. Kevin is stood in there with a pretty girl. He says "Mel this is my girlfriend Anna." They say hello to each other and she seems like a nice girl. She is about 5ft 4, the same height as Mel and has dark red straight hair that comes down to her shoulders.

Mel then asks Kevin "So when are the others getting here? I already found Alex in the living room." Kevin coughs a little and he has a nervous look on his face as he says "Hmm about that, you know a really weird thing has happened. None of them could make it." Mel knows by the look on his face that he is lying so she says "Kevin, tell me the truth. There was no other people coming was there? You never invited anyone else did you?" Kevin looks at his girlfriend for help but she puts her hands up as if to say 'you're on your own with this one.' So he narrows his eyes at her making her giggle, before looking at Mel and saying "Well I was going to invite the others but when you admitted that you are attracted to Alex, I didn't bother to invite them. I just invited Alex and of course Anna." Mel gives a sigh "So this is kind of a double date thing? Alex doesn't know that I like him does he?" Kevin swallows hard and says "Well he didn't, but..." and he is looking behind Mel at the door. Mel already knows what he is looking at, or more like whom. But she slowly turns around hoping that she is wrong. But as she faces the door, there is Alex looking at her with those sexy eyes. Mel's face now becomes very red and she quickly passes Alex mumbling "Excuse me" and walks through the living room and out into the garden.

After some minutes, Mel senses that someone is stood behind her but she doesn't turn around to look. Then Alex says "Are you okay?" Mel shakes her head no and she feels him put his hand on her arm which makes a tingling feeling go through her. He gently turns her around to face him but she doesn't look up at his face, she still feels a little shy. She then softly says "You weren't supposed to hear what was said in the kitchen." Alex gently puts his hand under her chin and slowly lifts her head up so she has to look in his eyes. Why does he have to have such sexy eyes? Her face is still slightly red and Alex says "Don't feel embarrassed, I would like to get to know you. All I know about you is what Kevin has told us." Mel must have a shocked look on her face because Alex smiles before saying "I like you and we kind of shared a moment when we were rehearsing that song earlier today."

Mel smiles as she remembers that part of the dance for the second time today where their eyes met and he winked at her. She says "You weren't supposed to see me watching you dance either" making Alex chuckle. She then says "I would like to get to know you too. Well I guess Kevin's plan worked." Alex looks confused and says "Plan? What plan?" Mel is silent for a few seconds before she replies "Kevin wanted to set me up with someone while I am here. He thinks that if he finds someone for me then I wouldn't be able to leave that person here so would stay and live here forver. He asked me if I like anyone in your group because he says I was blushing a lot earlier when I was with you all. My face became red when he said this and he told me he thought it was Daniel, Matt or you. He guessed it was you when my face became even more red after he mentioned your name."

Alex nods but stays quiet letting Mel finish. "He originally told me he was inviting the group and a couple of other people and also Anna. Then just now when I went looking for him in the kitchen, he tried to tell me that nobody else could make it. But when I didn't believe him he finally admitted he didn't invite anyone else, making this a kind of double date." Alex looks shocked and says "Wow, he really had this all planned out didn't he?" As Mel nods and looks at Alex she gets the sudden need to be kissed by those gorgeous lips. She slowly puts her tongue out to lick her lips as they have gone dry. She sees Alex's eyes move from her eyes to her mouth. As if reading her mind he slowly leans closer and kisses her softly. His kiss makes her feel dizzy so she has to put her hands on him to hold herself up as he continues the kiss.
