Two familiar people

It was Sunday, the sun was high in the sky outside. In a blink of an eye, November was here, and the weather was getting colder every day.

Ava was standing in her walking closet looking at the vast winter collection in front of her. Oliver asked someone to replace the summer clothes with a new winter collection. Every time Ava entered her closet she would feel like she entered a cloth shop, all the new and designer limited edition dresses were neatly hung on the hanger there. So many clothes, she was confused about what to wear, she wanted to try them all but the collection was huge it will probably take a week to try them all.

Ava took out an off-white sweater dress from the hanger, she realized she has seen it in a fashion magazine, it cost more than 20000 dollars. Ava stared at the dress in her hand for a long time thinking, since she moved in here she has been wearing only limited edition clothes and using international branded cosmetics. Although Ava's family was also rich, but some of these clothes even her family couldn't afford, she felt uncomfortable wearing such expensive clothes.

"Av's, what are you doing? Why aren't you ready yet?" Oliver walked inside the closet wearing a cream white sweater with gray slacks. The combination gave his elegant and cold personality a boost making him even more handsome.

"There are so many clothes. I don't know what to wear." AVa said innocently.

"The one you are holding is good why don't you put it on?" Oliver said with a soft smile.

"OK, then you go out, I'll change."

"Why do I have to go out? Haven't I seen you before? In fact, I think I should help you put on your dress." Oliver came closer and said with a playful smile.

"You are such a pervert," Ava said in a coquettish tone.

Oliver held Ava in his arm and said with a smile, "What pervert? You are my girlfriend, soon going to be my wife and the mother of my child then what's wrong with me changing your clothes for you?"

Ava didn't know how to refute that, she hid her face in Oliver's chest feeling shy but she felt comfortable in his arm. She said softly, "Nothing's wrong."

"Then let me dress you up." Oliver quickly unbuttoned Ava's pajama shirt with his big hands.

Although Ava was not very comfortable with Oliver dressing her up, but she didn't stop him. Oliver slowly changed Ava's clothes and when they were done they came down hand in hand. Out of the door, a cold wind blew past them and Ava shivered in Oliver's arms. Oliver also subconsciously hugged Ava tightly as they walked toward the car.

As it was Oliver and Ava's day off they decided to go on a date like a normal couple. So first they went to a nice restaurant and had lunch together then Ava suggested watching a movie so they went to the Cinema. Luckily a Hollywood blockbuster was screening today so Oliver went to buy tickets for that.

Outside the theatre, the place was crowded with people. Some of them were waiting in the queue and some were chatting there and waiting for the movie to start. Ava looked around and suddenly saw two familiar figures together. She narrowed her eyes thinking she must have seen wrong but no, she was right, it was Sarah and Ben. Sarah was holding popcorn in her hand and Ben was holding two cokes. They were talking and laughing happily.

Oliver came back with the tickets and saw the worried look on Ava's face, he followed her line of sight and saw Sarah and Ben. Oliver immediately understood what was on her mind. He gently nudged Ava and said, "Let go and get some popcorn."

Ben and Sarah were about to enter the movie theatre when they saw Ava and Oliver coming their way, they both were very surprised.

"Sister...Brother-in-law." Sarah started to stammer in panic. Although she just came to watch a movie with Ben which was perfectly normal but for some reason, she felt like she had done something wrong. So she was feeling very uncomfortable.

"Brother Oliver, Sister Ava." Ben smiled politely and said gracefully.

"Ben brought a female friend to a movie!" Oliver joked.

"Yes," Ben replied lightly. He knew the woman next to Oliver was Sarah's Cousin. So he thought twice before answering Oliver.

"Sarah, I need to use the restroom, accompany me," Ava said in a cold voice, looking at Sarah without any expression.

Sarah started to panic even more now, she came out with a male friend alone to watch a movie, she knew how it looked like. Ava was going to scold her to death. However, she silently followed her.

Ava led Sarah to an empty corner then asked, "Sarah, what are you doing here with Ben? Are you two dating or something?" Ava was worried, because Sarah was in her final year now, which was the most important year for her if she got distracted by love, she will lose her focus on her studies.

Sarah quickly shook her head and said, "Sister, I know how it looks like but I promise Ben and I are just good friends. Nothing is going on between us."

"Sarah, don't get me wrong it's not like I am against you dating someone or fall in love with someone but you know this is your final year. All your focus should be on your studies right now. After the college entrance exam, you can date whoever you want. You understand!" Ava reached out and patted Sarah's head lightly,

"Don't worry, sister. I know my place well. I will never do that." Sarah said with a bright smile but in her heart, she was a little lost.

She didn't want to come out with Ben today but she just couldn't refuse him when he asked. Ben's family background was no longer a mystery in Beijing No.4 High School. He was born into a dignified Military family. So Sarah knew her family condition doesn't match with his. She should probably distance herself from Ben. There was no fate between them.
