Awake

Hey guys! So, I was thinking that from now on, I'd do a deep psychology fact or a fact that I find interesting at the beginning of a chapter, and give my opinion on it! I wanted you guys to enjoy these more.

Here's today's fact: Paranormal experts say that if saw someone unfamiliar in your dream, it's actually the ghost watching you while you sleep.

I don't know how true that is, but I guess everyone believes different things. I believe in ghosts guys, as ridiculous as that sounds. I don't believe in Bloody Mary or The Grudge ghosts and all that. I believe in energy that was left here by people who died. I believe that the energy was left here to oversee the person's dream and make it come true (according to what Hindus believe in...because I'm one). When that happens, the energy will go back to its host. Something like that.

Hope that was interesting for you guys! What's your opinion on this statement?

Without further ado, STORY TIME:

Jason Grace (First Person)

I woke up in the Zeus cabin, the familiar statue of the man himself glowering at me. I sat up, my back throbbing. I reached back and gingerly touched the spot Caligula's spear hit me.

Weirdly enough, I didn't remember anything after getting pierced by that thing. The most logical thing that could have happened was that Tempest might have found me and brought me back to camp. Otherwise, how would I be alive?

I groaned as I tried to stand up, my back aching and tingling. I sighed and stretched, feeling ridiculously energized. I walked over to my bathroom and came out fifteen minutes later looking fresh and ready to train.

I checked the clock on my wall: 8:00 A.M.

Percy should have been training by now. I opened the door to the outside, taking in the fresh camp air. It had been too long. Jogging over to the training area, I saw Will trying to teach Percy to how to shoot a bow at a target instead of...at himself.

On the other hand, I saw Nico next to Percy, just completely dominating archery - making one bullseye after another. I smiled and walked up behind him.

He must have sensed me there because he quickly turned around, an arrow pointed to my throat. When he saw me, though, he became paler than usual - that's saying something.

Percy looked to us and had the exact same reaction. I chuckled nervously, "Hey, guys..."

Percy looked at Nico then back to me, grinning, "Jason. Bro. Thank the gods you're okay."

He hugged me. I patted him on the back, raising an eyebrow, "Of course I'd be okay. A spear to the back isn't going to kill me. Especially since Tempest brought me back in time."

Percy withdrew, "Wait. What?"

I laughed, "Tempest. He was the one who brought me to camp. Then Will helped save me. Right?"

Percy and Nico shared a look. Nico walked up next to Percy, " You don't remember?"

I lowered my smile, "Remember what?"

"You died, Jason." Nico said, choking back, what sounded like, a strangled sob.

I snickered, "Don't be ridiculous-"

Percy cut me off, a dead serious expression donning his face, "He's not kidding."

That hit me like a cold wave. My brain went a million miles an hour, trying to figure possibilities of resurrecting a dead person. It was impossible. I didn't even remember going to Hades or anything...so how?

Nico must have known what I was thinking because he sighed and said, "You missed some things..."

He continued to to tell me everything that had happened: him and will helping Apollo, Percy getting into a team called the avengers, the prophecy, Chiron getting a new wheelchair, and even how they brought me back from the dead.

It was a lot to take in, considering I had just woken up and hadn't eaten breakfast. To me, it felt like only a day had passed since the whole spear fiasco. Alarmingly, it had been two months, and what was even worse, Percy didn't know about it until a few days ago.

I decided to just swallow and nod - not knowing if there was anything right to say in this situation. Percy smiled and slung his hand over my shoulder, "Now that that's taken care of, lemme introduce you to the Avengers."

I chuckled and walked with him, looking around camp. Home sweet home. I looked at Percy, a thought springing to my mind, "How's Piper?"

Percy tensed and ran a hand through his hair, "She's...fine."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "And?"

He sighed, "She got a girlfriend. Her name is Shelly. She's a mortal."

I froze and strained a smile, "I'm...happy for her. She found someone, and she's happy. That's all that matters."

Percy patted my shoulder, "Sorry, man. If it makes you feel any better, Drew's still open."

I chuckled half-heartedly, "I think I'll pass. Where is Piper anyway?"

Percy smiled, "Out with Shelly. Went to IHOP."

I nodded grimly.

Suddenly, Annabeth ran up to us, grinning at me. She greeted me, and told Percy and I to move our butts to the Big House. Chiron had apparently called a counselor meeting to discuss our next course of action for the upcoming war.

I sighed, "One day back to life, and I don't even get a nice, relaxing morning."

Percy laughed, " The life of a demigod, bro. What can you do?"

I facepalmed, "I hate this."

Percy grinned, "Don't we all?" He looked to the Big House, "Race ya!"

He started running, making me chase after him yelling, "Cheater! You didn't say go!"

I looked behind me to see Annabeth walking behind us, shaking her head and smiling. I grinned at her. In retrospect, I really should have been watching in front of me, because right as I passed the Hephaestus cabin, a rogue brick launched itself at me and hit my forehead.

I passed out.

Apparently, I had to be dragged by both Percy and Annabeth to Big House to be taken care of. What a great start to the day, right?

Hey guysss. Sorry about the late and choppy chapter. This was a little difficult to write as a whole, and I did a bunch of revisions to get you guys the best version.

I hope you enjoyed it. I'm so sorry again if it's weird to read. It's technically just a filler chapter.

Anyway, thanks for reading my friends!

For all of you who gave my story a chance, thanks so much.

Thanks everyone! See you soon!
