Club BLUE

Blue is one of the well-known high-end clubs in the city. Many people along with foreigners come here to experience the city's nightlife. Nevertheless, only a few people really know how shady this club actually is. Many illegal works, bribing and many business deals are done under the table in the dimly lit private rooms of this club. But the people who didn't know all these, would come with their friends, get drunk and let themselves loose on the dance floor.

However, this club has one specialty, every Thursday night a special performance would take place at the music corner of the club. This is mostly arranged for talented performers who want to debut but can't get the attention. Some will sing, some dance, and some will only play musical instruments. Since many high-class people and entertainers often come to the club, it is easy to catch their eyes with such performances. And many businessmen also loved to watch this kind of performance and sometimes pick girls to be their mistresses. That's why many of them would conduct their meetings on Thursdays so they can watch performances and also can go fishing for fresh faces.

It was one of those Thursdays, and the club was busy as usual with people who have business deals to conduct there rather than those who were interested in nightlife. But some young people were still there, laughing, drinking, and swaying to the music on the dance floor but the number was very few. Someone has booked the music corner for one performance tonight but they didn't show up yet.

In one of the dimly lit private corners, a beautiful young woman in her early twenties was seating elegantly and observing the crowd uncomfortably. She had a face of an angel with sharp features, smooth flawless skin, rosy cheeks, and seductive lips that anyone would want to kiss. Her beautiful hazel eyes were looking around, very alert at her surroundings as she was taking on all the details inside the club. she looked like this was the last place she wanted to be yet she sat there and nervously fidgeted with her fingers.

Ava Green was feeling a bit queasy, she was a quiet type and never really liked places like this. The combined smell of cigars and alcohol was making her sick to the stomach but she endured it for the sake of her father's company. She was here for a business deal. Beside her, a man was seated leisurely, who also had handsome features, wore designer clothes, and an expensive watch on his wrist but his face was calculative and the smile on his face was somewhat wicked. The man was Ava's boyfriend, Jacob Adam! Ava looked at him and felt even more uncomfortable in her heart.

Jacob raised a bottle of Merlot and pour Ava a glass of wine. He could catch on Ava's anxiety, he casually said, "Baby you know we need this account for the survival of the company, otherwise, I wouldn't have asked you to accompany me here tonight. Mr. Miller from TM Group is very fond of musical instruments, so I have booked the music corner here for tonight. Your Piano skills are so good, if you play for him, I am sure he will be very pleased and will consider giving us an account and if everything goes well we might sign the contract before the night ends." Jacob said with hopeful eyes.

Ava raised her eyes and stared at the man in front of her with complicated eyes. She took the wine from his hand and drank it in one gulp, she needed the alcohol for strength tonight. The sour and spicy taste of wine burned through her throat but she welcomed it. She and Jacob have been dating for the past four years, he knew everything she went through in the past, yet he wants her to play tonight. More precisely, he wants her to please an old man with her music performance to get an account. She didn't know what to think of it, after all the account would benefit her father's company. Generally speaking, it shouldn't be a big deal as many people do this kind of thing but it was a big deal for Ava.

Jacob saw through Ava's hesitation, he smiled charmingly and said reassuringly, "Baby, don't worry I will be by your side the whole time, I won't let anything happen to you, I promise!"

Ava stayed quiet and lowered her head. Not long ago, the Green Enterprise lost two very big accounts and got heavily indebted overnight. Her mother called her and she came back from the UK leaving her residency halfway. She didn't know anything about business, instead, it has been her boyfriend Jacob, who was working at the company alongside her father.

Jacob told her that the TM group's business network is very big, and if they could get an account with them, it not only will help with their current situation but also will expand their business network in the future. As long as she can persuade Mr. Miller, she can save the company. Ava couldn't bear to see her father's whole life's hard work go into vain, so even if she was reluctant, she still came here tonight.
