The Moving Out

After work, Ava returned home. James was busy with official work in his study because Green's Group just experienced some big crisis, there were many things waiting for that needed his immediate attention. Lily was watching TV in the living room. Ava looked at the house with a deep longing in her eyes. Tomorrow, she will not be here. She will have to leave just after she came back to their home.

After dinner, the family of three sat on the sofa and chatted happily. James and Lily were both very happy and even talked about Ava's marriage.

"Ava, our family is so lovely, you must marry a handsome young man in the future." Lily was as usual trying to remind Ava to find a partner and get married.

"What's the use of being handsome? As long as he is an honest man and nice to our family, that will do." James obviously disagreed with Lily's point of view.

Ava listened to her parents silently. Seeing her parents talking so happily, she hated to interrupt them. However, she had to tell them.

"Mom Dad, I have something to tell you guys." Ava coughed twice and interrupted the conversation.

Lily and James both stopped talking and looked at Ava with a smile. The couple's action was very harmonious and they looked very attentive.

"Mom, Dad, what I am about to tell you might not make you happy, but I still need to say it. The hospital has been engaged in a research project recently, and I also need to work on that, we will have to spend the majority of our time at the hospital, so me and my colleagues decided to live in the hospital residential area for a while, it will be convenient for us to continue the research."

Words fell, the air became quiet in the living room.

"Ava, you're moving out?" Lily said with a look of overjoy.

Ava was at a loss, 'why does her mother look so happy? She thought her mother would be so angry that she would have to beg her to let her move out.'

Ava nodded, "Well, yes, it may take a month to move back."

"Well, when do you have to move out?" Lily continued to smile.

"I'm leaving tomorrow." Ava's tone was a little lost.

"OK, No problem. Your father and I haven't been alone for a long time." Lily joked, she was relaxed.

Ava was speechless. 'Is this really her mother? Was her mother so tired of her that she was actually looking forward that Ava was leaving soon?' Ava couldn't believe it.

Compared to Lily, James who doted on his daughter was a little hesitant. However, he knew Ava's career was important and he would not stop her from doing something she wanted to do.

Looking at Ava's shocked expression James said laughing "Silly girl, your mother is joking with you. In those years when you went to study in England, your mother was whispering in my ear every day, saying how much she missed you and when will you come back..." James was surprised seeing his wife so coquettish, it was funny.

Of course, Ava knew her mother was joking still felt a little hurt.

"My silly daughter, you should pay attention to your rest, you know? I know you work really hard, but you also need to take good care of yourself, eat on time, have time to go home and sleep well, come back to have dinner with us every weekend, OK?" Lily's eyes show so much love. Ava got a little emotional.

"Sure mom." Ava nodded her head slightly, her eyes were a little red. She didn't want to leave but what could she do?

The next day.

The sun slowly rose from the horizon, and it was a new day. The chosen day, when Ava would be moving in with Oliver! Ava just woke up and was still in bed, when she heard the doorbell, Ava jumped out of her bed and ran barefoot to open the door, she was afraid her parents would wake up but when she opened the door she was stunned.

Oliver actually came personally to pick her up!

Crap! "What are you doing here?" Ava said incoherently. She didn't know if she was excited or distressed to see Oliver in the early morning at her parent's door.

"I am here to pick you up." Oliver smiled and glanced at Ava strangely. 'How excited was this woman that she came here running barefoot?' he thought to himself.

"Didn't you say you will send someone to pick me up?" Ava said as she turned to look inside the house for fear that her parents will come out.

"What are you doing? This is your house, why are you acting like a thief?" Oliver narrowed his eyes and he smiled teasingly.

"I am not! Ava said flustered", "You wait here please" Ava closed the door on his face.

Leaving Oliver to bite his teeth behind the door, he said angrily, "Dead girl."

There was a sound of rushed walking inside the house. Ava opened the door again and threw two huge suitcases at Oliver and with a hypocritical smile, she said, "Will it be too difficult for CEO Knight to carry them to his car?"

Oliver looked at the suitcase and leaned toward the door and said jokingly: "Do you know how difficult it is? Why don't you invite me in for a cup of coffee and I will tell you?"

"Well I would but our coffee machine is broken and I am sure CEO Knight wouldn't like the handmade coffee that I make." Ava smiled sweetly and refused him. 'God! Why doesn't he leave? Ava was really afraid that her parents will see Oliver and her lies will be busted.'

"Want to get rid of me?" Oliver's eyes narrowed cunningly and then stretched out his long finger pointed to his left cheek.

Ava instantly understood what he wanted, Ava took a deep breath in order to send him away she stood on her tiptoe and kissed Oliver quickly on his left cheek. It was the first time that she kissed Oliver proactively. The faint masculine breath lingered in Ava's nose. She blushed and lowered her head: "OK, now go."

"Well, after work come straight to 520 Haibin Road." Oliver dragged the two luggage, waved, and left.

Before he took a few steps, Uncle Joe took over the luggage from Oliver. He coughed and said, "Mr. Knight seems to be very happy this morning." Uncle Joe has been with Oliver for many years, naturally, he knew the flirtatious character of his master.

Unexpectedly, Oliver's face showed a pure boyish smile. He licked his lips and said, "No."

"CEO Knight, it's not your style to deny it." Uncle Joe added in mockery.

"If you are so free go back and copy the Three Character Classic ten times," Oliver strode toward his car and said happily.

Uncle Joe looked at him helplessly. Of course, he wouldn't pick up the conversation again, some things are better to be left alone.
