"You've become my addiction,
So rejecting me is not an option"
{}
It's cold. It's really cold.
Yet there is a warmth Crystal's feels blooming through all that cold.
Managing to shuffle closer to it in her sleep, her body tingles at the feeling of the warmth and the strangely familiar scent that takes over her senses.
Very familiar indeed.
She cracks her eyes open a little now partially awake. Her body was swaying in mid air as her feel dangled about. That is not the only thing she notices.
The warmth she had shuffled into was actually a body. A hard solid body which also radiated that familiar cinnamon scent that always gave her goosebumps.
And that is when she realized she was being carried. By non other but her nightmare himself.
Crystal shuts her eyes back closed hearing Hunter and her cousin communicate in the Japanese language. So she was clueless on what they were saying. Her mother was Japanese but she rarely ever spoke it and Crystal never bothered to learn.
So he speaks Japanese too?
"Aww, look how peaceful she looks. Relaxing against you like that. I told you she'd warm up to you" Crystal hears her cousin say in English and Hunter chuckles right after. His solid chest vibrating against her.
"She took it quite literally too"
This makes Crystal want to jump away from him instantly and put as much space as she could between them. But that would mean waking up and facing him and Sakura too.
Sakura didn't know what was going on so she would definitely not appreciate Crystal being rude to her boyfriend. She'd already done once earlier at the club. A second time could definitely tick her cousin off.
So instead, she relaxes more against him. Savouring the warmth of his body against hers as the guilt of actually enjoying his hold ate her up inside.
"Is your stepmom here?"
"No, she's out. Probably spending more of my dad's money. Why don't you go keep Crystal in her room. It's the door right after mine. I'll go make us something in the kitchen" a kiss is heard right after Sakura's reply and Crystal could imagine her cousin giving her "lovely" boyfriend a kiss on the cheek.
Sakura's footsteps become faint as she walks away to the kitchen.
Crystal feels herself being carried up the stairs and she starts panicking inside when she realizes she's going to be alone with this guy in her room.
Not to worry. As long as he thinks I'm sleeping, it wouldn't be a problem.
Crystal mentally tries to reassure herself.
The door creaks as Hunter opens it, closing with a soft bang. Slowly, he walks into the room towards Crystal's bed before gently laying her down.
It's quiet. Too quiet. And this was making the brunette's senses go haywire.
She didn't hear the door open so that meant he was still in the room. But what was he doing?
Crystal is tempted to open her eyes and see what he's up to but forces her self not to as she didn't want him to know she was awake.
She feels him shuffle around right next to her bed before the space beside her dips. Followed by the feeling of his cold fingers caressing her cheek.
Please leave please leave please leave please leave please-
"I know you're awake... Conejita"
Oh crap
Crystal still refuses to open her eyes. Hoping he would eventually believe that she was sleeping and leave.
He doesn't.
"Open your eyes little girl... Now" he orders darkly and Crystal abruptly starts to sob as she turns away from him.
She had already been caught. So there was no use to continue her act.
Sitting up, she shuffles away from him until her back is pressed against the head board. Her knees to her chest.
"What... What do you want from me?" She sobs out wiping her tears as they roll down her cheeks continuously and uncontrollably. Hunter watches her from where he's seated. His face as usual void of emotions as he stared at the crying girl.
"Please... Please leave me alone. I'm sorry I was rude to you earlier but p...please...." She trails off unable to continue as another sob breaks out.
All she wanted was for him to go away. She already felt freaked out the first time she had met him but after what he had said to her earlier tonight, she was now genuinely scared.
She'd wished she hadn't met him. In fact, she'd wished she hadn't even come to Tokyo in the first place just to not cross paths with him. But alas, her curiosity about the secrets her parents were keeping got the best of her.
And they did say "Curiosity killed the cat".
Now she was
experiencing the physical irony of that saying in the most cruel way possible. Maybe even worse.
Hunter stands up moving closer to take a seat next to her. Shifting towards her to get as close as possible.
