Esther

I hadn't waited for long and it really wasn't hard to notice Jason's Fiancé. Especially when she has bright pink hair, yelling out my name and waving. I had a feeling both of us would get along just fine.

"You must be Courage, you are beautiful, I'm Esther."

She smiles widely grabbing my hand and practically skipping to the house with me.

"I really pictured you….shorter" I laughed, I stood a whole foot taller. I'm taller than most woman I come across so I kind of get that a lot.

Also Esther is short.

"I'll take that as a compliment" I replied making her chuckle.

She said she wanted to give me a tour despite my many refusals, with how big this place is, I doubt I could finish the tour in even a week.

The kitchen was big, bigger than anyone I've ever seen but no, it didn't look like a hotel kitchen, more like a kitchen for a big ass family.

There were at least ten burners in here, majority of them occupied. There were six women who stared at us the second we stepped in.

"This is where all the magic happens"

Esther claps excitedly. The women in the kitchen continued to stare making me as uncomfortable as fuck.

"Who is this and is she here?" A rather rude voice spoke, it was the prettiest looking out of all of them, should look at least thirty something.

Her dark hair tied into a messy bun on the top of her head, she had on a pink apron and she had a scowl on her face. She glared at me like I killed her husband.

"This is Courage" Esther replied not sounding fazed by her tone of voice, I wonder how she manages to stay this cheerful.

"And so?...don't you know what she is or isn't your nose working properly?"

Damn she's really rude. I stay quiet though, I just arrived here, would rather not make enemies…anyone of them could kill me at that rate.

"She's human, I know. But she is Sebastian's guest, she has every right to be here"

Esther says, her voice lower, less cheerful than I was used to. I stared at her face, her smile was gone as well.

I noticed the woman's change in expression once she heard their Alpha's name, the other women quickly turned back to their various activities, ignoring me while the rude woman scoffed and walked past us intentionally bumping into my shoulder quite hard.

I stumbled and almost lost my balance from the strength she used. Esther caught me just in time before I embarrassed myself.

She sends a glare the woman's way before giving me a smile almost immediately. The change in expression and emotions creeping me out….

I rubbed my aching shoulder while cussing under my breath, the rude woman is strong, really strong. I'm sure this is going to bruise.

"Ignore Matilda, she has quite a grudge against humans….and women close to Sebastian"

Great, just perfect!

I spent the rest of the day in the room I woke up in. When Esther had finally decided to leave my side, I was tired, sweaty and pretty sure I had made enemies just buy breathing.

Turns out their Alpha never brings in any female guests…or females for that matter which means all the women who had set their eyes on Sebastian now saw me as a threat…me!

I find it funny though, he won't ever like someone like me, considering the number of hot blondes and brunettes I have seen today…they all look like goddesses making me look like the maid at the back that is ignored in every movie or story.

When I came into the room, I took off my clothes and decided to take a shower.

I was exhausted and it seemed as if the weight if everything I've learned since the beginning of the week was finally weighing down on me.

Werewolves exist, witches exist, vampires probably exist as well….this is my life now.

The bathroom was fancy, as expected. It was bigger than any bathroom I've been in. A peach colored tub sat in a corner, big as hell, calling….inviting.

The shower head was impressive, I turned on the shower and adjusted the temperature. Once it was warm I just stood under the water, letting wash most of the tension away.

My muscles and my body relaxed. I spent a bit too long in the shower and I only left when it began to show on my skin…the hot water was endless.

I chose a white bathroom that was set on a rack by the door, after making sure it won't slip off, I grabbed a towel and began to dry my hair. I made my way out of the bathroom and there he was…on the bed.

He gaze me mine and I felt the butterflies in my stomach go haywire which is ridiculous because I don't even know the guy.

"Sebastian" I smiled, I love to see his face. He didn't return the smile but he nodded and stood up. He walked towards where I was standing. When he stood directly in front of me, I held my breath. My skin tingled at his close proximity. His golden eyes stared deep into mine, his lips opened up, like he wanted to say something then he decided against it.

He directed me to the vanity table, he ignored the questioning looks I sent his way even though I still followed his directions and sat on the chair facing the mirror.

He reached his hand out and pointed at the slightly wet towel in my hand that I was using to dry my hair.

This is weird

I give the towel to him, not even arguing. His lips curled up a bit as the towel entered his hands and he began to dry my hair.

My jaw dropped as I store at the man who was currently drying my hair in the most gentle way possible. My heart began to beat faster and faster as I stared at his reflection through the mirror.

Just what the hell is going on?

"You have beautiful hair" he says and my eyes get wet. The last time I heard those words…

"You have the most beautiful hair, just like your mother's" my father has said from behind me as he dried my hair. I had blushed, he always said those words and they always got to me.

I fought tears as thought about how much I missed hearing those words from his lips.

The hands on hair suddenly stopped moving, I looked at Sebastian's reflection who was looking back at me with a worried expression.

"I'm sorry" he said with a sigh as he put down the towel.

"I remind you of him, don't I?"
