A devil's kiss

"She didn't know she made a deal,

With a devil"

{}

Crystal wakes up to the feeling of someone tapping her cheek. Repeatedly.

Cracking her eyes open, she takes a peek through squinted eye lids to see who the culprit was.

"Good morning~ rise and shine" the person sings sweetly which makes the frightened and confused girl sit up straight abruptly in alert. Staring at the person with wide blue eyes.

It was a woman with short dark hair which was tied back in a ponytail. Her small brown eyes held amusement as she stared at Crystal with a wide smile on her lips, her brows raised. She was seated on her bed holding a tray of what Crystal assumed to be breakfast.

"Woah. Are you okay? Sorry if I scared you. Crystal Sylvester, correct?" She asks laughing a little. Her accent heavy. Hesitantly, the girl nods eyeing the woman cautiously. How did she know her name?

"Who are you?" She asks and the woman rolls her eyes.

"Nice meet you too" she muses back jokingly. When she sees that Crystal doesn't share the amusement, she clears her throat awkwardly.

"I'm Yui. But it's aunt for you. You know that girl that picked you up from airport yesterday? That's my step-daughter. Anymore questions?" She asks and Crystal shakes her head despite still being confused about everything. So she's Sakura's step mother. Sakura never mentioned anything about a step mother during dinner yesterday.

"Rise and shine Crys- what the hell are you doing in here?!". Speak of the devil. Sakura exclaims loudly catching the two females attention, her mood dropping instantly. Yui keeps the breakfast tray aside on Crystal's bed. Standing up to face her step daughter.

"Sakura dear, you should have told me Crystal was coming yesterday. I could have-"

"You could have done nothing! Please leave!" Sakura yells rudely which makes Crystal visibly flinch at her tone. Why was she being mean? Yui seemed like a good person so why was

Sakura being sour towards her?

Yui's shoulders slump down as she sighs in defeat, turning to face Crystal with a forced smile, "if you need anything, you can tell me" she says sweetly as Sakura scoffs behind her rolling her eyes.

The older woman stares at the rude girl for some moments before leaving the room completely.

As soon as she leaves, Sakura's sour expression turns into an excited one as she steps into the room closing the door behind her. The sudden change of demeanor almost giving Crystal a whiplash.

"So... are you hungry? " She chirps. Crystal still couldn't believe how fast Sakura's demeanor had changed. She just went from a grumpy Squidward tentacles to a bubbly SpongeBob SquarePants.

"What the heck was that about?" Crystal exclaims staring at her cousin in disbelief. She never thought she'd ever see this side of Sakura because she didn't even think she had one.

"I asked a question first. Are you hungry?

"But mine is more important. What was that about?"

"Goddamn Crystal, just answer the damn question" Sakura folds her arms in annoyance.

"Yes I am. Now answer mine"

"Good, let's eat out!" Sakura turns for the door.

"Sakura!" Crystal yells jumping up from her bed and rushes towards said person. She closes the door back shut before leaning against it.

Now glaring at Sakura, she asks again "Sakura, why were you being rude to your stepmom? You didn't even tell me about her"

"Is that how to talk to your older sister?"

"Sakura..." Crystal says in a warning tone.

"And is that what I asked you to call me?"

"Sakura.."

"By the way your mouth smells like platypus ass"

"SAKURA!!" Crystal yells now with a red face. Both from annoyance of Sakura's behavior and embarrassed about how bad her morning breath was.

Sakura throws her head back sighing in defeat, "ok... But this is something I'd rather we discussed outside. Go freshen up first, I'll tell you over breakfast" she says patting the younger's head.

Crystal nods smiling at the blonde. The smile soon falling when she feels a hard knock on her head afterwards.

"Ow! What was that for?!" She groans holding onto her head in pain.

"What did I say you were supposed to call me?" The elder smugly says and Crystal internally rolls her eyes. Oh for the love of God.

"néh-san...."

{}

Both girls arrive at a small cafe an hour later, taking a table close to the window as they got lost in their conversation. A waitress comes to take their order, walking off to the kitchen to get their food.

"So where do you want to go first? How's Tokyo so far?" Sakura asks the younger not taking her eyes off her phone.

Crystal could tell Sakura was distracted because even through out their ride here, she would constantly check her phone as if expecting someone to call or text her.

"I literally just arrived yesterday so I can't say anything yet" Crystal replies noticing a couple in the far corner of the cafe lost in their own world.

"Mmhmm..." The blonde replies watching her phone anxiously which makes Crystal raise a brow.

"Are you waiting for someone to call or something?" The sudden question catches the attention of the elder and she looks up at the brunette quite dazed. Crystal giggles at her expression.

