Ava stood there in shock then she asked him slowly, "You want me to drive your precious car?"
"Yes?" Oliver looked at her impatiently.
"But I..." Ava hesitated and stood there looking at the keys in her hand.
"But what? Are you afraid that you will hit my car?" Oliver seemed to understand why she was hesitating so much.
Ava nodded with a dull expression.
"Don't worry. Even if you hit it, it's my car. You won't get in trouble." Oliver gave her a sidelong glance and thought why was she so scared to drive his car, even if she hit it and damage the car, it's just a car he would buy another one he could effort hundreds of cars like that.
"Alright." Ava still had a little hesitation but she got into the car and thought he was right it's his car if she somehow managed to damage it he could afford the repair, at that thought, she felt a little relieved.
"So, where to?" Ava started the car with a smile, showing her neat white teeth.
"Where ever you want." There was a smile on Oliver's handsome face and he said in a lazy tone.
"OK." Ava stepped on the accelerator and drove the car on the road.
The night scene of the city was very beautiful. Oliver looked at the neon lights flashing outside the window but somehow his heart felt a little heavy as if this happiness was all just a dream and at any moment he will wake up and see that he was as lonely and empty as before.
Oliver and Ava were living together but before Ava moved in she proposed three rules. First, they were not allowed to tell anyone about their agreement. Second, they will only live for one month with each other, and third, after one month, they will have no further relation with each other ever again.
At that time Oliver was confident that he would make her fall in love with him in a month so he didn't really care about her conditions but now everything has changed and counting the days, there was only half a month left. At that thought, Oliver's good-looking brows and eyes wrinkled unconsciously. Then he looked at Ava from the side. His instinct told him that she would leave after this month. But he can't let that happen, he had to do something to change her mind.
Ava slowly stepped on the brake when the traffic light turned red, she suddenly had a feeling that someone was watching her, she abruptly turned her head and saw Oliver was looking at her from the passenger seat. She blinked and asked, "Why are you staring at me like that?"
"Where are you taking me?" Oliver asked avoiding her question. He would never tell her what was on his calculative mind.
"You'll see?" Ava answered him. Even though she had a feeling that's not what Oliver was thinking she didn't press it.
"What do you mean?" Oliver's tone was full of doubt.
"You can rest assure that I will not take you somewhere that's not up to your standard," Ava said with a bright smile.
Ava started to drive again and Oliver looked away from her and his eyes gaze into the distance.
Ava didn't think much about Oliver. They had only half a month left and her motto for the rest of the month would be to not find any trouble with Oliver and live peacefully and happily. She wanted to get apart on good terms with Oliver.
Warm hotpot city.
This was an old Hotpot shop, they were very famous in the city for their most authentic flavor and was selling hotpot for almost 20 years. There were a lot of shops opened and closed in these years however this shop was still blooming in business. They used to have a shop downtown but recently they have relocated. They didn't change their interior much in fact they still kept the old interior theme. They had seat arrangement for 1000 people and the atmosphere was also very cozy.
"You brought me to have hotpot in summer?" Oliver asked with despair, he shouldn't have let her decide where to eat. What's wrong with this stupid woman, who eats hotpot in summer?
"Yes, the hotpot here is delicious and I haven't had a chance to come here since I got back," Ava murmured more to herself than Oliver. Her face looked like a child who was just about to have a delicious candy.
Oliver felt helpless. "Women, you really have bad taste," Oliver said in a frivolous tone and looked at her sideways.
"If you think so low of me then why did you asked me to chose?" Ava said in a displeased tone.
Oliver was stunned for a second, why does she take everything so personally he never said that. Oliver looked at her with a playful smile, came close to her, and whispered in Ava's ear: "I said that your taste is not good, I never said that you are not good, that's what you just said, Do you think you are very low?"
Oliver's enchanting voice was like a devil casting spell. Ava didn't know what to say, sure enough, she was not his match. He will always play with the words and put them back on her. She stared at him for a while then holding her grudges deep inside her heart she said "Let's go, shall we?"
Looking at Ava's irritated face he felt very amused. He got out of the car with a happy face. Ava was a bit annoyed but after entering the hotpot city, her face lit up, and unconsciously a smile showed up on her beautiful face.
Holding Oliver's arm Ava asked with a smile, "Shall we eat in or take out?"
"Let's do take out I hate the crowded place." Oliver looked around, the place was packed with people, he subconsciously held Ava closely to his side almost hugging her.
"Oh, OK." Ava felt a little nervous at Oliver's action.
She didn't mind being close to him when they were at home but she was not comfortable outside. Especially when she was with a man like Oliver. He was too eye-catching even when he was wearing casual clothes he would still give away an elegant and exquisite aura, people around him were bound to notice him.
They sat down on a table close to the door and the waiter took their order. It didn't take very long to pack their take-out boxes so they quickly left the place with their food.