Crystal moves to get away from him but he stops her by placing his hand on her cheek. Gently caressing her soft skin just like he did earlier when she was fake sleeping.
"L.. listen. I know you saved me and all and I thank you for that. But please. Leave me alone. Why are you still here? What do you want from me?" She whispers quietly as the tears roll down her blushed cheeks.
She couldn't deny just how beautiful he looked up close. There was barely any imperfections in his face. No scars, no freckles, no blemishes. Just a small cute mole on his chin.
His brows were thick and carved and his lashes so long she somehow envied him for it. Her own lashes compared to his own were almost non existent.
"What do I want from you?" He speaks lowly leaning in close to her face. His nose lightly brushing against hers.
"Do you want the truth? Or should I tell you a lie?" He asks with a small grin.
She wanted the truth. But could she handle it? She didn't know what type of things were going in his head. But based on his actions, Hunter's head would definitely be filled with nothing but dark thoughts. So she asks for what's untrue instead.
"Lie" she speaks the single word making his grin stretch to a smirk. Something she noticed he did often. His grin would always turn into a smirk or smile and vice versa. She didn't know how easily he could do it, but he did.
"Shame on you girl. Shame on you" he chuckles, "you ask of me to lie. You ask of me to do something evil".
Crystal's brows Farrow at the irony of his his words. So far, he was the only person in her life she'd consider evil.
And here he is commenting on how an evil act lying is.
"Lie" Crystal says now more firmly and he smirks.
He pushes her down onto the bed which makes the girl gasp in shock. Her wide blue eyes staring up at him as he holds her hands on either side of her head. Proceeding to lace their fingers.
Thud
Thud
Thud
Crystal's heart continues to beat so loud she was afraid he could hear it. He then leans down to rest on his elbows. Now completely caging her and pinning her down in place with his body at the same time.
Now she was sure that even if he could hear how hard her heart beating, he could definitely feel it against his chest.
"Fine then..." He rasps out leaning down to her ear, "I'll lie.."
Crystal's body shivers at the feeling of his breath hitting her skin and his lips brushing softly against her sensitive ear. The anticipation raising her anxiety levels at an alarming rate.
Hunter chuckles softly, no doubt amused by how much the girl was quivering under him. He wasn't exactly sure what the cause was however.
Was it because of fear?
Or was it something else?
"I don't want you. I don't find you intriguing. I also definitely don't want to possess your mind body and soul..." He pauses biting down on her ear making her already quivering form shake with something else.
"I don't want to take you away from everyone and everything and keep you for myself. I don't want to tie you up on my bed so you don't even think of running away from me..." He pauses again, shifting his body a little before leaning up to be eye level with her.
"When I got a taste of you for the first time, I wasn't instantly addicted. I didn't want to kiss you again and again. I didn't want to claim you instantly... Over and over again until you realised you were mine. Oh no.... I didn't want that"
By now Crystal cheeks were now wet with tears as her cousin's boyfriend currently hovering over her indirectly told her everything he wanted from her.
She was scared of every sentence that came out of his mouth. Every damn word.
But what scared her the most was the way her heart fluttered at every word he uttered.
Butterflies also fluttered wildly in her tummy as she listened to every he wanted to do to her. As he listened to how much he wanted her.
Was she sick to actually want it all? Everything he said?
"I don't want to kiss you again..." He whispers lowly looking down at the girls cherry coloured lips. Soft and pouty.
"I also wouldn't kill every single thing that would dare try to keep you away from me. And I mean every. Single. Thing.... Or one.." he growls lowly at the last part possessively. Tightening his hold on her fingers.
He leans down slowly, keeping his eyes on the teary blue eyes of the girl beneath him. Breathing in sharply as his lips brush lightly against hers when she turns away abruptly. He pauses, staring intently at her before he pulls away a little. Still not completely getting off of her.