"Look who's getting distracted"

"Sorry... My boyfriend texted me this morning and we agreed to meet up here. That was the other main reason why I suggested we eat breakfast out. You know... Besides my so called "step mother" " Sakura says making air quotes around the word "step mother".

"Speaking of stepmothers... Mind telling me why you hate yours so much?" Crystal asks making the older blonde roll her eyes in annoyance. Just as she's about to answer, her phone rings.

"Oooohhh.... sorry... I have to get this" Sakura says with an apologetic expression but that didn't fool Crystal. She could tell her cousin was thankful for the call because she clearly didn't want to talk about her stepmom.

"I'm going to the bath room. This conversation is not over" with that said, Crystal stands up and leaves for the bathroom noticing the smug look on Sakura's face.

"Bathroom's that way!" Sakura mouths the direction and the younger nods.

Finally doing her business, she washes her hands and fixes herself in the mirror before walking out of the bathroom.

Sakura greets her with an angry pout when she returns to their table. Folding her arms as she glares at the younger.

"Were you pooping in there or something? What took you so long?!"

Sakura practically yells making the old couple next to their table glance at her with bemused expressions.

Crystal notices their food had arrived and she picks up a fork and starts digging in.

"What are you getting so worked up about? I wasn't even gone that long"

"Are you kidding me? I got old, died and got reincarnated in this seat and you still weren't back!" Sakura exclaims once more, watching in annoyance as a nonchalant Crystal continues to stuff her face.

"Ok I'm sorry geez!" Dramatic much?

"My boyfriend was just here and I really wanted you to meet him" the now seemingly calm Japanese blonde mutters as she dug into her own food. Crystal raises a brow.

"Why didn't you ask him to wait until I got back then?"

"I did. But he had somewhere urgent to go to and he had to leave" Sakura says with a pout as she took a sip of her water. Crystal hums shrugging as Sakura starts to tell her about the places she wanted Crystal to visit.

The conversation about her stepmother now momentarily forgotten.

The next day, the two girls spent the whole day shopping in the different malls and boutiques littered all over Tokyo.

Sakura had insisted that they start doing some shopping first before the exploring that Crystal so desperately wanted to do.

And of course no girl could ever say no to shopping so they spent the entire day both buying different clothes, bags, shoes and other female accessories.

" I'm so exhausted. That was fun though. I'd like to do it again. You down?" Crystal chirps sucking on a lollipop she bought on their way back as she glances at her cousin who's eyes were solely focused on the road.

"I'm down. That is if you're willing to be the one to pay for the stuff I want to buy" Crystal pouts at the blonde's words looking out the window once more, admiring how beautiful the city looked at night.

Suddenly, the car starts to slow until it stops in the parking lot of a small diner. The brunette glances at the Japanese blonde in confusion.

"Why?"

"Almost out of gas" Sakura mutters, cursing in her native language before turning off the car completely. This doesn't surprise Crystal however. They did spend the entire day driving around Tokyo so the gas is bound to finish.

"There's a gas station nearby. Can you stay here until I go to-"

"Yeah yeah. Just hurry. I'm super tired and I want to go home" Crystal says cutting the blonde off.

Sakura nods before stepping out the car to grab a keg from the trunk, once again telling the younger girl that she would be back soon before leaving completely.

Seconds turn to minutes as Crystal starts to get bored of the songs in her phone. There was no strong WiFi in the area and she was also out of mobile data which made the wait all the more worse. It was also getting a little stuffy in the car so she opens the door for some fresh air.

Why was Sakura taking so long?

Stepping out of the car completely, she leans against it. Watching people going in and out of the diner. When someone in particular catches her attention.

A guy with long dark hair, leaning against his car on his phone as he spoke in a foreign language. She wasn't exactly sure what language he was speaking but it sounded a little like Spanish. Or maybe french. She wasn't sure.

The guy was clearly irritated as he talked on the phone, a frown adorning his lips as he spoke. And though there was a look of irritation on his face, Crystal couldn't deny the good looks this stranger possessed.

He was what you would call an "eye candy". With his long slightly messy black hair and honey coloured eyes that looked too beautiful to be real. She almost suspected that they were contacts.

From where she stood, she could tell that his height was around maybe 6'2 or 6'3 so he was definitely on the taller side. He wore a gray turtle neck that fitted him in all the right places with a black jacket over it. She could see his body proportions from where she stood and it was anything but disappointing. You could see he was built. Not body builder built because of his lean frame but definitely not scrawny. He had just the right amount of muscle to make him look intimidating even from afar.

The call finally ends but you could see that he was still pissed about whatever he and the person on the other line had talked about. Now leant completely against his car, he throws his head back breathing out as he stared at the sky.

