The CEO is late

Oliver didn't let go of Ava until he heard the sound of the fireworks. The night sky suddenly became all bright with different colors. For more than 10 minutes the sky kept changing colors then it stopped and within a few seconds, another firework brightened the sky, however, this time it painted the sky with the name 'Ava Green'.

Ava was looking at the firework with fascinating eyes. She always loved to see fireworks so seeing them, a bright smile automatically showed up on her face. But the moment she saw her name in the sky her eyes widen and the next second another line showed up below her name, 'I love you.' Ava stared at the sky with her mouth and eyes wide open and her heart filled with warmth. Her eyes turned red as she turned to look at the man behind her.

"I love you, Av's." Oliver looked at Ava with all the love in his eyes as he confessed his love to her.

The whole place was still bustling with the firework noise but Ava seems to only hear the word came out of Oliver's mouth, her heart was full of joy.

"I love you, too Oliver." Ava threw herself in Oliver's arm.

Oliver also held her tightly in his arm the wind blew past them, he suddenly felt Ava's fingers were cold he took her hands and put them inside his shirt to keep them warm. At night the wind on the river becomes a little strong so he was worried Ava will catch a cold. This kind of concern he never felt for anyone before, maybe it was because of love, he noticed every little thing about her.

Ava also pressed her body close to Oliver and held his waist from inside his windbreaker. She was enjoying the warmth of his body very much. She didn't realize how cold her hands were until she felt Oliver's warm skin but then she thought he might be getting cold because of her cold hand so she tried to pull back her hands, however, Oliver held her more tightly.

"What are you doing? Don't move, your hands are freezing!"

"But, aren't you cold?"

"No... I'm not cold but let's go inside I don't want you to catch a cold." Oliver felt Ava's hands were getting warm now so he pulled them out and walked to the cabin with her.

"The wind is so strong outside how can you not feel cold, it's autumn night and you are just wearing a thin shirt," Ava asked confused.

"Do you want to see how hot I am feeling right now?" Oliver closed the cabin door and locked it then he pressed Ava on the door as his magnetic and deep voice sounded in Ava's ear.

Ava's heartbeat picked up and her breathing started to get heavy as she felt electricity pass through her whole body. Ava looked at Oliver nervously and said shyly, "No, I don't."

"You women always say things you don't mean, especially you." Oliver came closer to Ava and run his nose on her jaw and neck then he blew on her neck gently and placed soft kisses there. Ava instantly shuddered under his soft touch.

Oliver knew Ava was very shy when it comes to sex or foreplay so even though she says she doesn't want it he knew she wants it more than him at this moment. Her body reactions were more genuine than her mouth. Besides some things don't need to be spoken to carry on.

That night was another beautiful night when their passion, filled the whole cabin as they sank into each other deeper and deeper.

The whole night the boat kept sailing on the river and the captain didn't pull over until the sky was almost red.

The next morning.

It was a rare Sunday when Oliver had to attend an internal meeting at the company. It was already 10 O'clock and all the senior management were waiting for Oliver in the conference room at Knight International, for almost two hours, but there was no sign of Oliver. They all were surprised because Oliver was known for being very punctual and would never be late for any meeting, so what happened today, why was there CEO late to attend this important meeting?

As for Oliver, he was still in bed with Ava in his arm. Oliver was so excited last night, the whole night he took Ava again and again. In fact, at dawn, they drove back to his villa and when Ava was about to fall asleep on their bed he woke her up and made love to her again, as a result, they both were so exhausted that they were still in bed sleeping.

Uncle Joe was sitting in the meeting room and also waiting for Oliver. Although he was a senior at the company and capable of holding this meeting but he didn't get any instruction from Oliver to do that and neither he received any message saying Oliver wouldn't attend the meeting therefore he had no other choice but to wait. This meeting was very important, it was regarding the whole year's operation of the company and setting next year's targets, therefore Oliver had to hold it himself.

Mr. Wang of the investment banking department looked at his watch and couldn't help but ask, "Uncle Joe, why hasn't Mr. Knight here yet? Are we going to have this meeting today?"

"Yes, wait for a little longer, CEO Knight will be here soon." Uncle Joe said indifferently but he also had no idea where Oliver was. However, he was sure Oliver would not forget about the meeting so there must be a reason for him not to show up yet.

Hearing Uncle Joe the meeting room went silent again. Oliver gives a lot of facilities to the senior management of the company, therefore even if it was Sunday no one dared to complain. They also knew they wouldn't get such good treatment anywhere else. Therefore, all they could do was wait for their CEO.

However, they were human how long they could sit there quietly so they started to talk among themselves.

"Did you see the fireworks last night?" The general manager Shen of the marketing department asked. Last night, he went to bed early, but his wife woke him up and showed him the fireworks and then fought with him saying how unromantic he was. He really felt helpless.

"Yes, Mr. Knight did it for Miss Green." Said the manager of the finance office.

Actually the whole Knight international knew that the fireworks last night were done by Oliver, it was the sensational news in the whole city at this moment.

"Our CEO has really changed." Uncle Joe also shook his head and exclaimed. He has been with Oliver for years but even he was witnessing this side of him for the first time.

They all kept talking about Oliver and some other matters to pass the time and continued to wait for Oliver.
