Vision

-Ten Days Later-

Wanda went and joined the Avengers the day after our talk. Pietro also joined soon after when he heard about Wanda joining.

"Cortana, what is the current situation with the troops" I asked

"Currently, we have over 200,000 active soldiers and 400,000 logistics members. Along with 600,000 security and military bots. There are also about a million active construction and repair drones, 6 shipyards, 50,000 Scorpion II tanks, 5,000 Broadswords, Longswords, and Sabre fighters. Another 6,000 Jackal V fighters and 20,000 Pelican Dropships, 12,000 Pelican Carriers and 15,000 G77s Gunships"

"Oh? when did we have so many assets?" I asked confused

"We have over 100 massive factories scattered throughout the solar system and the nearby planets. Along with the breakthrough in technology for builder/repair bots and drones, we can mass produce them to increase the production rates"

"....." I stared blankly at Cortana

"Alex?" She asked nervously seeing me staring blankly at her

"O-Oh" I slapped myself and decided my next course of action

"Alex?" she asked again

"Cortana, stop production of vehicles for now and use whatever resources we have left to finish the fleet"

"Got it" She nodded and quickly did some calculations before saying "The main fleet will be finished in approximately 2 months"

"That's quite fast"

"We had to split up the resources for the vehicles and weapons, leaving not enough time to finish the fleet. With the massive army of drones and robots, we will need to take a week to send them to the various shipyards to finish the entire fleet"

"Hmm, what's the current situation with the current fleet?"

"We had suffered some damage to several autumn class cruisers, and Halberd Class destroyers. After some maintenance, they should be ready for battle."

I tapped on the table rhythmically deep in thought.

"Also, I forgot to mention that there were several additions to the fleet" Cortana informed me

"Oh? Give me an updated list of the entire main fleet" I told her

"1 Infinity Class Super Carrier, 2 Harrower Class Dreadnoughts, 3 Venators, 3 Arquitan Light Cruisers, 4 Punic Class Super Carriers, 6 Valiant Class Super Heavy Carriers, 6 Epoch Class Heavy Carriers, 8 Halberd Class Destroyers, 10 Strident Class Heavy Frigates along with another 10 in the Infinity's underbelly, 12 Paris Class Heavy Frigates, 12 Charon/Stalwart Class Light Frigates, and 16 Autumn Class Heavy Cruisers"

"How many Vulture Droids do we currently have?" I asked

"About 15,000"

"....." I fell into deep thought

Knock. Knock.

Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in" I told them

"Alex" I heard Calypso call out softly

"Hm?"

I looked up and saw a face I wasn't expecting.

"Welcome home, Artemis" I smiled

"Alex" She said nervously

"Yes?" I asked gently

"I-"

"Sit down first" I told her "I won't bully you will I"

She bit her lip and sat down

"I will leave the two of you to talk" Calypso started to leave

"No, stay. Please" Artemis grabbed Calypso's arm

I looked at her in interest

Calypso looked at me and I nodded. She sat down beside Artemis.

I looked at Artemis and noticed something wrong. I frowned.

"What's wrong?" Calypso looked at me in confusion

I didn't say anything and continued to stare at Artemis.

She seemed to felt uncomfortable at me staring deeply into her.

"Alex" She called out quietly

"hm?" I answered

"I- I want you to help me" She hesitated before asking again

"Then why are you so scared asking me then?" I chuckled "You are my wife you know"

"I-" She opened her mouth and closed it afterwards

Calypso looked at Artemis in confusion. Usually she would be more brave in doing things. Now she is just a nervous wreck.

Seeing that she was still hesitant in saying anything. I sighed "Cal, go take her to your room."

Calypso looked at me in confusion before getting up.

"Alex, I-" Artemis tried to say something

"Go, get some rest before say anything. You are a mess right now. Calm down first." I smiled gently

Seeing that I would really not listen until she gets some rest she got up and went out with Calypso.

After she left the room, she went and had a shower before sleeping quietly on the bed. She looked like she hadn't have some good sleep for a while now. Watching her sleep quietly I frowned. 'What would make her into such a mess? She seems awfully weak right now too' I thought to myself

She seemed to have gotten a bit better and was no longer as nervous as before. Although she still tried to say something I interrupted her and told her to get some more rest with the girls. After dinner, as I was about to sleep, I heard someone opening the door to my room.

I turned around and saw Artemis wearing barely anything to cover her body. She was nervous and shy. She looked around the room before walking closer to me. I looked at her in confusion.

"What's wrong?" I asked her

She didn't say anything

Noticing that her body was slightly shivering, I pulled her into my embrace.

"It's cold isn't it" I sighed as I held her in my arms

She didn't reply and just pushed me onto the bed.

I stared her in confusion. She didn't look at me as she started to undress whatever she had left in front of me. My eyes went wide.

Her shoulders started to tremble and climbed on top of me.

Noticing that she was slightly trembling when she undressed, I pulled her under me.

She stared at me blankly and closed her eyes.

I frowned at her reactions.

I gave her a kiss on the forehead before hugging her close to my body.

She opened her eyes in surprise.

"When you feel better I will do it with you, but you are not ready for it yet" I whispered

After a moment of silence

"Alex, I'm sorry" She trembled

"For?" I asked as I played with her hair

"Being... Being....."

"Whatever you are going to say, don't say it" I moved my hands to her face and clasped it gently "You are my wife. Now tell me, what's wrong?"

"I- I lost my powers as a punishment for helping Apollo" She spoke

"And? That's not what made you into this" I asked

"Apollo was banished form Olympus and became a mortal"

I didn't say anything and continued to listen.

"On the day of his banishment, the gods had a vision"

She paused for a moment before continuing "We saw a man tearing the universe apart, killing everyone and everything in his path."

"I'm scared" She sobbed "All the gods went into hiding when they saw the vision"

I gave her another kiss and said, "It's alright, we will get through it together" I smiled

She only nodded

"Does it feel better now that you talked about it?" I asked

"mm" She nodded again

I smiled "Then what are you afraid of? You still have me remember?"

She was stunned and smiled back afterwards "Yes"
