That night we talked about many things. She told me about her life, how every time there is someone that manages to come onto the island, she would eventually fall in love with them. She said the reason why she was so cold towards me earlier was that she was afraid of being hurt again. I asked her why cant she leave and she said that she was cursed to be unable to leave the island.
"Why were you punished?" I asked hesitantly
"I took my father's side during the first titian war and we lost so we were punished."
"What if I took you out with me?"
"No, then we both won't be able to leave" She shook her head
"What if you lose all your powers?"
"That..."
"Do you want to try?"
"...." She was silent
"I won't leave you alone here by yourself"
"But-"
"The rules only restrict your powers from leaving the island, it's targeting you, otherwise no one else would be able to leave this place"
She was silent and didn't say anything.
"If you were to become a mortal, your existence as a goddess would be removed." I smiled "Of course I could also protect you from the fates with my identity"
She looked at me in confusion.
"I'm not a normal demigod, I am a primordial demigod" I smiled
She looked at me shocked. but quickly shook her head "But, even if I go back to the outside world, I don't know anyone. Everything has changed"
"Then why don't you follow me?" I asked her, although secretly shocked that I could say such words.
She paused for a moment, not saying anything.
"I'll give you time to think about it" I sighed 'looks like she is not ready to trust me after being hurt so many times'
We stayed silent for quite some time before I started to tell her about my experiences.
She didn't interrupt me as she listened to my story.
I talked for an hour straight and she would smile whenever I told her of my scary experiences with my mother. I finished my story and we looked up into the sky, looking at the stars.
"the stars here are beautiful" I told her "The stars could no longer be visible in the outside world except for a few certain locations, but none of them are as beautiful as the ones here."
She continued to look up into the sky. About 10 minutes later I felt her head rest on my shoulders. She was asleep. I carried her back to the house and put her in bed before going back outside and laying down on the grass. I gradually fell asleep while thinking if I should really try to seal her powers.
I woke up the next morning and found myself sleeping on her lap. I stared at her face which was looking at me. Her face turned red and she looked away, but didn't move. I laughed and got up.
For the next month we gradually got closer and we both knew we fell in love with each other. Although she tried to resist the feeling, I would occasionally she her distracted looking at me whenever we ate. We got more and more intimate and we took the next step, we had had sex.
I can see her sorrow in her eyes sometimes after we did it, I immediately knew that she was thinking that I would abandon her. As time went on, I tried o make her happy. On the end of the second month after I arrived, I took het to the beach.
I told her to stand on the beach as I walked towards the water. When I made sure she was at a safe enough distance from me I started to gather the qi. This time I'm trying to break through to the Immortal stage. Last month when we had sex, my cultivation broke through to Mid stage Ascension. I spent the past month stabilizing my realm and raising it to Peak stage before attempting to cross the tribulation to become an Immortal.
I could see the worry from Calypyso's eyes, when she noticed that something would happen. I gave her a nod as I assured her that I would be fine. I kept on gathering qi until I had enough to break through. Heavenly lightning came down one by one, each stronger than the next.
"Arrraghh" I cried out as I took the lightning strikes by full force.
Calypso tried to come over but I stopped her. An entire hour had passed when the clouds started to dissipate. A light came down and I felt stronger, way stronger than before. 'Worthy of being the tribulation to become an Immortal.' I thought to myself 'I almost died back there'
I collapsed into the water and felt Calypso shaking me. She carried me back to the beach.
"I'm fine" I told her "It's merely a side effect of being struck by lightning" I smiled
"glad that you are okay" She breathed in relief "Don't do that next time" She told me with worry in her eyes
"If I didn't do that, then how can I take you back outside?" I grinned
"You-"
"I'm not leaving with out you" I told her solemnly
She started to cry in my arms when she heard that "You fool, who asked you to help me"
I patted her back and smiled "You are my woman, why wouldn't I take that risk for you?"
I spent the entire day recovering from my injuries. The heavenly tribulation of an Immortal is not a insignificant thing, it is something that contains the laws of the universe. 99 out of 100 cultivators would die from this tribulation. Although there was a heavenly tribulation when i reached the Tribulation stage it was only a dozen strikes, but this one was over 300 and each is more powerful than the last.
The next day I took Calypso out to the beach again and carried her before flying outwards on a flying sword. You could fly using a sword in the Nascent soul stage, but it could only fly at a short distance before you run out of qi. The time and speed you can fly on one increases exponentially as you grow stronger. The Immortal stage is different, you could fly without a sword but it would require world essence that could be replenished by absorbing the essence of the world from the stars, while flying on a sword would only rely on the massive amount of qi stored in your body. Your body would also absorb the qi around you automatically so the usage of qi is almost neglectable.
We flew for some time and eventually found ourselves arriving in the UK. I learned that only a week had passed since my disappearance and it took 2 days to get here.
We took a small break before leaving towards Camp Half Blood.
