The Wedding

On the other side, at Erika's house, the scene was completely different from Ava's house. Compared to Oliver's intellectual test, Arvin had to go through more physical tests.

As soon as he entered Erika's room, several of Erika's friends surrounded him and asked him to do pushups. In the first round, he did 50 pushups, which was easy, but in the second round, the number rose and became 100. Arvin quickly asked his best man to do the pushups on his behalf.

The bridesmaids started to laugh out loud as they counted loudly while the best men did their pushups. Arvin thought this was the end of it. Unexpectedly, a bridesmaid suddenly took out a bucket of ice from behind and asked them to melt it and drink the water in five minutes.

Arvin was helpless but he and his men had to complete the task so again, he put his best men at work. After a few more physical tasks, the bridesmaids were satisfied and finally let him go to see his bride.

Around 11:00 noon, 10 Hummers stopped in front of Erika's house and Arvin led Erika toward the car as they head toward the airport.

Oliver came directly to the airport, where eighteen private planes and 4 helicopters were waiting for them on the runway ready to fly off. Oliver and Arvin took their respective brides to the helicopters and their family and friends got into the private planes and soon they were all on the air toward the designated venue.

Suifeng resort.

The whole resort was booked by the Knight's for this high-profile wedding and it was heavily guarded by a large group of bodyguards. No media was allowed in the venue so the bodyguards were patrolling outside the resort and did let anyone come near without the invitation.

All the guests have already arrived long before Oliver and Arvin came. The helicopter landed steadily on a large open grassland. Oliver jumped out of the helicopter first, then helped Ava out, he took her in his arm and carried her toward the wedding stage area where they will get married. The whole pathway was decorated by fragrant lilies and orchids spreading the light fragrance in the air.

Oliver and Arvin both put their brides down before the cobble path starts, which led to the altar. They left their brides there and walked toward the altar and waited for their brides. There was light music playing.

James came and stood beside his daughter. Ava slowly started to walk down the altar holding James's arm, whereas Erika walked holding Mathew's arm, as the solemn and sacred wedding march played. They walk side by side and came on to the stage.

James handed Ava's hand to Oliver and looked at both of them, eyes full of affection then said in a heavy tone, "Ava, Oliver, today is your wedding day. I'm very happy that you two found happiness in each other. From today onward, I not only have a daughter but also have a son. I wish you two happiness for the rest of your life."

"Thank you, Dad, for entrusting Ava with me. I will take good care of her for the rest of my life. I will never let you down." Oliver took Ava's hand and said firmly.

The ceremony started and after the introduction the minister looked at Ava and asked, "Miss Ava Green, Do you take Mr. Oliver Knight to be your wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death apart you two?"

"I do!" Ava said with a bright smile.

"Mr. Oliver Knight, Do you take Miss Ava Green to be your wedded wife to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death apart you?"

"No!" Oliver said in a deep and clear voice as he looked at Ava.

Everyone present there was puzzled, they looked at each other and started to talk in a hushed tone not understanding what Oliver was doing.

Ava heard Oliver, she froze in place and stared at Oliver with a blank face, did he just said 'No'?

Oliver could see everyone was confused by his words, he suddenly laughed and said, "Even death can't separate us."

Everyone heard him and breathed in relief. They started to admire the couple, some even started to cry seeing their love.

Ava also let out the breath she was holding and glared at Oliver, in such a critical moment he dared to play. She was almost having a heart attack.

"The groom's love for the bride is very deep. Please exchange rings." The minister laughed and said.

Sarah and Oliver's best man gave the rings to Ava and Oliver and they exchanged the rings.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." The minister said with a smile.

Oliver immediately removed Ava's veil, took her in his arm, and kissed her domineeringly.

Ella sat beside Conner and saw the ceremony with a joyful heart. She was so happy that tears started to flow down her cheek. Finally, her son got over his past and started a new life with Ava, she was relieved.

Lilly was also very touched. She was happy that her daughter finally found her own happiness. Her all wish has been fulfilled and she had nothing to wish for anymore except Ava lived a happy life with her husband.

Liam was sitting at the guests with an indifferent face as he saw the woman he loved getting married to his brother. His heart was full of pain and jealousy.

Daniel and Ben were also there. When Oliver said 'No' during the vows his heart almost missed a beat in happiness thinking he was right about Oliver but now seeing them complete the ceremony together, although he was happy for Ava, but his heart felt like cut through a knife. His eyes were wet but he was smiling.

Sam was sitting in the corner of the back row as he was grieving. The woman he loved his whole life just became someone else's wife today. He has promised Ava that they will treat each other as brother and sister from now on, then why his heart was feeling numb with pain? He shouldn't have come here today. He knew Ava never loved him, but he still wanted to witness her happiness. Now he could let her go forever.
