Where

He Zifeng twirls his pen as his face turned grim. He was visiting the set of the shooting for the advertisement of their new shampoo product.

The wardrobe looked hideous, the actor's makeup was melting under the sun, and the makeshift nipa bath area looked like a gust of wind can blow it away.

His irritation at everything he sees is at its peak. The managers looked at him and were terrified.

Finally, one of them pushed out the new employee on probation to serve him coffee. This was Chen Kaori's technique to appease the cold demon when his mood is bad.

The new employee nervously handed the cup to him.

He Zifeng continued to stare at the hopeless set and automatically took the cup to immediately drink the coffee.

He spit it out instantly to the ground. Good thing was that they were outdoors and he did not make a significant mess.

"What the h**l! Are you trying to scald my mouth?! Since when did you not..." he stopped mid-sentence as he realized that it was not Chen Kaori who served his coffee.

The new employee almost pissed her pants. She gathered all courage within her to keep all fluids inside her body.

"Who the heck are you?! Where is Chen Kaori?!" He yelled the second question for anyone to answer. He secretly hoped it was Chen Kaori who will answer to him.

To his dismay, a man's voice answered his question. "Sir, Ms. Chen resigned two weeks ago."

"What?! Why did I not know of this? Who approved her resignation? Where is she now?!"

The man who answered him was baffled by the questions. "Uh...Sir, she went to HR for this...and err...you went overseas that day...if I remember correctly."

He Zifeng shut his mouth, but his frown became worse. 'That woman had the audacity to leave while I'm away. How dare she!'

"Uh, Sir..." the man did not know if he should call someone to search for Chen Kaori.

"Pack up everything! The concept down to the details is pathetic. I want a new advertising team!" With that, He Zifeng stood from his chair and strode towards his car.

He stepped on the gas and the car dashed on the road.

He Zifeng dialled the head of HR. "Give me the address of Chen Kaori." he ordered.

There was a short pause on the other line, then the woman answered, "Will send you the location, Sir."

After which, he hung up. He swerved to make a U-turn once he received the directions to the location on his phone, not minding other motorists at all.

He banged on her door with his tightly clenched fist. "Chen Kaori! Open the door! Chen Kaori!"

Suddenly, an old woman opened the door next to where he was loudly knocking.

"Young Man, are you looking for Kaori?" she asked with a smile.

He Zifeng took a deep breath before answering, "Yes, I am. Do you know where she is?"

"Oh...she left early this morning to go to work."

"That can't be! She resigned from my company!"

"Young man, anyone can get another job, can't they?" she adjusted her glasses.

He Zifeng was keeping his irritation in. He cannot blow up on an old woman. "Do...do you know where she works now?"

The old woman gently shook her head. "She only said she was off to work. It was not my place to ask."

"Oh..." He Zifeng wondered about his own position. He is no longer her boss. He had no right to know. 'Where is Chen Kaori?'
