I've got a really cool step for the djs. It is called 'the sit down'

The prophecy made sense now. Children of the sea God. Yep. Shall fight all odds. Why not? To calm the God who has it lost. Varuna and his territory. Find the one who didn't die. Grandma Zhang. And be different than a lie. Aha! Lying was not the solution after all. Thanks to Nico for the advice. To be whom you are and face the truth as it is, was what the last line meant.

I discovered myself. We saved Aaron. What else was my goal in this immortal life? I was finally at peace.

Percy, Annabeth and Aaron had already left for camp. Nico stayed behind.

I picked up the glorious face. "Spoils of war," I said. "It'll make a wonderful display in my room!"

Nico smiled.

"Thanks Nico! For everything," I confessed.

"Don't mention. I only did what I thought was right."

"mm-hmm. Being a demigod isn't so hard after all," I said.

Nico stood there completely poker faced.

"Maybe," I laughed. "So... I think it is time I left for Olympus."

"N-uh don't go," Nico blurted.

"Why? I have to."

"We have met after so long, Delilah. It's been months. And you are finally in the mortal world. At least let me show you around. Spend some time with me. Who knows when you'll be back here?"

"I will come back. I promise."

"What if Zeus grounds you from visiting the underworld too?"

"You are over-thinking."

"What if he forbids you, from ever stepping foot on earth." He reasoned. "I'm afraid I won't see you again."

"Dude chill," I urged. "I will come back. I swear it on the river Styx. Does that assure you?" I giggled.

"A little. I just don't want to say goodbye."

I sighed. I stepped forward and hugged him.

"I will be at camp," Nico said.

I did not reply. In a gush of wind my disguise disintegrated with the flow, taking me with it. I did not look back. Right now I had to deal with Zeus. I had to get some answers.

In a few seconds I was already at the main doors of the palace. My appearance wasn't at all showable. I was still disguised. My clothes were muddy and dirty. My hair was ruffled, with twigs sticking out of them. I hadn't noticed my appearance until now. For Aphrodite's sake I looked horrible.

I walked down the roads that led to the palace. Nature spirits, who were roaming around everywhere doing their jobs, were stealing glimpses on me. I ignored them.

I reached to the doors. It had been three days. I took in a deep breath.

I pushed the doors open, revealing the throne room. Loud music pierced through the air. Hermes ran past me going all, "woohoo". I found Dionysus doing Macarena in the centre. Apollo was playing the DJ. Beside him Artemis was scolding him for not playing her favourite music. Poseidon had joined Dionysus, adding rain to their duet. To my left, Ares was slouching on his throne. He looked at me, spreading his muscular arms. Saying, can you believe these folks? He shook his head in disapproval. They all looked really happy. Hestia came to me. "Are you planning to stand at the door all day? Come in already!" She smiled. I walked in. From the right, Aphrodite threw petals over me. "Welcome ba---" She gasped. She immediately spout a spell on me. My attire changed into a more fashionable one. I wore a dress which looked so embarrassing, I won't describe it. My hair was tied neatly in a bun. "Better," Aphrodite said.

"My child!" Hera came rushing towards me. "Oh my delicate little bean. I knew you could do it."

Athena rolled her eyes, shoving Hera away. "You have done well Delilah. But be wiser next time!" She scolded. I smiled nervously. She went back to sit on her throne.

I blinked. Gods were dancing and cheering. I had not expected this. In fact, I thought they'd all be very angry and scold me for my foolish steps. But the picture here was totally different. They were partying. Everyone was so happy.

I laughed. "Wha-hat is this?"

Dionysus stepped up. He shushed the crowd. He dragged me to the front. "Gods and Goddesses, behold the Goddess of Different!" He announced.

A cheer went through the crowd. He turned towards me. "Daughter of Olympus," he added.

Before I could say something, Poseidon pulled me in to dance. I laughed nervously. In no time Ares grabbed me by the hand, pulling me out of the chaos. Thank you so much, dad. "Aah finally. So I wanted to ask... Why didn't you chop the Ouroboros to pieces? I mean, that would have made the job easier."

I tried hard not to argue with the war god. "Oh silly me! Next time I'll be more ruthless," I said.

Another God grabbed me by the shoulder. He dragged me into another room. It was dark, except for the light coming from the window that exposed the throne room. "Father."

"Delilah," Zeus said. "I am really happy that you made it."

"Y-you are not mad?"

"I was at first, but not anymore." He looked me in the eyes. "I am sorry."

