Why Wait?

Back to his present day reality, Juni bounded down the stairs after getting down from his trains of memories, he didn't say anything as he moved towards mark who was seated on a kitchen stool watching the 7am news on the kitchen stool and neither did the ex-secretary utter a word as she passed Juni a cup of coffee

It was as if silence was the only thing needed, after a few sips of the bitter tea, Juni put down the cup on the table with his hands slowly caressing its edges, he looked up at the tv and then at Mark before breaking the satisfying silence

"you don't even like the news channel "he pointed out

Mark smiled as he adjusted his glasses without looking at his former boss before replying

"well, I still don't like it but I watch anyway "he replied

Juni sighed with a sad smile "I guess things are changing slowly"

"yeah…" Mark agreed and the silence dwelled on them again but this time, it was Mark who broke it
