He Snapped, Finally

She was not sure if it was her imagination or what, but it seemed like Alexander was… 'No. No way!' Maya shook her head as she immediately removed the possibility of him being shy.

However, if he wasn't such an ass and like an emotionless robot, Maya would have entertained the thought that he was embarrassed because the top of his ears was turning red.

Alexander only had a cup of coffee and half a toast before going back to his room these days. He was staying home a lot, and Sicilia explained that he was having a headache, which is why he was staying, so Maya was trying to excuse the poor man for his poor manners.

Keyword 'trying'.

The rest of the day wasn't any better. Alexander continued giving Maya the silent treatment, and Maya continued to think of him as an ass, which is why the urge to bother him grew within her even more. She followed his every move, followed him to every room, and even mimicked his movement.

Maya could tell he was pissed but little did he know, she had only started her game. He has yet to suffer. With that in mind, Maya was beginning to feel that her job was not so bad.

So she continued being a paid pest. Alexander, however, was very good at ignoring her. But until when?

The day Maya finally got a reaction from Alexander finally happened.

That time, Alexander went to the study room after taking another cup of coffee from the kitchen, and as always, Maya followed him.

As Maya stepped into the room, she found her shoulders grabbed roughly before she was slammed to the wall.

"Oy! I am a woman!" Maya yelled as she glared at him with contempt.

However, Alexander's glare was more dangerous than her. It was sharp and cold.

Maya could not help but close her eyes in fear as she waited for something. However, nothing came.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT FROM ME?" Then a voice so angry so loud forced her to open her eyes.

Now, Maya was sure that he was so pissed, angry, she managed to get the beast out. And this beast was only a few inches away from her face. She could feel his breath when he talked.

However, one thing she knew, she was not going to bow to him or be afraid no matter what. Maya was not a pushover.

Maya gritted her teeth, she lifted her chin, and she held his angry stare with her glare.

"I came here to work! What is wrong with you?" she fired back. She disappointedly stared at him. "Is that how Sicilia thought you? To be rough with women?" She demanded.

His eyes bulged suddenly. Before he frowned, "This has nothing to do with grandma! What is wrong with me? You're the one that has been following me since the morning, staring at me and doing everything that I do," he motioned at the coffee cup in her hand.

"What? Getting a coffee is forbidden now?" She refused to let him win. It was all a game to her, the game of 'who's the most stubborn,' and she loved to win.

"Yes, if I'm in the kitchen, then yes. You only work here. Stop acting like you own the place, He spat out.

"Yes, I know I work here. You're the one who has to stop acting like you own people" Maya wasn't going to let him win. "You know what, you just gave me a headache with all your yelling, but let me tell you something, I'll go wherever I want, I'll be wherever I want whenever I want, and you can kiss my ass," She broke free from his hold and left the room.

Maya might have heard him say something, but she has no idea what he was even talking about. All she wanted at that time was to get away from him as soon as possible. Her heart was still beating so fast that Maya felt like it would go out of her chest.

'Darn, it! Maya doesn't tell me, you get affected by that robotic face?!' She thought to herself disdainfully.

The truth was that it was not the headache that made her leave; it was the proximity. It was how he looked at her straight in the eyes and being so close like no one else ever did, how his body was leaning on her as if their bodies were having a conversation on their own.

She could not just stay. Maya had to leave for some reason. It felt risky, edgy, and she was afraid she might not be able to control herself around him.