"I'm... I'm sorry Hunter but..." Hunter's eyes close shut at the way she whimpers out his name, "I don't know you. You also don't know me and most importantly... You're dating my cousin. You can't just say stuff like that to me. It's wrong" Crystal says slowly her head to look up at him.
"That kiss meant nothing Hunter... You only did it to save me and I thank you for that. But other than that... It means nothing. Now please. Go back down to your girlfriend. She's waiting for you" Crystal couldn't deny how her heart tightened when she spoke those words. Almost as if she was... Envious.
But of what?
Hunter now has a deep scowl on his face as he glares down at the brunette. His lips set in a frown, eyes narrowed.
"My girlfriend is my business. Not yours" he states making Crystal scoff internally.
"Your girlfriend is my cousin so of course it's my business too. The guilt has been eating me up ever since I found out that the stranger I kissed was actually my cousin's boyfriend. And you should feel guilty too because you actually cheated on her and I betrayed her" the brunette explains, desperately trying to make him understand and hoping every words she spoke was actually getting through to him.
But like the human robot he was, his expression wasn't giving away anything as it was as blank as an empty sheet of paper.
He was doing that staring thing again which always made her squirm under his gaze. She couldn't tell what he was thinking. Did he take heed to her words? Did he actually listen to her?
Or was he just staring?
Slowly, he slides off her body. Completely getting off the bed before calmly walking out her door not bothering to look back or even say a word.
Hunter stares at his girlfriend as she serves the soup she had warmed up for them both to eat. Still brooding, he's oblivious to everything the blonde was saying as he stared at his tangled fingers on the kitchen island. His sour mood turning even worse as her words play in his head over and over again.
Why couldn't she just understand him?!
He breathes out sharply wishing his girlfriend had an off button as she went on and on about some hilarious romantic comedy she had watched not too long ago.
She doesn't understand you. She's like the rest of them.
"Shut up" Hunter groans clutching his head which makes Sakura pause to look at him.
"You said something babe?" Hunter shakes his head, forcing himself to give a fake smile which Sakura takes as a sign to continue her ramble.
Sakura was pretty. A beauty even. She was cool, classy, hot and everything a guy would want in a girl.
But what Crystal didn't know is Sakura was just a tool and also an important part in the plan he'd intended on executing to finally complete what he had started all those years ago.
And now the girl that actually has his attention doesn't want to be with him because she thinks he was in love with someone else.
She thought it was just a mere infatuation. A mere attraction.
Hunter runs a hand through his hair.
Though maybe she did have a point about him leaving her alone. But not because he was dating someone else. It was an entirely different reason.
Crystal has been nothing but a distraction which could delay the execution of his plan. She'd been on his mind ever since the first time her little bunny self lunged herself on him for a kiss to save herself from the three bikers.
Since then, he found it hard to actually think about anything else besides her and honestly it was getting to him. He wasn't one to get impressed easily even from the richest, most beautiful and most powerful of women. So what was it about a little girl with bunny like buck teeth that had him attracted? That had him hooked?
"Apple juice or orange juice?" Sakura suddenly asks catching her boyfriend's attention who was deep in thought. He shrugs lazily not even looking up at her.
"Water is fine"
"Ugh! You're so boring ~" she whines grabbing the bottled water from the fridge. Hunter's mind falling back to his earlier thoughts.
He'd definitely have to find a way to distract himself from the girl. At least until his mission was over.
But until then, one thing was for sure.
Even though he despised that he'd met her at times like this. It still wouldn't change the fact that she now belonged to him. She'd managed to find a way to thaw through his cold heart and he was determined to keep her since she was the first to ever succeed.
She was his. Exclusively his.
Nothing or no one could change that. Not even her. And if anything ever dared to, he'd dispose of it immediately.
Because when it came to her, nothing else matters. He liked the way she made his insides deliciously warm and he wouldn't give that up for the world.
Hunter looks up at his girlfriend moving around in the the kitchen with two bowls of soup softly humming a song.
No one else matters...
