Kaleen nudged Sandman. ‘Sandman wake up.’
‘Wha!’ He said groaning underneath his baseball cap.
‘We’re here.’
Sandman pulled up his baseball cap, pulling himself up in the chair.
‘Where are we going?’
‘That hotel over there on the right.’ He said pointing in front of him.
Kaleen drove up the road parking in front of the hotel, a white building that stood tall with ‘the plaza’ on a letter board over the top of the double doors. ‘Are you sure you can afford this place?’
‘It’s only for one night chill.’
He looked over at the back of the car seat Ice and Candice were sleeping. ‘We better wake them.’
‘O-kay!’
‘Bro!’ Sandman said.
No answer.
‘BRO!’ Sandman shouted, startling Ice.
‘What where’s the fire!’ Ice said in a panic.
‘Chill bro there aint no fire! We’ve stopped we’re in Paris. Wake her up will you.’
‘Sure.’ Ice replied, turned to Candice. ‘Bab wake up.’
Nothing.
‘CANDICE!’
