Over the next 20 or so years, each country would made their own breakthroughs in different fields, The UFA both began and successfully developed weaponized Mechanical Suits or Mechs, with the government being the only one researching them.

The first operational deployed mech's were dubbed the X-1's, With X-0's being the prototype. the First editions, The X-1's Stood roughly 8 meters, weighed 400 tons tall Walked quad-pedal and with a top sprint of 40 km/h wasn't the best but allowed for extensive armaments compared to traditional MBT's, however they did not have arms, only weapon mounts for the sides and top. due to this flaw, The X-1's only entered service for 2 years before being replaced with the better and longer lasting X-2's.

The X-2's would last a total of 10 years in military service, and are still in use for police service. They stood 9.5 meters tall Weight 550 tons, And had a "sprint" top speed of 65 km/h! extremely close to an Abrams top speed record pre freeze.. contained much better armor, And along with the variable mounts on the rear back area, the new model contained arms with mounting points for extra equipment, armor, weapons etc. along with the arms come the hands. obviously a 9.5 meter tall giant can't use a tiny m4a1, let alone just making it bigger there is no point in doing so.

so the new government formed a new corporation with John Anderson being the leader and sole shareholder, Having proved his ability as head of research on the X series mech's He was given a budget and the research plans of the Federation. As such he was tasked with further research on the X series and As well as researching weapons to be wielded by the new X-2's over The years the Anderson corporation released 100's of weapons and variations on the X-2's Even going as far as being granted permission to sell less powerful variants to the Commonwealth for their military and police.

All countries were somewhat similar in regards to technology levels, however, The federation had a 1 up it was working on. in the year 2056 the federation unveiled their Space Elevator, codenamed BABEL. With regards to this in the next 10 years The commonwealth unveiled their own elevator, Russian however using bio engineering among other things managed to create fuel and bio mechanical *creatures* to get them to space at about double a space elevators price. Why suddenly research space elevators? The TRAU had breakthroughs in bio-material science...

In the year 2051 UFA spies discovered that TRAU had successfully discovered and started mass production of a new chitin like substance mixed with steel, dubbed "Bio Alloy" the new branch of materials were stronger then titanium by almost twice as much whilst weighing half as much, The first material was called Bio Steel. And was immediately equipped to TRAU Armor and aircraft, What really made this new substance so special was its ability to self repair when given iron dust and nutrients. This was the beginning of the arms race between TRAU and the UFA.

Over the next 4 years UFA under pressure developed the new Titanium-graphene alloy, Dubbed Titanphite. Using this new material, the UFA began large production for military use, Meanwhile the Anderson corporation began production of the new X-3's and in 2065 the X-3 was developed

The new model, using the new super material The new mechs were not only lighter but had a better carry weight the new models had reduced armor depth by about 1/4, the new models stand 12.5 meters tall and only weigh 450 tons, This more then tripled the carry weight of ammunition and weapons, along with equipment.

The Anderson Corporation would produce only a few variants of the new model before the year 2080, The reason? The corporation had successfully managed to harness cold nuclear fusion in a small area, This allowed newer mechs to be installed with not radioactive mini-reactors, these new reactors were dubbed the B-2's after the B-1's which were standard fission reactors, The pilots no longer had to fear radiation leaks. Along with that, the new power boost by over 300% over its predecessor would allow for more options in equipment. these were deployed as standard squads to all units before the year 2082.

Post deployment, under high orders, In a secret compound deep in what was once New Mexico The Anderson corporation developed the X-4's, While the expected shelf life of the new highly interchangeable X-3's meant a new unit would not be needed for 20 years. The new project code named "epsilon project" aimed to create a special forces unit that was at least 2 generations ahead of main enemy forces.

The corporation was given exclusive use of the resources from a 1000m diameter asteroid that was captured and kept secret. The asteroid contained 7% stone 14% titanium 29% osmium and an astonishing 50% Platinum! Using the new materials and a hefty budget with tight deadlines in the year 2083 A breakthrough was made on this new material, Composed of a triple alloy of 10% Platinum 20% osmium and 35% titanium and 35% graphene. The new alloy was more resistant than anything discovered thus far, With the Material requiring about 70 GWh's of energy just to be properly bonded, it has to be kept at this temperature for about 24 hours and then once molded should not be reshaped. the metal contained around 5x the strength and armor of the previous Titanphite. This new material, along with all the excess budget given, would be used to create a new super series of mechs. The X-4's.
