I woke up coughing, my chest burning and my eyes tearing up as I struggled to take in a breath. I turn my body so that I’m laying on my right side and look at the clock, 12:56 AM. I rip off the tub in my nose and slowly get up from the bed, not wanting to wake up Dean. I slip on my slippers and turn off the machine, then slowly walk out of the bedroom. I enter the kitchen and flip on the dim lights overhead. I fill up the boiler with water and turn it on to make some hot tea. All the while I am in deep thought, rewinding the day in my mind. I feel a gentle touch on my shoulder, I turn around to see Sam standing behind me with a worried look on his face.
"Hey there. What are you doing up so late?" He whispers
I look up at him, it’s almost like it still has not registered in my mind that he is standing right in front of me. The water starts to whistle at that moment and Sam grabs two cups and some chamomile tea from the cupboard and pours the hot water in each cup.
