Chapter thirteen

"Pansy, sweetie you need to wake up," Father's voice was soft and kind. I woke up groggily and sat up in my bed. Father was dressed impeccably, he wore long black pants white shirt with a green silk bow tie. "Father," I say groggily while I rub my eyes.

"Come, one sweetie, we need to talk before I go to work," Father said. I nodded and called for Tribble while I stepped out of bed. Tribble snapped her fingers and got me dressed in a purple dress with a sloppy ribbon at the neckline. She would normally let me dress but it was clear that we were in a hurry. She braided my hair and flicked her long boney fingers. Next thing we were in the dining room with the food served and father waiting for me. I sat down and started digging in on my plate of french toast.

I sat straight and ate small bites with my cutlery. Like a proper lady. "Pansy, I think it is time we discuss your tutoring. You need to be taught the norms of society," Father spoke clearly. "When will my lessons begin," I ask intrigued. This could be my chance to start magic and not just some wandless spells that cast me loads of energy. My eyes brightened.

"Your lessons will start next week and you will go to tutoring every day from two to six, you will be taught how to behave like a lady and get used to the differences in society," Father added. "you want me to learn to swear words to address the lesser blood," I say.

"I do not want you to use them, I want you to get used to them. You will be deemed a sympathizer which is not appropriate for your blood status nor our family reputation," Father calmly but I noticed that he did not like how I addressed the issue. "Very well I shall do my best if I can also learn magic theory for all my Hogwarts classes, I rather am ahead," I say. I wanted to hit myself, I did not sound like a five-year-old but a seventeen-year-old. I could see the surprise in my fathers softly raised eyebrows.

"I have been reading a lot of Ruby Robbinson books recently, father," I quickly add. Ruby Robbinson was an old fairy tale princess that always used sly words to gain a bargain. "Is that so..." Father said quietly.

I continued eating my breakfast while father moved on to his cup of coffee bean tea. "Your invitations have been sent to the family's that attended the birthday party," Father said "And on Wednesday Draco will be coming over with Daphne Greengrass coming on Thursday," Father added to lessen the silence in the room.

"I expect you to behave while they visit as I won't be there guide you," Father softened his voice although the words held expectation he did not want me to get stressed. "I will be splendid, Father" I smile broadly. Father chuckled and stood up from his seat and walked towards me and patted my head. "I'll be taking my leave now and about your classes, I can arrange that they will include magic theory," Father added before walking out the room.

"Thank you!" I screamed behind him while the doors of the diner closed. I hurriedly finished my breakfast and rushed in the library. I walked towards the quidditch section and grabbed all the books, it was time for some light revision before I see Draco.
