Chapter Sixty

"we're sorry Pansy," Daphne began. I merely looked and raised my eyebrows. There were now all seated slowly blowing off the steam coming from their teas. "Why would you be sorry?" I asked sarcastically.

"I am sorry for going along with the idea to publish your notes and thinking you would hurt Theodore, I just... You have changed. A lot," Daphne said.

"Honestly, we were desperate you were gone and your father was impossible to get in touch with. We all knew you went to your grandparents but we didn't know where their estate was so we thought that making you known and publishing your work would put attention towards you and hope that you would meet us," Theodore added. I took a sip of the hot tea and nodded my head with some annoyance.

"Look, we rather have you scream at us and be mad so mad that you would throw things at us than not seeing you. We just wanted to see our friend and yes it was stupid but we were like 9," Draco added to try and make it seem like they were in the right.

"All three of you have made excuses and I heard one half-apology. Just properly apologize. That's all I need and all I want," I said, inside my head, I could only muse at the fact that if I weren't so cunning and sly, I would have been a Hufflepuff. I forgive too easily.

"I am sorry for betraying your trust," Daphne began.

"I am sorry too,"

"I apologize, sorry," Draco finished.

I finally let a small smile bloom on my face. Regardless of my anger and my annoyance, these people were my closest friends, and I missed them.

"Since my tea isn't finished, how have you all been?" I asked politely. Immediately all the downturned looks and frowns turned up as they finally looked me in the eyes. "Well?" I drew out with a smile.

"Well, the boys are annoying as always but me and Astoria made it work without you. I even managed to sneak some treats in ever week, " Daphne gushed and ignored the boys protest as she continued with complaints in regards to her mother. Her uptight posture finally relaxed and she looked happy.

I couldn't help but feel even more relaxed myself as she seemed to let go of her pureblood customs and become a regular eleven-year-old girl with great friends and a horrid mother.

"The only thing you really missed is the fact that, Astoria got sick and my father turned into a workaholic and that Draco's father is unable to give more children," Theodore added at the end. The mood turned solum but I couldn't help but laugh.

"Why are you laughing, now I am never going to get another sibling," Draco puffed angrily. I laughed even harder at that. I couldn't help myself, this is the worst that had happened to them. Theodore's father was always a workaholic, so that was not horrible and now he had friends, Astoria had always been sick which was horrible but inevitable and Draco's father could just do a magical surrogate situation. Where they would use a potion similar the poly juice potion. It would change a fertile sperm from another man to be exactly like Lucius's the only difference being that it was fertile.

"Sorry but i-I can't help it. That was the worst!" I puffed out to try and stop my giggling. "Look, Theodore, your father was never there but we were so no difference there. Draco your dad could do Surrgogate therapy and Daphne we'll find a cure no worries," I said finally calming down from my laughing explosion. It was nice to see not much had changed.
