Kaleen felt someone watching her, standing over her, she suddenly opened her eyes. Sandman stood at the side of the bed looking at her. ‘Sandman what are you doing here?’ she asked pulling herself up.

He stood there in silence not saying a single word, just staring at her, searching for the words to say to her in his head.

‘I thought that they’d took you away?’

He finally spoke. ‘They have I’m just getting checked over, they let me have five with you before they took me back to prison.’

He stood staring at her.

‘Wha!’ she snapped felling paranoid.

‘Why didn’t you tell me?’ He said rubbing the back of his neck. ‘About the baby I mean.’

‘I didn’t know, honest.’

‘What if you had would you have got rid of it?’

‘Would you have let me?’

‘No, I wanted a family, a proper family that I could at least call my own and I wanted it with you. A chance to start again to make a go of things with you and maybe change what went wrong in my own life make it right,’
