The Attack

Her getting to the store wasn't as smooth as she expected, but she was finally there. What she saw left her in shock and would probably scar her emotions for life. There she stood, face to face with what seemed to be the remains of her book store. The windows shattered, bricks collapsed, entrance door was smashed open. You didn't have to go inside to see the mess that was done inside. All her books were shredded, some burnt while others lay there on the ground with no pages or cover.

Staring blankly at everything, Edna could feel hot tears flowing down her cheeks.

"Who must have done such a thing?"

She looked around all the faces staring at her like she could spot the perpetrator just by staring them back in the eye, but everyone seemed just as surprised as she was. She tried going inside but yhe police man who had just arrived at tge scene stopped her from going inside.
