"If you hate it then don't look at it," Ava said coldly. She was feeling suffocating.
"Ava, will you please stop crying?" Oliver moved from her body and said in a pleading tone, a trace of heartache flashed in his eyes.
Ava opened her blurred eyes, tears were still lingering in the corner of her eyes. He compromised? She looked at him surprised, the pain was clear in his dark eyes. However, she still kept quiet.
Seeing Ava was still silent, Oliver hugged her anxiously. Because of a silly kiss, the woman wanted to break up with him. How could he not feel furious but forgot that like him Ava also couldn't stand lies and cheating.
"Ava, I swear, I really didn't cheat on you. Nothing happened between me and Kiara." Oliver looked her in the eye and said sincerely. But he could still see the uncertainty in Ava's beautiful eyes.
Ava was quiet for a while. Apart from the lipstick mark, she didn't have any proof of whether Oliver slept with Kiara or not and she didn't see anything with her own eyes. Love was all about trusting each other and she knew that she loved him very much and looking at Oliver's sincere eyes Ava wanted to believe him.
"OK, I believe you, but you have to promise me this will never happen in the future. If it does then you will have to let me go." Ava gave him a fair warning.
"Never, I swear." Oliver stretched out his long finger and made a serious oath.
Looking at Oliver's serious face Ava couldn't help but smile. She was angry today and really wanted to break up the moment she found the mark on his shirt but she couldn't really imagine how she would live without him If Oliver had agreed to break up with her. Fortunately, Oliver didn't agree.
Seeing Ava was smiling Oliver leaned forward and kissed her softly, she also returned the kiss. Within a second the soft kiss become a passionate one, Oliver's body started to react to it and things went further. People say after a fight the makeup sex was the best medicine for any lingering bitterness. About two hours later both of them were panting and lying satisfied on the bed when Ava whispered softly in Oliver's ear in her soft and pleasant voice, "Oliver!"
Oliver who just made love to her thoroughly looked at the women beside him affectionately, he loved it whenever Ava called him like that. Her soft voice seems to have a special magical power that pulls him closer to her.
"What, little fool?" Oliver asked with a doting smile.
"I'm hungry..." Ava said with an innocent wink.
Oliver smiled helplessly, "let's go and have dinner."
Ava got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to clean up Oliver also followed her behind.
Oliver turn on the shower and adjusted the hot water then pulled Ava under the shower. They cleaned up together and Oliver helped her dry her body with a towel. They were standing in front of the mirror, Ava looked at Oliver's action from the mirror and couldn't help but smile.
When Oliver saw her smiling face, his own smile couldn't be stopped and a carefree and beautiful smile spread on his handsome face.
After they were done, Oliver and Ava came downstairs hand in hand and saw Erika was sitting in the living room and flipping through a magazine. They both were surprised to see Erika there. Oliver was good at hiding his emotions so he looked very calm but Ava was different her emotion would be clear on her face. They greeted Erika with a smile.
"Rika." Ava's eyes were still slightly red and swollen, but her mood has recovered.
"Brother, sister-in-law." Erika already regarded Ava as her sister-in-law so she decided to call her that.
Erika looked at Ava carefully and saw her eyes were red and swollen and she instantly understood that she had cried. Erika's sharp eyes fell on Oliver involuntarily as she ran to Ava's side and asked Oliver putting her hands on her hips, "Brother, did you made my sister-in-law cry?"
"How dare I make her cry?" Oliver frowned and said bitterly. Was she his sister or Ava's?
"Really? Av's, tell me, did he make you cry?" Erika asked worriedly.
Oliver shook his head and sighed: "You are such a pain in the ass. If I knew you would be like this, I would have strangled you in the toilet when I was a child."
"What?" Erika grumbled discontentedly.
"I'm your brother, we grew up together and here you are turning against me for her." Oliver's lips lifted slightly. He was actually teasing Erika, seeing that she liked Ava so much he felt good in his heart.
"Well, I side with justice. I'm the kind of person who would help others regardless they were relatives or not!" Erika raised her chin slightly and said proudly.
"Fine," Oliver replied and walked toward the dining table holding Ava's waist.
The food was smelling so good that Ava's empty stomach started to churn the moment she smelled it. She was very hungry after the workout they have done in the bedroom a while ago. Now looking at the table full of delicious food Ava couldn't help but swallowing hard.
Oliver looked at Ava and shook his head but he thought she was really lovely. Normally the women around him would only eat salad and a little portion of food to keep themselves fit, however, Oliver felt Ava was not like that. Whenever she was hungry she would just devour her food without even caring about her surroundings or image. Although he always showed a disdainful face when Ava do that but in his heart, he loved that Ava was not like the other women and enjoyed her food passionately.
Erika didn't treat herself as an outsider at all. She sat down and started to eat like she was at home. Before coming here she had dinner with Samuel outside to thank him for helping her the other day, but in order to maintain her image, she didn't eat much. Besides they had dinner early so she was starving at this moment.
"Cousin, I need your help with something," Erika said with a smile as she stirred the food on her plate.
"What do you need?" Oliver looked at Erika and asked seriously.
"Help me investigate someone for me." Sam's face flashed in Erika's mind when she said that and a sweet smile appeared on her face.
Seeing the shy smile, Oliver and Ava both understood that she was interested in someone.
Ava put a sweet and sour sparerib into Erika's plate and said with a smile, "Rika, did you meet someone?"
Erika nodded her head as her face turned red, she said with a smile, "Well, yes and I want to know more about him."
"Well after dinner, come to my study and give me the details." Oliver's expression was relaxed and playful.
Looking at Erika's red face Oliver thought she must like the person very much because he had never seen her blush like that at the mention of someone before. However, if Erika really was interested in another man then Oliver will mourn for his good brother. Arvin and Erika, it's probably true that they were not meant to be together.
