Arvin's Plan

Oliver's Villa.

Arvin has been in the villa for the whole day lying on the sofa watching Korean dramas all day long. He didn't know from where the inspiration came from but an idea came to his mind. As soon as Ava came back with Oliver, he started to nag her to help him out.

"Ava please I desperately need your help. Just this once, please...please...please" Arvin said in a pleading tone which sounded more like he was going to cry if Ava didn't agree.

"Arvin, it's not that I don't want to help you but the hospital has some rules and regulations. We cannot just go in there and do what you are asking me to do. You can find a private hospital, spend some money and hire some actors." Ava said shaking her head. Ava still was not sure about Arvin's plan. Besides, last night when she talked to Erika, she seemed very confused about Arvin. So Ava was hesitating a little to agree to the plan.

"Well, the problem is if he had the money right now, he wouldn't have come to beg you like that," Oliver said from behind.

Ava looked at Arvin's sad face and felt really bad for him. One of the rich men in the city was standing in front of her and begging for her help. It was really pitiful that he left his home for his love and his love just broke his heart. Ava's heart softened and with a low growl, she said, "Have you really thought about this? What if Rika still didn't care?"

"Then I'll surely die," Arvin said with a pale face he was scared, even with the possibility.

"Fine, I'll help you out this time. When you want to do it?"

"Thank you, Ava, I owe you big time. Tonight. I want to get it done as soon as possible." Arvin got high-spirited when Ava agreed to him.

He needed to find out if Erika really didn't have any feelings for him. He didn't know what he will do if what she said was actually true and she has already moved on. But he had to try one last time, his reluctant heart still wants to believe that Erika loves him and she was just being stubborn because she was hurt.

"Yes, you do, and why all the men are so impatient?" Ava said shaking her head as she glanced at Oliver

Oliver looked at her with a straight face and asked, "What do you mean by all men? Arvin is impatient, I'm not."

Arvin looked at Oliver angrily but didn't say anything. He was too excited to bother about Oliver's sarcasm at this moment.

"Fine, let's go to the hospital." Ava stood up.

In order to find out what was on Erika's mind, whether she still cared about Arvin or not, he decided to fake his own death and see her reaction. So Ava will have to cooperate and make it look like Arvin was dying. Ava never did anything like that but to bring Arvin and Erika together she decided to help Arvin out. She called the dean to ask for his permission before they head toward the hospital.

It was late autumn, so the night wind was a bit cold. Oliver forced Ava to wear a down jacket afraid that she will catch a cold. Ava felt helpless, she said annoyed "Oliver, I'm probably the only one in this whole city who is wearing a down jacket in this weather."

"Well, why didn't you notice that you are the only woman who can sit in my car's passenger seat?" Oliver said with an expressionless face as he started the car. He was looking straight into the night.

Ava was speechless, she stared at Oliver without saying a single word. However, she had to admit what Oliver said was true. A charming man like Oliver could be surrounded by many women yet it was only her who could seat beside him. A proud smile showed up on Ava's face but she turned her head and looked outside so Oliver wouldn't see.

Arvin, who was seating at the back seat watched the love between Ava and Oliver silently. He was so nervous that he was sweating in this cold weather. He didn't know what was going to happen when Erika finds out he was dying but he couldn't think of any other way to find out her true mind. Erika would always hide her true mind from everyone and put on an indifferent face so it's really difficult to see through her.

Beijing Tiantan Hospital.

Ava rushed to the cardiology department and saw Mia was working on her station holding a thick book. Today she was on the night shift.

Mia looked at Ava surprised and asked worriedly, "Ava, why are you here at this hour? Is everything alright?"

"Yes, everything is fine but Mia I need your help with something," Ava said with a serious face and a hushed tone.

Looking at Ava's serious expression Mia frowned and asked with creased eyebrows, "Help with what?"

"It's nothing serious. We are going to do a small play in our OT." Ava said with a smile.

Mia nodded and stared at Ava dumbfounded. Play? What does she mean?

Ava explained everything to Mia and she looked at Arvin and Ava back and forth then asked, "How you are going to make it done quietly?"

"No one needs to know, it's nighttime anyway. We will treat it as a usual case." Ava said in a low tone.

Mia nodded in understanding and Ava led Arvin into the operating room. Arvin never went inside an OT before so he curiously looked around the room. He was a bit surprised to see such a big operating room.

"Wow, I had no idea the operating room could be this big at Beijing Tiantian hospital," Arvin said.

"Come on, change your clothes and lie down on the table." Ava showed Arvin an empty operating table.

Arvin did as Ava said, after changing he silently lay down on the operating table and looked at the light on the ceiling. All kind of emotion was making him a bit restless.

Ava changed into a green surgical suit and came with a huge makeup box in her hand. Arvin stayed lying there and Ava started to draw wound on his body with her makeup tools. Fortunately, she was good at makeup and could actually paint a lifelike wound. She used to do that every Halloween when she was in England so she didn't have any trouble creating an illusion when she painted the wounds on Arvin's chest, hands and face.
