ADJUST A LITTLE

KING

We ran through the woods without getting caught by the helicopter while the attackers, who were chasing after us were distracted by Cameron. I have been through this before, but this time it was different. I would have done things differently if I was alone or with Cameron, but this time I had someone to take care. I had to rethink every step again and again. I had to hide her identity.

So far, she was not a pain for me. I was in-fact impressed by how fast she could run with good stamina. I have never thought that my training would come this handy someday.

It had been more than two hours we were running when she halted to sit on a branch of a nearby tree.

"My legs- they are killing me. I- I can't run more." She gasped through the ragged breath.

I took a look around wiping a trail of sweat on my forehead. From the looks of it, we were stuck somewhere in the woods and have crossed the boundaries of my property a long time ago.

"We can't stop. Get up." I said sternly.
