Chapter 25 # Remember it for the rest of my life.

Kara and Dominic stayed at the lake for an hour. They left when sun had completely risen and was no longer only mildly bright but was piercing bright that nobody could even look at it.

It was 5:15 by the time they trekked down from the mountain top. After they got into the car Kara didn't even bother questioning where they were going because she was not interested in having a small talk and highly doubted that Dominic will answer.

"It is going to take more than an hour to reach our next destination you can take a nap for a while."

Kara didn't need to hear anything more immediately after taking a comfortable position well as comfortable as possible in passenger seat of a very luxurious car. Kara was seriously tired it has been a week till she joined SDI. And the whole week she didn't get much of rest. And now when she planned to have at least a good sleep on Sunday and wake up late. Dominic had to show up at four in the morning.

Well, she could have not gone out two times this week with Myra. But she was too exited and wanted to get to know her new roommate and city. She has been sheltered all her life so having new experiences of freedom feels amazing.

Even now if her parents knew that she was out with a boy they would literally raise hell and ground her for a week. To many people grounding an adult might seem funny but her parents are strict enough to actually go through with it.

But her grandma would be proud of her for getting out of her bubble, finding amazing things in life, breaking rules and having fun. Her grandma is mischievous old lady she loves breaking rules and just being her charming self and the world loves her for it.

I felt myself drifting into sleep while thinking about my grandma and how she would react seeing a guy with frosty blue eyes.

Dominic saw that Kara's breathing had turned even. He turned to look towards her. A smile involuntary broke out on his face. This feeling of her being around him and seeing and admiring the things he shows is good really good.

Right now, we are heading towards my house for my family's traditional Sunday breakfast. It is traditional but it is not exclusive to my family only. Even my friends and Rebekah's friends and ex-boyfriend have attended it once or twice.

The tradition originally started when my grandfather's business was doing really well and he was starting to spend less and less time with family and grandma. Grandma threatened to divorce him if missed even a single Sunday breakfast for work. And since than tradition is ongoing whoever breaks it gets a punishment valid for them. Mine is to get grounded for a week and also stop working at the company for a week too. Rebekah's is that she cannot contact her friends for any reason and she is also not allowed to wear any makeup for a week much to her horror.

As we reach, I drive into our car park and call Kara to wake her up.

She wakes up her voice still slightly groggy and asks "Have reached yet?"

"Yes, come 'on"

She pulls open her door gets out and stretches for a bit and then absorbers her surroundings. They were at a big crème coloured mansion that has large swimming pool at one side and a basketball court the other. The has great architect with creepers growing on the main entrance and dark wood door as the gate. As we enter the mansion the living room has black couches and the furniture is again mostly wood a black LCD placed in front of the couches. The walls are coloured white but appear slightly darker shade due to lights being golden.

"Where are we?"

"My home. We'll have breakfast with my family."

"What? Like now." She looked at him at horror.

Dominic gave her questioning look. What she so horrified about it is not like his family is filled with savages. In fact, his mother is quite a sweet woman. Even though his father is stern man but he is probably not going to treat Kara strictly over Sunday breakfast.

"I am not dressed to attend a breakfast at your house. I am seriously wearing track suit; I am sweaty and urgently need a shower." She says while glaring at him.

"Glad to know that you care about what my parents think about you." He said while giving her a devilish smile

Hearing him still flirting at such a serious movement made Kara feel more frustrated and gave him a bone chilling glare. At least according to her it was bone chilling.

"There is still an hour before breakfast you can borrow some cloths from Rebekah. I am sure she might have something that would fit you can take shower in one of our guestrooms."

Now that a major crisis is solved. Dominic led Kara to a guestroom.

"You can take shower in the bathroom over there. I'll get you some cloths from Rebekah." Saying this he left.

Now that Kara was left alone, she observed the room. It was lowkey luxurious dark wood bed with blue silk sheets draped on mattress. A light blue couch, the colour shade same as the bedsheets. A closet beside the window at the left side.

Kara pulled at hair tie and let her hair down and may her way to bathroom. As she entered the bathroom all the essential toiletries were kept at the stone slab. She made her way towards the glass column shower. Any other day she would have chosen bathtub over shower but it was getting late and she only had time left for a quick shower.

Kara showered and came out to see a yellow-coloured dress kept at the bedside table. It was spaghetti strap yellow knee length summer dress. The dress still had a tag indicating it was new. She had to admit it Rebekah ad great taste. The dress had a puffy net layer on skirt it was not too much just perfect for Sunday breakfast at a friend's house. By friend Kara meant Rebekah not Dominic.

After changing into the dress, she grabbed a white fluffy towel from the bathroom to dry her hair while she was still doing it there was knock on the door.

"Come in."

A few minutes ago.

Dominic had left Kara in the room and went to look for his sister to borrow something for Kara to wear.

As soon as he entered her room, she started interrogating him.

"Where did you so early in the morning?"

"I went to moon lake mountain with Kara to witness a very romantic sunrise." He said feeling smug. Afterall Rebekah did say that Kara would never date him.

"No need to gloat. She only went because she lost the bet yesterday." Says Rebekah while taking out a yellow-coloured dress from her closet and giving it to him.

"This will probably fit." Says Rebekah. The dress is shorter than the usual dresses she wears. It is perfect for Kara as she is a head shorter than Rebekah.

All the Blake's are blessed with good genes they have beautiful facial features, intelligence and a good model height.

Even though Dominic hates to admit it but his sister is very much right after all it is true from the face Kara makes every time, she is around him. He gets it that she'll rather stay miles away from him than to go on romantic dates.

He leaves the dress on the bedside table and himself goes to freshen up.

After twenty minutes he heads towards the guestroom to call Kara for breakfast. He knocks on the door and hears a come in.

He enters and gets stunned. There Kara was standing in the dress Rebekah had given her. Her pale skin looked like it was radiating due to yellow colour of the dress. Her hair was still damp and few droplets were falling on her bare shoulders covered in only thin spaghetti strap they looked like tear drops. Her lips were pink and soft. She was rubbing her hair with white fluffy towel from one side which were in stark contrast with her midnight black hair her small face was looking fresh and energetic her eyelashes fluttered every so often on her slightly pink dusted cheeks. Her silver-grey eyes looked how they always appear like stars in the night sky.

At that movement Dominic knew that this was sight he was going to remember for the rest of his life.