Crystal couldn't help but glance down at his barely exposed neck. So thick and veiny unlike her own. The man was indeed beautiful.

All thoughts escape her when he suddenly glances towards her direction making her breath hitch. Heart pounding in her chest as her cheeks flush in embarrassment of being caught staring.

His eyes narrow as he stares intensely at the girl making her squirm. She wanted to look away, but those damn eyes had her trapped. It was as if he was staring into her soul and Crystal really didn't know if she liked it or was just afraid.

Truly, she'd never seen eyes as beautiful as his.

His eyes were simply what had her trapped in this unwanted staring contest in the first place that she couldn't find it in her self to look away. And coupled with the light of the moon, they seemed to glow. Just like that of a werewolf from all those paranormal romance movies she'd watched before.

He then raises a brow, as if asking her what she was looking at or why she was looking at him.

The action finally makes her snap out of her dazed state before she finally breaks eyes contact and gets back into the car like the scared little girl she was. Breathing out a heavy sigh of relief as she relaxes in her seat.

She watches through the rare view mirror to see him still standing there by his car staring in her direction. Now she was creeped out.

Is he some kind of killer or something? What if he wants to kidnap her just for staring at him?

Anxiety was rising within her as similar more thoughts swarm her head. But is quickly diminished when he finally looks away, opening his car to get inside before he drives out of the parking lot to God knows where.

Crystal sighs in relief.

Talk about being paranoid. She'd always had an active imagination as a kid that sometimes she even acted on it even though it was not real.

Today for example.

She had imagined him coming up to her car to drag her out and murder her right on the spot. She wouldn't be surprised if he did. Because even though she was admiring him earlier, she couldn't tune out the warning bells that were ringing at the back of her head so loudly that it almost gave her a headache. Danger radiated off of him and she could clearly feel it even from where she was standing.

All she could say right now was she was glad her imaginations were wrong.

Now relaxed, Crystal once again steps out of the car for that fresh air she so much craved for.

And as promised, the cool breeze caresses her face as she breathes in the coolness and breathes out in bliss.

Her eyes were closed as she leans herself against the Jeep. Head tilted up feeling relaxed. Though the peaceful moment is cut short when goosebumps rise on her skin meaning something was wrong and she opens her eyes to check her surroundings.

Her instincts are confirmed when she spots some bikers parked at the other side of the parking lot. Exactly where the guy from before had his car parked.

They obviously just arrived because they were not there moments ago when she first came out.

She notices one of the bikers staring at her. She could tell he was a native, with his small eyes and black hair and she could also hear them speaking in the Japanese tongue from where she stood.

There were three of them. Two with Jean jackets and the one who was currently stealing glances at her wore a leather jacket. He would glance at her with a smirk which makes her shiver in disgust. Internally gagging further when he taps his buddies for them to also glance at her with a wink in an attempt to flirt.

"This is ridiculous. Where the hell is Sakura?" Crystal mutters under her breath dialing Sakura's number on her phone.

She's about to press call when cold fingers suddenly grip her chin raising her chin up. The guy who was giving her flirty looks along with his friends was now standing in front of her with a smirk.

"Hello baby girl? What are you doing here all alone?" His purrs, his Japanese accent still managing to show.

Crystal's nose scrunches up in disgust at the stench of the guy's breath. He was obviously drunk. His words were slurred as he spoke in what he would call a "sexy voice". If only he knew how gross he sounded.

The now frightened girl looks away and tries to open the door to get into the Jeep but he only slams her against it. Pressing his body against her as his hand slithered up and down her body suggestively.

"Please leave. My boyfriend will be back soon" Crystal whimpers out, hoping he couldn't see through her little lie. The guy only chuckles turning her around to face him.

"What do you say we go somewhere else before he comes back..?" He rasps out close to her ear. The stench of his breath making Crystal's eyes water.

"I promise you'll have so much fun with me and my boys, you'd even forget your boyfriend" he continues now leaning down a bit as he hungrily stared at her lips. Crystal tries to wiggle out of his grasp but he only holds her tighter. Almost painfully tight.

So raising her leg up, she knees him right on the crotch area which makes him groan and release her before she darts away from him. She could hear him yelling in his native tongue for his buddies. No doubt ordering them to follow after her.

Crystal thanks the heavens for not wearing the heels Sakura had suggested today. These sneakers were definitely paying off right now. Especially since she was a fast runner.

Though she wondered how long the chase would be and if she'd be able to get away from them. She'd eventually get tired and that would be when her fate would be decided.

Slowing her run down into a jog, she glances behind her to find that non of them were in sight. She lost them.

But not for long.

Turning the corner, Crystal bumps into something rock solid. The impact making her groan a little as she had bumped her nose against it also.

It takes a while for her to realise that she had bumped into a rather tall guy. And not just any guy.

