Part 18 : A Heartbreaker
Tomorrow morning, Aldrich tried to talk to Rose again but this time with something in his hand. That was the first time he ever brought food for her. However, something was making him hesitated to go in. His nervousness. After what he just said to her. Aldrich found it too difficult to face Rose after what he have done.
'Should I apologize? But I don't know how! Or maybe I should just treat her like always. But how do I always usually treat her again?' Aldrich walked back and forth, soon he realized that he looked so stupid for doing so.
"Ugh! I don't care. Hey!.." Aldrich just shrugged it off at last and burst into her ward. He stood there in silence looking even more stupid than before when he found out that Rose were not found there. All of those thought just now was completely useless!
"Where did she-" Aldrich left the ward in hurry and went to search Rose. If something happens bad to her again not only Rose but Aldrich would be difficult for him to face but also her father. Aldrich ran and ran until he heard a familiar voice echoed from the staircase. He rushed toward the voice only to witnessed her trying so hard climbing the stairs in crawled position.
"What are you doing?" Aldrich frowned at the same time he felt relieved.
"I'm hungry. But no one answered the phone or heard emergency button that I pushed so many times so I'm going to have my din-" Just when her were about to take one more step, her foot landed on the edge of the stair which caused her to lose her own balance. Knowing that her were falling down her were physically prepared for the impact but her fell on something warm instead of a loud thud. It's Aldrich caught her right on time. Rose is frozen.
"Just go back to your ward. You're just causing troubles to everyone." Aldrich rolled his eyes as he helped Rose to walked back to her ward. Nothing came out from her mouth. It left her speechless.
"I happened to buy a lot of fried chicken. I can't finish them all so you have to finish them." Aldrich emphasized the word have to so that Rose won't know that he actually purposely bought it for her.
"You kept on changing just like the weather." Rose scoffed.
"Same goes to you."

Since Rose's right hand were still wrapped in bandages, Aldrich helped her to eat which made her awkward and happy at the same time.
"Open your mouth." Aldrich gritted his teeth, annoyed that Rose kept on refusing then drumstick that he offered to her.
"I-I can eat it by myself." Rose kept refused while stuttering. It's awkward when he being nice.
"Don't make me mad Haryln Lawrence Rose!" He urged and put the drumstick nearer until it touched her lips.
At last, she her mouth wide and bite the drumstick in his hand. He felt grateful that her ate what he bought for her. Not long from after that, someone rang the door bell and at the same time her finished the drumstick. Aldrich quickly grabbed for the tissue to wipe his oily fingers and headed to the door. It is really surprised him to see unexpected visitor once he opened the door.
"Oh Mr. Mathew You need anything here?" Aldrich asked felt annoyed.
"It's Matthew." Noah corrected him before giving him a mysterious white box.
"A gift for lovely Rose. Her favorite." Taehyung purposely emphasized the word lovely Rose.
Aldrich accepted it and was about to check what is inside when Noah suddenly stopped him from doing that. Aldrich looked up only to receive a death glare from Noah.
"I know something that you did behind your wife back."
Aldrich didn't look too shock by his statement, as if he knew what he actually meant.
"What is it?" Aldrich raised his eyebrow.
"You cheated on her." Noah's eyes were narrowed rigid, cold, hard showing that he was really mad but that didn't even scare Aldrich even a bit.
"My wife knows.." He said, making Noah frowned before continuing.
"...and she still stupidly loves me."
Aldrich stomped the door closed and heaved a very long sigh. He also wandered when, he could finally stop all of this and live like how he wanted. The arranged marriage destroyed his dream life. He had sacrificed his own dream, just to make the old man who took good care of him happy. The old man shouldn't be blamed though, because it was his decision to walk on this thorny path.
"Who is it?" Rose snapped his thoughts off and brought him back as he was already spacing out.
"Just someone. He gave you this." He replied shortly and motioned her to go back to bed while he put the box next to her. The white box looked so nice, raising her excitement and anticipation.
"Open it. Quickly." Rose ordered excitedly and he just obeyed.
Inside of the white box, another plastic rigid box was there filled with chocolate that were individually sealed in gold colored foil and nestled in paper cup.
"It's Ferrero Rocher! My favorite!." Rose said excitedly and smiling widely
"You wanna try?" Aldrich took one of the chocolates unwrapped the gold colored foil and then motioned Rose to open her mouth. Rose opened up her mouth as Aldrich fed her the chocolate. He offered her one by one when he suddenly spoke up, ruining the good atmosphere and Rose's heart broken into pieces again for millionth times.
"Listen, don't get your hopes too much on me. I'm just doing this because of Dad."
