WAY OUT

KING

It was past afternoon, and we had not any plan other than waiting for Gabriel's call. Fire was awfully quiet after the call with Benjamin Lachat. I didn't bother to make a conversation as this peace was what I needed to think.

My hand was in pain from the untreated injury that I got when those six bastards attacked us in the woods. We spent the last night in a shelter of one shop. We had no money, food or anything other than this phone.

As per my guess, that man has already filed a complaint about his missing phone. We couldn't keep this phone with us longer. If Gabriel wouldn't call until the evening, I would throw the phone, and then we would again come back to square one.

The phone rang flashing an unknown number showing the code of states. I picked up the call taking a look around to ensure that no one was listening.

"Hello"

"King. Thank god you are safe! Where are you? What happened?" Gabriel bombarded me with questions anxiously.
