Declaring War

Oliver was furious, how dare Samuel says that he didn't know his own women? Oliver wanted to beat him for saying all these things but he was a smart man he knew well that Sam was just trying to provoke him. Oliver quickly composed himself and a cunning smile flashed on his handsome face.

"You are right, you know how she was when she was a child, I don't but Mr. Samuel Evan, do you know there's a mole on her right asscheek? Do you know there is a long scar on her left chest? Do you know how alluring she looks on her black lacey short nighty?" Oliver said in a calm voice as a satisfied smile showed up seeing Sam's dark face.

Sam's face looked like a color palette at that time in anger, envy, and pain as he listened to another man talking about some private remarks of the women he loved, he could not speak a word for a while.

The room suddenly became deathly quiet, after a while Sam said breathing heavily, "Are you feeling proud talking about these personal things about her?"

"No, I am just proving a point here. You see everyone has a past, there is nothing to show off about the past. What matters most is the present and the future." Oliver said with a calm and confident smile.

Sam had already lost the battle with Oliver when it comes to status, money, and family background, the only things he thought he had an upper hand on was his and Ava's years of relationship but today Oliver burst his bubbles and showed him that he was just her past nothing else. Sam's eyes looked at Oliver like he was very sure that he and Ava would definitely break up one day.

"Of course I will, compared with tomorrow, today's me will be her past, but she will always be in my present, so you don't have to worry about it." Oliver opened his long legs and looked at the Patek Philippe watch on his wrist.

"You can try," Oliver said with an indifferent smile. He knew someone like Samuel was not qualified to declare war with him so he just brushed it off like nothing.

Oliver's indifferent and arrogant attitude made Sam's blood boil he quickly stood up and left hastily. He heard behind Oliver's sarcastic laugh as he closed the door, he rushed toward the elevator. Inside the elevator, he looked at himself from the mirror and saw a sinister man looking back at him. The always warm and sunny Sam turned into a different kind of man at that moment. He quickly took out his phone from his pocket and sent a WeChat message to Erika.

Sam: Is the invitation to the water park tomorrow still open? I would like to join you.

Erika saw Sam's massage and she was thrilled. She instantly replied back.

Erika: That's great, can't wait to see you tomorrow.

Sam stared at Erika's message and got a little flustered. He felt sorry for Erika because he was just going to use her to get to Ava but he had no other choice, he could not lose to Oliver Knight. Ava was confused at her reaction, "What's wrong Mia? Why do you look so pale?"

"It's nothing, you just scared me." Mia pretended to be scared as she pated her chest to hide her panic.

Ava smiled and shook her head, "Mia, come to my office and help me to remove the gauze from my hand please."

Mia quickly got up and got all the medical tools required to remove the gauze and followed Ava into her office. She cut the first layer and slowly untie the layers of gauze step by step, Ava stared at the process.

Two days ago, god knows from where Oliver brought a bottle of mysterious potion for her and asked her to spray it on her wound twice, he said it will remove her scars. Of course, Ava didn't believe him, she was a doctor and she had never heard of such kind of medicine that could remove scares like that but she didn't want to make him upset or sad by saying anything. She actually found it sweet that Oliver was so concerned about her scars and took the effort to find a medicine for her scars, even though she didn't care at all. So she decided to use it to only make him happy.