The person turns around to face her with a dark scowl on his face.

It was the Spanish guy from the parking lot.

It seemed he was having a serious conversation with the bald man next to him who looked just as intimidating. But there was just something about this Spanish or French guy that made him seem more dangerous. They were both now just staring at her as she fumbles with her words to apologise.

"Soko!" A voice behind her catches her attention. Her mind racing so fast as she pondered on what to do in the situation.

One of them yells out something in native once more which makes her eyes widen in fear.

So in the heat of the moment, Crystal wraps her arms around the strangers neck pulling him down to her height before crashing her lips against his.

Neither of them move, both shocked by her own actions. Crystal's face heats up in embarrassment when the guy threads his fingers into her hair. Grabbing the strands to pull her away. Before diving in once more to capture her lips with his in a more heated kiss.

Shock could not begin to describe what Crystal was feeling right now. She initiated the kiss only to make it seem to the three Japanese bikers that this was her boyfriend so that they'd leave her alone. But here he is now giving her a real kiss.

This was not what she planned at all.

The guy even goes as far as tilting his head for a better angle as he kisses her deeper. Holding her against him firmly by the neck and waist as her fingers clutched onto his jacket. Her lungs start to burn with lack of oxygen as the kiss was now taking too long so she tries breathing in through her nose before she whimpers against him in protest. Pushing him away a little.

Taking heed to her protests, the guy reluctantly pulls away leaving Crystal a little dazed and confused as she tried to collect her thoughts.

Why did she kiss him again?

Oh... That's right.

Turning around a little, she finds the three guys staring at them with flabbergasted expressions. They had seen the whole thing and that was why they had stopped chasing her.

"This is my boyfriend. So leave or else" the threat sounded weak but she just had the best kiss of her life so of course she couldn't think straight. It was all she could think of right now.

She's surprised when a look of horror takes over the shock in their features. All three slowly stepping backwards with their eyes still on the guy that just kissed her before the turn and leave completely.

Crystal is surprised how easy that was. She didn't think her plan would work because there were three of them and one of him. They could easy gang up on him and beat him up.

So why did they leave so easily?

And why did they look scared?

If three dangerous bikers were so scared of him, should she be scared too?

With those thoughts in mind, she turns around to face the man who was now leant up against his car parked next to the. An expensive looking car she might add.

The bald guy he was talking to moments ago was now gone leaving her alone with him on the street. What time was it for the street to be this quiet?

"Umm..." The brunette starts feeling her cheeks flush as she shifts uncomfortably in her spot. The man despite looking attractive right now, was eyeing her intently which intimidated the hell out of her.

Three bikers did just run away from him scared.

So that meant they knew him and what he was capable of.

What if he was a killer or something? Who was he?

"I... I wanted to apologise for kissing you like that... Wh..when they first attacked me.. I...I told them I had a boyfriend and I only used you to make it seem more believable" that sounded so wrong in so many levels.

You used him? Nice choice of words Crystal, her subconscious scolds.

His honey coloured eyes narrow a little, no doubt at her choice or words which makes the girl even more flustered under his gaze.

"W..wait I didn't mean it like that. I... I didn't want them to know I was telling a lie so that's why I kissed you for them to leave me alone. And I'm really really really sorry about that please don't call the cops on me I swear I didn't have dirty intentions or anything I...." By now Crystal was just rambling more apologies and more reasons to her actions without even realising it.

The beautiful stranger could only stare at her with amusement at how cute she looked as she rambled on and on.

Why was she apologising for the kiss when he was the one that even took it too far?

Internally smirking in amusement, he slowly starts approaching the rambling girl who's mouth was no where near shutting up as more words tumbled out of those plump pouty lips.

"... And like I said, I'm really sorry if I caught you off guard. I was scared they were gonna hurt me and-" he places a long finger on her lips shutting her up.

Crystal looks up at him with her big blue eyes and he couldn't help but admire the innocence that shone in them. She blinks at him once... Twice... Confused on what he was going to do now that he's shut her up.

His fingers proceed to grip her chin firmly, his thumb tracing her bottom lip as his lips curve in a frown which confuses the already confused girl even more.

Was he mad at her?

But she apologized.

Several times!

The silence between them grows into something that made the girl feel a little bit uncomfortable.

Remembering that she had no idea who this guy was and here she was standing all alone with him at night. He could kill her and hide her body and it would be her fault for being stupid enough to pull such a stunt with this handsome stranger.

His golden orbs look up from her lips to her wide eyes.

He stares at them silently, several seconds passing before he speaks. Saying the words in such a low voice it was almost a whisper.

And that makes Crystal mentally question herself what she had gotten into.

"You owe me for that.."
