Ancestors

The six of us entered the gate. As we were passing through, we entered a spatial tunnel leading to an unknown location. Strong spatial winds and lightning struck us.

"Come here" I ordered

The children hesitated before shrinking their size down to the size of a small snake. I reverted back to my human form and had them hide in my sleeves as I hugged tightly onto Artemis's body.

Lightning hit my back as I blocked it from hitting Artemis. She tried to help but I continued to hold her close to my chest tightly. She never cultivated any body forging arts one hit can still heavily injure her. Although it was painful, I didn't show it on my face to keep her from worrying.

"You forgot that I can feel what you feel?" She muttered silently

I heard her but didn't reply

"We're almost out" I said when I saw light at the end of the tunnel.

We flew out of the tunnel and it closed right behind us. The stone began to shine brighter and brighter until it shattered and a stream of energy entered my body while a dark purple stone landed in my hands. I didn't pay attention to it and put it into my spatial ring as I checked for any injuries on Artemis.

"I'm fine" she said before looking at me with worry "But you're injured"

I popped a pill into my mouth and my injuries began to slowly heal. The injuries broke my technique and reverted to my new looks. "I'm fine" I gave her a smile "I've gone through worse"

I absorbed the qi around and found it much more pure than on Earth. I also found my spiritual sense restricted to 20 kilometers. After spreading it out, I found a human inhabited city. The walls were damaged but it seemed to be still standing and successfully defended against it's attackers. On the way there, I found that time seemed to be frozen as the animals, monsters, and even plants were not moving. Everything was completely silent and still.

We walked into the city and found that the people are also frozen. All sorts of emotions are shown on their faces, fear, worry, and relief. I do not understand what had happened and traveled with Artemis and the children. We visited sects, caves, and even battlefields. We stole some of their techniques, I took techniques I found to be compatible with Artemis and see which she liked best. I would also find some interesting techniques here and there. Battlefields were somewhat normal for the most part but we can see all sorts of civilizations here and there. We also saw races we weren't familiar with at first but I found that they were all extinct in the real world.

Some of these races include the demons, elemental gods, angels, demon beasts, elves, elementals, vampires, werewolves, dwarves, and many more. Elementals and Elemental gods were born from the elements, they control the elements and could be dangerous in most cases but Elemental gods can use the laws.

We spent 100 years worth of travelling. We didn't manage to completely travel the entire place, just a fraction of it, but we got a lot of things from it. The sun never went down but we continued to look for clues on how to make time work again. We eventually found another gate hidden in one of the tallest mountains I could find. We got close and it somehow activated. I looked at Artemis and she nodded, telling me that we could go inside and check.

I entered the portal first and Artemis followed right after. We didn't go through a spatial tunnel this time, we went to another world but I can tell that there was a large amount of Demons, Gods, Angels and Immortals in this place as I can feel sorts of energies mixed up. As Immortals we naturally followed the Immortal energies east and found a palace up in the clouds. As we were flying around, I felt something call out for me through my blood.

Me and Artemis looked at each other before going towards the location where it's calling for us. The was nothing there and we were confused.

OOOOMMMM

A blinding light shook the space around us and we were transported to another space. It was dark and we could see an endless sea of lightning around us. In front of us, we saw a manor and a floating island contained within a bubble. We went in without hesitation as something in our blood tells us that it wouldn't hurt us.

There were a lot of cracks and dust everywhere within the place. It now occurred to me that it was a temple. A massive white throne was in front of us, followed by two large dragon statues and a endless hall on both sides with statues of different people. They held different weapons and some just had musical instruments and other things like cauldrons. We walked forwards and the statues broke apart.

"Child" A voice came through our heads.

I was confused and asked "Who are you?"

"Your ancestor" It replied

"...." I was not amused and stared at the air with a 'Are you serious' face

'Cough. I am REALLY your ancestor' The voice coughed awkwardly

"Prove it" I answered

'I'm dead you fool' it shouted

'Brother let us handle this' another voice came

'right' said another

Artemis looked creeped out and the children looked warily at their surroundings.

'child, I am the first Dragon Emperor' The original voice stated

'I'm the second'

'the third'

'Fourth'

...

Over 19 voices rang in my head and only the fifth didn't say anything.

'As our descendant, you came here to stop the time freeze inside this world and help our clan regain their place as one of the major dragon clans'

I blinked trying to process that knowledge.

"WHAT?" I shouted after realizing the stuff I was to go through in the future.

'Well, maybe not the second one but you can do the first one' the second emperor interjected

"WAIT.... this seems like a novel plot to me... you sure this is not a scam?" I asked with suspicion

'He's right' The third emperor laughed 'You expect him to rebuild our clan to the peak? That's crazy'

The voices began to argue and I became dizzy.

Then everything became silent.

'Alright enough chit chat. Go sit on the throne and you will receive our inheritance' The first emperor

I looked skeptical to do so. "Sounds like a scam. You wouldn't kill me if I sat there will I?"

'AHAHAHA' The Third Emperor laughed again

'No but you... will suffer a bit' The tenth emperor replied

The emperors began to argue amongst themselves again.

'ENOUGH' The fifth emperor, the most silent out of all of them yelled, silencing the others 'Go sit on the throne, child, you will receive our inheritance and then we will tell you how to solve your problems'
