A Promise

Shu Jin stopped playing Qin when he saw Ying Yue had calmed down. He rested his fingers on the strings when he noticed that Ying Yue was moving at her place. He was curious and at the same time confused. "Why is Miss Yue moving at her place?" murmured Shui Jin. The other movements confused him further as Ying Yue started to stretch all around the place.

"Ahh, for many days I have not stretched my body. I should do some stretching, followed up by a warm up," muttered Ying Yue and then starched out her arms high towards the wooden ceiling of the pavilion. She then spread her legs out and then did some stretching at them. "It feels so nice," she mumbled and continued her workout.

Shui Jin looked at Ying Yue with shocked expressions as she was shamelessly pulling up her robes.

He turned his head to the other side so that he would not have to watch Ying Yue being like this, however after a while he turned his face little towards Yue's direction and peeked a bit. "Why is Miss Yue being like this?Any disciple who might spot her like this may get the wrong idea regarding her".murmured Shui Jin.

He moved his hand over the Qin and thus it vanished from there. He stood up, with his one hand at his back while with the other hand he held his sword.

Ying Yue moved her shoulders and then rose up her arms at the front till her shoulder and started moving them as a swimmer. Shui Jin who was going to approach her froze in his spot as he found Miss Yue swimming. Ying Yue on the other hand was busy imagining herself in the pool with her eyes closed. She imagined herself swimming as people kept cheering for her when she before the image from the day she lost the match and jumped from the huge building flashed in front of her eyes.

"Ahh," a shout escaped her mouth. She put down her hands and opened her eyelids. Her breathing was uneven along with the irregular thumping sounds of her heart as she supported herself from the wooden pillar there. Shui Jin decided to observe her a bit longer. A moment later, she stabilized herself and she left the pavilion. Shui Jin followed her till she reached the quarters' region.

"Why did Miss Yue scream like that? Was it perhaps from the recollection of that sudden fall that resulted into losing her memories?" thought Shui Jin. As he was walking through the corridors he encountered Master Liko, the great librarian of Taiyi Divine Academy. He slightly bowed his head. Master Liko had a broad smile on his lips. He too bowed his head before Shui Jin. "It is my pleasure to get the opportunity to see young Lord Fu," asserted the Master Liko.

"It's an indeed pleasure of mine to meet the divine librarian," stated Young Lord Fu.

Master Liko showed the way to Young Lord Fu so that they could have a nice conversation in private. As they reached the Divine library region, Master Liko took Shui Jin to his chamber. He told him to take the seat thus resting him comfortably. Shui Jin thanked him and took the seat. As they were seated, Master Liko asked, "What kind of help can I offer you this time?"

"Master Liko, how do you know I am going to ask for some help?" Shui Jin asked softly.

"You are the great immortal cultivator who hardly steps out of the Jin Sect. So, the task must be important. The last time you did was almost 300 years ago. I got to know from Lord Rui that the Huo Sect princess has come here as a disciple and that you have especially appealed to Lord Rui to train Miss Yue in this academy. This is a well known fact that the Huo sect princess has always suffered due to her poor health. Learning the art of cultivation for a normal person can be fatal if he/she has nil Qi but since Miss Yue is Fire Spirit she is alive till this day," Master Liko asserted.

"Seems like there is nothing one can hide from the honourable Master Liko. You are already aware of the facts which are unknown to many". Fu Shui Jin gave him a polite smile. "I just want you to encourage Miss Yue whenever she would feel discouraged. There will be many circumstances when Miss Yue will will have the urge to quit but I want you to perusade her to continue her practices in those situations," muttered Shui Jin.

Master Liko smiled and nodded at him. "Do not worry. I will make sure that Miss Yue learns the cultivation in the best possible way," stated Master Liko. Shui Jin expressed his gratitude towards him and the two talked for a few more minutes when Shui Jin took his leave from there.

Ying Yue was outside walking to and fro, thinking if she should go inside or not. "This is your room so why are you so scared? Just get in," said the inner voice of Ying Yue. She put the palm on the door when she stopped. "I do not want to see their faces. That girl will again start saying something which will make me angry," thought Ying Yue when Zhangsun Shan saw her. "What is Miss Yue doing here?" wondered Zhangsun Shan so went near Ying Yue.

"Miss Yue, what are you doing here?" Zhangsun Shan asked softly. Hearing him, she immediately turned to him and with a tiny smile said, "I was about to go inside."

"You cannot go inside," asserted Zhangsun Shan in a deep bold voice. Ying Yue was taken aback as she gave him a confused expression. "I mean at this time of the day you should be in the prayer ground. You would be punished if someone else sees you here," he stated further.

Ying Yue huffed hearing that. "Why are there so many punishments? Earlier too I was punished when I did nothing wrong. That actress framed me," muttered Ying Yue in anger.

"May I ask why are you punished?" Zhangsun Shan asked.

"Why? Can you reduce that punishment?" Ying Yue asked.

"I can because you are a new disciple and you are not aware of many things around here," asserted Zhangsun Shan.

Ying Yue's eyes glistened hearing that. "Brother, are you telling the truth?" Ying Yue asked to confirm if he could really reduce her punishment.

"Yes, Miss Yue," replied Zhangsun Shan.

Ying Yue gave a broad smile to him and then narrated the entire incident to him. "Now you know brother then do something about this. I cannot clean 500 quarters in a day. It is impossible for me," mumbled Ying Yue.

Zhangsun Shan then spoke, "Do not worry Miss Yue. I will talk with Qiu Si and tell her to reduce the punishment. But Miss Yue you have to promise me that no such thing will ever occur from your end in the future."

Ying Yue agreed. "I will never do such a thing. I will abide by the rules of the academy. I swear," asserted Ying Yue, raising her three fingers to make a promise. Zhangsun Shan smiled and then told Miss Yue to follow him.
