He witnessed the accident

Unexpectedly he witnessed a terrible accident, a large truck ran straight into a taxi in the heavy rain and the taxi was hit so hard that it rolled on the street a few times completely smashing the car. The truck driver didn't stop instead he stepped on the accelerator and rushed out of there. It was so terrible that Liam sat in the car shaking in panic. He saw people come and surrounded the place but he was so scared that he couldn't even get out of the car to have a look. Liam was at the opposite side of the road and heard few people saying the taxi driver died on spot and there were two young girls in the car whose condition was very critical.

Liam kept trembling inside the car, he could smell blood even from the other side of the road, he felt sick to the stomach. After he calmed down a little he turned the car and got back home. At that time he didn't know it was Melody and Ava who was in the passenger's seat on that taxi. The police investigated the accident and found the empty truck a few miles away from the accident spot. The license plate was fake, and the driver has already run away. It was unknown whether it was an attempt to murder or just an unfortunate accident. They never found the driver so later because of lack of evidence, they declared the case as an accident and closed it.

Even at that point, Liam couldn't connect the dots. He was too shaken by witnessing the accident so he avoided watching any news related to it. In fact, it was not after a year he accidentally found out, he actually witnessed Melody's car accident, and it was all his father's doing, that was what he instructed his assistant to do that day. His assistant resigned from the job shortly after the accident on his father's instruction and that truck driver was killed by his father. He heard Oliver found a man who matched that driver's description and locked him away but he didn't know the driver who actually drove that truck was already dead.

Although Liam knew, in that accident, Melody and Ava both were innocent, and so was the taxi driver, they didn't deserve to die like that, but he never had the courage to open his mouth and admit it. He decided to keep his mouth shut until he died.

Liam always knew his father was very ambitious. In those years when Oliver took over, he used many senior employees to make things difficult for him at the company, however, Oliver had a strong ability and easily suppressed his father, otherwise Knight International would be in Michael's hand a long time ago.

Liam also knew it was his father who did the wrong thing, but he couldn't do anything about it. He could only watch him fall into the darkness every day. After the accident everything changed, Oliver became very cold and distant. Many times Liam wanted to tell him about his father's plan but he never could and over time that incident got buried deep inside his heart.

Liam was always jealous of Oliver's capabilities, he was excellent in everything, so his father used it and turned him completely against Oliver. Liam even didn't know when he started to hate Oliver to the extent to harm him. In fact, it was not after two years when he accidentally came across Emily Luis in the US, he made the plan to destroy Oliver. Emily's face gave him the hope to win this war and ruin Oliver once and for all.

Emily's original name was Layla Johnson, she was actually from a well-off family but she was an illegitimate daughter of her father. Her stepmother couldn't tolerate her so she paid some thugs to kill her. When the thugs were chasing her she accidentally came in front of Liam's car. Liam was stunned to see her because her face was too similar to Melody, not exactly like her but there were similarities so a plan immediately formed in his mind, and he saved her.

The girl was very grateful to Liam for saving her life and was determined to repay him for his kindness. In fact, it was not difficult to convince her because the moment Liam saved her, she fell in love with him. And Liam knew it so he kept using her, giving her hope to marry her one day if only she helped him with this task.

Head over heels in love with Liam, Emily immediately broke all ties with her family and followed Liam without any question. Liam helped her changed her identity and he also arranged for a surgeon to change a few features on her face to make her look exactly like Melody. Since then Liam has been raising her, taking care of all her needs, paying for her school, and preparing her to become Melody. Emily also didn't disappoint him, she was already a good student so she studied hard, and became the top student. And the best part was she knew how to play the violin, so it was easy for her to capture Melody's style.

Liam has been training Emily for all these years to become Melody. His plan was to bring her in front of Oliver at the most appropriate time. Unexpectedly, his all plans were interrupted when Ava showed up. Oliver fell in love with Ava and Liam saw his plan fall apart, but he was still reluctant, so he decided to give it a try and that's when he brought Emily into this city and arranged for her to enter the Knight International. He thought this plan would work and he would be able to separate Oliver and Ava. As long as he can break them off, it will still be a win for him and he will be satisfied. However, seeing Oliver and Ava getting married today Liam was not sure of his plan anymore.