Zeus was apologizing! This is the weirdest day of my life. Ohemmmmgeeeesss... First Annabeth and now Zeus. Those people are acting different around me! I don't know if to laugh or cry.

"Delilah, I never wanted to be so rude." He sat on a couch that appeared for him. I tried to do the same magic. No couch appeared. Too late, I fell on my rear. Zeus didn't notice. He was too engulfed in his own thoughts, staring at nothing in particular. I got up.

"I knew there was this prophecy," He continued. "I knew it was about you. I had no worries in the beginning. But seeing that when you tried to use your powers, you would almost always fail. You went on destroying things, unintentionally. You never did anything right."

He looked straight at me. "I was afraid if you went on this quest, I could lose you." He said with a straight face. "I did not want to lose you. You are precious to me. So I forbid you from attempting literally everything. I thought, that way you wouldn't ever step foot in the mortal world and the prophecy would get manipulated." He stared at me, as if riding my train of thoughts. "I underestimated your powers. You are more than just chunks of our powers. I was foolish. I did not realize that forbidding you this way, I was just putting a blind eye on Aaron."

Well, I did not realize that either.

"Dad, I don't care. See? I did not die. Aaron is good. Everything's fine now."

"So you forgive me?"

"Who am I to accuse my own father? Of course I forgive you."

He smiled. We stared at each other for a while, not saying anything. "So, I guess that means you didn't hate me?"

"No. I loved you. In fact I loved you more than I was supposed to, causing all those unnecessary obstacles for you. I was so foolish. And about what you said before leaving... It was at that moment that I realized how messed up we were. I knew about your journey to camp from the very beginning, Delilah." (Updates in chapter 1)

"Really? And you didn't stop me?"

"I gave up. Manipulating a prophecy is stupid. I was stupid."

"Don't blame yourself. I mean, all those years I was always so scared of you. I thought you hated me. Seriously, now that I know why you did that. Now that I have the answers, I think... I don't know what to say. I was so wrong all this time. I should be sorry for not being able to understand you, father. Your love is handmade for me."

"Delilah---"

"No don't say. That is enough father daughter chat for another century." I laughed, wiping away a tear, I hadn't noticed, trickling down my cheek.

He shrugged. "Let's go back?"

We entered the throne room together. "Everyone is so happy. Since the day you were born, Olympus hasn't been the same. You have made the difference. A good difference."

"Thank you," I said.

The front doors flew open. A gush of dark chilly wind blew in. Hades popped up at the entrance. He was wearing sunglasses on Greek robes. The room fell silent. He clapped his hands in the air.

"All the single Hades," he sang.

"All the single Hades."

A roar went through the crowd, followed by a cheer. He joined in the party.

"All the single Hades,

Now put your hands up!"

I laughed.

"Thank you," Zeus said.

~

The party went on. Everybody sang and danced. Ares was snoring on his throne. How could he sleep in such chaos?! Apollo was now playing Artemis's favourite music. I noticed because she was now more cheerful and Apollo had a black eye. Dionysus, Poseidon and Hades were shoving food in. Aphrodite was putting a face mask on. Why in the middle of a party?! Hermes was stopping George and Martha from forcing Apollo to play a rat song. Oh please. Stop them. I strongly hate the song 'pleasures of eating rats' too. I found Hestia on her throne. She looked happier than ever.

I shoved my way out of the party. It was noon. I was free to do anything. Go anywhere.

~

I landed on the ground of Half Blood hill. In the distance, I spotted Nico and Will sitting by the Canoe Lake. I walked up to them. "Nico! Will!"

"Delilah!" Will said. "We were just talking about you!"

"What happened?" Nico asked without skipping a beat.

"You won't believe! The Gods are celebrating. Everything is too good. Even your father is there---"

"That's a relief."

"Will! Quick, we need your help!" Someone called out.

Will sighed. "They won't let me rest," he sang. "Anyways, nice to see you Delilah!" He smiled and hastened away.

"You too, Solace!"

Things were normal at camp. Everyday routine. Everyday life. Not for me. Mine was different. I realized how all this time literally everything had been so different around me. And I never realized. When around me, Annabeth was mean. Percy wasn't very heroic most of the time. Even the Gods acted unlike themselves. Whatever I expected turned out totally opposite and surprised me. I guess, I'll have to accommodate to those surprises. Because that is what defines me. I am the goddess of different. I am different. The only thing that confused me was Nico. He wasn't at all different around me. But maybe he is already way different than the other teenagers. And that is why we are best friends.

"So," I said. "Where would you show me first, Nico?"

"First stop, McDonalds!"

I laughed. "Aye captain!"
