On his knees

Oliver's eyes became deep, and his long fingers held the wine glass leisurely. 'OK Ava, so you came to the bar to meet your ex-boyfriend! Looks like you haven't learned your lesson yet.' He decided to intervene.

"Wife, are you alright, did he hurt you?" Oliver hurriedly walked past and held Ava in his arms, looking affectionately at Ava's stunned eyes.

Ava blinked, unable to answer in surprise. Why was he here?

"What are you doing here?" Finally, she found her voice and asked awkwardly.

"I was worried about you. You said you were going to see the scum today. How could I let you come alone?" Oliver held Ava in his arms dominatingly. His flirtatious tone was like declaring war on Jacob and establishing his dominance.

Ava was his, no one could be disrespectful to her! Of course, except for him, he thought to himself.

Jacob was confused. What the hell, who was this man suddenly came out of nowhere and claimed Ava to be his wife. What's more annoying was, Ava didn't even refuse and let him hold her in his arms.

"Ava, who is he? Do you know him?" Jacob asked angrily.

"She's my wife" Oliver gave Jacob a cold snort, which seemed to be a mockery.

Jacob was a little flustered by his domineering appearance. "No way. Ava is my girlfriend. When did she become your wife?" Jacob was so angry that he was about to spit blood. Why Ava was quiet?

Ava was amazed thinking Oliver's lying skill was quite good, which made Jacob half dead already. Seeing his embarrassed appearance, Ava was a little happy.

"We got married about a week ago, didn't we, honey?" Oliver said, stretching out his hand and gently stroking Ava's hair. His gentle and attentive appearance was very realistic.

Ava knew that Oliver was helping her, she felt very grateful. Following Oliver's lead Ava also replied confidently, "Yes, we did."

"Honey, you said you were going to meet your ex-boyfriend today. I was not really comfortable with that thought, what if he harm you again." Oliver said with a soft voice, he looked so serious that for a moment even Ava felt like this was all real.

"You think I am a fool!" Jacob sobered up hearing them. He was so angry that he was about to pounce on Oliver.

However, Oliver punched him twice as fast and Jacob flew out into a group.

Ava watched nervously and gently pulled his sleeve, "Come on, let's go."

Oliver was not satisfied yet. He stared at Ava and said, "You stupid woman, you think that's enough?"

Looking at his fierce and terrible eyes, Ava did not dare to say anything else, she stood there quietly. Jacob didn't know who Oliver was, but she did. Oliver was definitely a more insidious and despicable character than Jacob.

Oliver was very satisfied with Ava's obedient attitude. He knew that this woman was a wild horse that was difficult to tame. Otherwise, she would have already agreed to be with him.

"Son of a bitch, you dare to punch me. Nobody can leave tonight!" Jacob was completely enraged by Oliver. He swung his sleeve and unbuttoned the collar of his shirt, he felt very humiliated by getting beaten up like that.

"Come on, you filthy bastard." Oliver had a wicked smile on his lips. At the age of 12, he was the national boxing champion. Who dared to be his opponent?

"I'll kill you!" Jacob spat a mouthful of blood. His scarlet eyes looked hideous. He rushed toward Oliver with all his strength. Oliver however turned around quickly and made Jacob jump into the air. But then, it was Oliver's turn to play. He quickly caught Jacob and put his hands behind his back Jacob couldn't move at all.

"You want to play with me, you're still young." Oliver kicked Jacob without changing his face. Jacob fell to his knees and the sound of his knees hitting the floor was very clear.

Oliver wanted to kick Jacob again but Ava rushed forward and stopped him. After all, he was knelt down on the ground. Ava hated him, but she still felt pity for him. Oliver didn't speak. He just looked at Ava coldly. The man was very angry, but he finally stopped.

"I'll spare you tonight, but you can't live tomorrow." Oliver raised his eyes coldly and turned to Ava.

"Why?" Ava was shocked by his words and asked coldly.

"What did you say?" Oliver's full lips moved gently.

Ava was confused. She couldn't guess what Oliver was thinking but she had a feeling that Jacob's life will be in danger.

"Let's go," Oliver said with a cold face as if he was issuing an order.

Ava took her backpack quickly and did not dare to stay any longer. Looking around, she saw many people at the bar, but their eyes were full of fear. They must know who Oliver was! So many people watched the battle, but no one dared to help. Jacob was really pitiful.

Lamborghini.

"What? Still, thinking about your old lover? Was it painful to watch him get beaten?" Oliver asked with a sneer.

"No! I do hate him for what he did but I still pity him." Ava said with a sweet voice.

"You know what, I'm a little jealous of him." Oliver stared out of the window, his deep eyes suddenly darken.

He was telling the truth. Tonight's action confirmed his doubts, Ava really cared about Jacob. In fact, he had been trying to get Jacob in trouble for a while. He wanted to see what trick he would play. Oliver didn't expect Ava would actually care about him so much that she would fall for his tricks again, Oliver couldn't bear it.

"What! Are you kidding me, why would you be jealous of him, he should be the one to be jealous of you?" Ava looked at him unbelievably. If Jacob knew who Oliver was, he would definitely regret his action tonight!

"I envy that he knew you before I did." Oliver's handsome face was masked in a haze, his words were sincere.

What does he mean? It was really hard for her to understand what he was thinking. Sometimes he gave a vibe that he hated her and was just toying with her and sometimes it felt like he really cared about her. It's very confusing.

"Thank you for tonight." Ava looked at Oliver said sincerely. When their eyes met, Ava felt her heart just missed a beat.

But Oliver's face was expressionless like he could not feel anything, he even forgot that a long time ago he used to be a very optimistic and happy person.

All the way to Ava's apartment they didn't talk. Ava was already embarrassed about the incident at the bar, she didn't want to bore him so she kept quiet. It was already very late. Oliver dropped Ava in front of her apartment building and left.
