Plan for the Land

In the early morning, the next day, Arvin came to Oliver's bedroom and knocked on the door lightly. Ava was still in deep sleep but Oliver was a light sleeper so as soon as Arvin knocked on the door he opened his eyes.

Arvin knocked again and this time he called out in a small voice, "Oliver, are you awake?"

Oliver reluctantly let go of the woman in his arm and got out of bed to see why Arvin was calling him in the early morning. Oliver opened and door and saw Arvin was dressed in black ADI sportswear and leaning on the door frame.

"Hey, good morning!" Arvin said, taking a peek inside.

"What do you want? Why are you awake so early in the morning?" Oliver glared at Arvin and blocked his view with his body.

"It's nothing. I'm feeling a bit low and I can't sleep. Please accompany me for a run." Arvin said with a smile but his eyes looked a bit lost.

Oliver thought for a second then said coldly, "Fine, go downstairs, I'll change and come down in a minute." Saying that he didn't wait for Arvin's response, he just closed the door on his face.

Oliver picked up a set of sportswear from his closet and put it on. After getting ready he came to the bedside and looked at Ava, she was still sleeping soundly so he didn't want to disturb her. He took a paper and pen from the bedside table, and left a note for her then went downstairs.

Arvin and Oliver started to run toward the river. It was still very early not even six o'clock, so the sun hasn't risen yet. The sky was clear and the morning breeze felt refreshing. Oliver looked at the sky and his mood got better seeing the beautiful blue sky.

Arvin and Oliver were running at the same pace. "Oliver, do you remember we used to run like this every morning when we were in high school?" Arvin suddenly said recalling the high school times and a smile showed up on his handsome face.

"Of course." Oliver also smiled and thought how could he forget those unforgettable times. Those were some of the best and innocent times of his life.

Back in high school, the rules and regulations were followed very strictly. No one could go out of the school without the permission of the teachers, but Oliver and Arvin would always find a way to break the rules and go out whenever they wanted. They would race every morning to reach the school. They never really lived in the school dorm, instead, they lived in a nearby apartment so many students were very envious of them because they could come and go as they pleased and the teachers wouldn't even punish them. No one knew it was because of their family background they had so many privileges.

"I guess, it's been years since we haven't run like this in the morning." Arvin smiled.

"The school anniversary is in a few days, are you going to attend?" Oliver asked as he ran forward, breathing evenly.

"Sure, I have nothing to do anyway. Oliver, I am going to depend on you for food and clothes. You'll have to raise me." Arvin said jokingly in a pitiful tone.

Oliver glanced at him and shook his head at Arvin's playfulness, then said, "No problem, come to Knight international."

"Aren't you afraid that I will steal your company secrets?" Arvin said raising one of his eyebrows with a mischievous smile.

"No. I know what kind of person you are. Besides, I am planning to start working on that land early next year, so we can work on that" Oliver said with a faint smile. He wanted to start the work on the land as early as possible but he got caught up with a few matters recently which delayed the progress. Now he wanted to focus on the land and start the work ahead of time.

"Have you decided yet, what you wanted to do with the land?" Arvin slowed down a little as he asked.

Oliver also slowed down to catch up with him. "I want to open the largest indoor playground with a shopping mall in that piece of land." Oliver knew this vision would be very profitable.

"That's actually a great idea. Nowadays, people spend a lot of time in the shopping malls and if they could have a playground next to it, it will undoubtedly attract more people and will become a popular one. Undoubtedly a profitable plan."

"I'm going gift the mall to Ava as a dowry when I marry her."

Oliver's words were like a thunderbolt hitting Arvin's head. He stopped in his track and stared at Oliver horrified. "Oliver Are you crazy? That piece of land is worth billions in the market and after you complete the project it will be worth even more. How can you give it to her just like that?"

"What's wrong with that? I just don't want her to work in the hospital after we get married. "

"But do you think she can handle such a big responsibility? After all, she doesn't have any experience in the business."

"Absolutely! Arvin, I know what I am doing. Ava is very smart and capable, I have no doubt that she will be able to handle it well. If she was not so capable, do you think I would be so crazily in love with her?"

Arvin shook his head helplessly, shopping malls are like battlefields. He was not sure a doctor could handle it, but what could he do. If Oliver really thinks Ava could handle it, then he should probably have some faith in Oliver's vision. Besides, Oliver was there if she had any problem, he could guide her and sort things out when any complication arises. At that thought, Arvin felt at ease.
