After the Portal

As Adora slashed through the portal, everyone watched as the machine broke and crumbled under her sword. Hordak stumbled and stared back contemplating how long it had taken him to build it. Catra grabbed him harshly

"We have to go. Now!" She called as she pulled him towards the exit. As he walked towards the door she turned back to glance at Adora who turned and looked at her

And in a moment of pure rage and frustration at what Catra had done, Adora snapped.

"Enough Catra! I'm everything you always wanted to be! let's deal with the issue you wish you were me, you're nothing without me Catra! without me, you're nothing at all! just a little horde soldier trying her best to do what she couldn't and will never be able to do, which is succeed."

Catra was broken. She had never heard Adora speak and look at her like that. Like she had hated her with every part of her. Adora stepped closer to her and Catra shrunk in front of her shadow.

"Adora" Glimmer and Bow called out to her, Catra using that fraction of a second that Adora unfocused on her to escape her gaze.

When Catra got to a safe point she collapsed. Her eyes began to water as she had never been looked at by Adora. Her heart felt like it was tearing. It's over. She hates me. Catra clasps her chest hating herself for feeling this for her enemy, for the person that destroyed her life, for her Adora that was no more.

"Adora," she whispered as she began to cry
