Chapter 6 The Lace dress

"I'm going to go take a shower" I need an excuse to get away from him. There were three possible outcomes. First he could tell me no, then there was him wanting to join me or him just saying yes. He didn't try to stop me from heading to the bathroom so I figured I was fine.

I thought I was lucky until I stepped out of the shower. A nicely folded dress was waiting for me on my bed. One of the maids told me to get dressed and head down to the car. What is going on, I thought to myself.

This dress I was told to wear was a white short sleeveless dress. It had a beautiful lilac lace on the front. I headed out of my room, down the stairs and to the front door. I see Val standing by the car in a suit. He notices me and opens the car door for me. I got in and once he's in the car I asked, "Where are we going?!"

"Well I wanted to do something in order to apologize for yesterday. You almost died because of me letting my guard down and letting Blake hurt you."

I was shocked honestly. "There's no need to apologize Val. It wasn't your fault!" I said looking at him.

"Well I think it's still my fault and if you don't wanna look at this as an apology, then look at it as a date." Val told me while pulling me towards him. After a few minutes we arrive at a fancy restaurant. "Where is everyone?" I asked in confusion.

"I rented the whole place out just for us"

"That must have been really expe…." He suddenly glared at me and I didn't dare finish my sentence. He has a lot of money so this mustn't even be a small dent in his fortune.

"Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Anderson," the waiter said. I was going to correct him,but I didnt wanna make Val upset. " We'll both have whatever you recommend." Val said without even asking me. "Why did you order food?" I whispered. "So you don't feel uncomfortable. I can eat, it's just unnecessary" He responded. The food arrived and after I finished eating he ordered a deep dish brownie and a bottle of wine. The waiter poured me a glass of wine. Val glanced telling me it was ok but I shook my head. The last thing I need is to get drunk.
