A high school boy was walking home from school. It had been a pretty normal day for him, school was boring, as usual, his friends are still complete idiots, and his anxiety hit hard around the third period. He was just ready to get home and rest from a very stressful day.
He was almost home, just a block away. He greeted his elderly neighbor and she did the same. And then the unthinkable happened. He was grabbed from behind and dragged into a van. The old woman witnessed the kidnapping. Luckily for her, the kidnappers didn't notice that she witnessed anything. He had gone as fast as he arrived.
The old woman called the police almost immediately. But since she didn't see the license plate they chose to do nothing. Even with seeing their faces they did nothing.
{Later that day}
"What do you mean he was kidnapped?" asked a young woman, "Did you call the police?"
"Maria, I already called then" stated the old lady, "They told me that there was nothing they could do."
"What do you mean their was nothing they could do?" asked Maria, "Why wouldn't they do anything?"
"I-I don't know, Maria." said the old lady, "I'm going to try again tomorrow, alright."
"Alright." Maria said, starting to cry "I don't know what I'm going to tell Daniel, or the kids."
"Just tell them what happened." said the old lady, "It's going to be alright."
