Cairo was dressing Luke like every day as I watched the scene when I heard laughing behind me.

"I can't believe Cairo right now, I mean who would've thought that Cairo of all people would be the mom." Sao said laughing, I looked at her.

"Well, the kid is like him".I said,I still couldn't decide if that was good or bad.

"What do you mean, the kid is so cute and Cairo is so reserved." She said in a skeptical tone.

"Yeah I know, but they have those types of scars."

"What type of scars?" Sao looked at me waiting for an explanation.

"They have the types of scars, that aren't as stunning as others but hurt way more, they have the types of scars that shows betrayal and pain but weren't made by yourself, they have those types of scars that if they could tell their story it would be a cruel and hopeless one, they have the types of scars that even if they try, they won't be able to forget nor forgive the people that made them, because it was made by the people who decided to broke nature laws and hurt the person they were supposed to love the most. "

When I ended Sao looked at me horrified, she understood what I was talking about but she couldn't process it, she turned to me and asked me why, why would someone do that to their kid, I tried to explain but it was difficult, we sat there in silence until I remembered something my dad told me when I was a kid.

" Every kid deserves a parent, but not every adult deserves to a child ", you and I have parents Sao, but Cairo and Luke don't, they just have their progenitors.

Progenitor that's a weird word but I think it makes sense, a weird word for weird things. Sao mumbled.

Cairo finished dressing up Luke, we grabbed our things and went inside the car.

"Um Sao were are we going?" I asked

"The underground" she replied

"Can I go in the front seat?" Cairo asked

"It's broken darling, you can't make it move backwards and it's too close to the front part." Sao said

"Please let me move to the front seat." Cairo replied

I finally understood the reason and quickly pulled Cairo close to me.

"Cairo it's ok, I'm here nobody wants to hurt you." Cairo looked at me with tearful eyes.

"Do you want my phone to play some games Luke?" I asked

Yes!! He said, I handed him my phone and put him in the seat next to Cairo.

"Cairo come here." He got beside me as I hugged him close, I knew that it would be a long drive.

1 hour and a half later we got to the underground as Sao referred to it before, the place looked surprisingly clean and comfortable, we entered to the main room and all the eyes stopped on us, Cairo grabbed Luke's hand and got behind me.

"Hey guys this are Lucciola, Cairo and Luke, the guys I told you before." Sao explained

"Hi there, My name is Kaoru I'm the lider of this place for the moment."

"Thanks for receiving us." I said, I started to analyze the place and it didn't look dangerous.

"Don't be nervous, we are all here for the same reason." He said.... Wait what? All this people are the same?

"Did you all escaped the hunters and came here?!" I asked, I was very confused at the moment.

"Wait you escaped?! How? That's almost impossible, we are merchandise that was never sold."

"So they let you go? Why?" Now I was really astonished, how did the hunters let them go?

"Yeah, we were never sold so they throw us away, they tried to kill us first but never succeeded." Kaoru explained.

It was alarming how this people were completely calm while saying that, they acted like it wasn't a big deal. Kaoru showed us around and told us that the best thing would be to stay here, that it was safer than Sao's house and that we wouldn't have to worry that much about money.

"So how does this place works? How do you guys earn money?" Cairo asked.

"Easy, we have the government by our side, they ask us for Information, we give it to them and then they pay us, we also participate in street's fight." Kaoru explained

"And you have never tried searching for your family?" Luke asked curiously

"Nope, most of us aren't from this country, and the ones that are from this country don't have a family."

"Oh" I said, I'm sorry it must be hard.

"Bitch aren't you in the same place?! Why are you sorry?"

"I'm trying to be nice so shut the..!"

"Lucciola don't curse in front of the kid!" Cairo said, he had that expression that looked like when my dad scolded me.

"Sorry prince, I'll be careful."

Kaoru looked at us with a weird expression but continued to show us around until we got to the dorms.

This will be your room, he said while pointing at a room, and this will be the room for the kid, just to let you know that your room only has one double bed, but if you want we can change it for 2 individual ones.

"There's no need, we are used to share a bed the 3 of us so it really doesn't matter."We explained

"Ok then, you can rest for the day, say if you need help with anything."

Thanks, we said as we went inside the room.

We changed into comfortable clothes, we organized our things and laid in the bed.

"Cairo come here, I said. Cairo came and laid into my chest

"You okay there? You were really stressed during the trip."I asked

"Yeah...I'm just exhausted."

"Really? Cairo you can trust me. "I said, I knew he wasn't fine, but I didn't wanna pressure him.

"I'm..." he couldn't continue as he started crying.

"It's ok sun, just take a deep breath ok? You are safe".I reassured

"I'm so tired! I'm just so stressed, I'm done with this!" Cairo shouted while crying his heart out.

"I know it's dumb to be triggered by riding a car... but I just can't help it, every fucking time I ride one the memories comes back!" They just won't go away. I didn't know what to do, so just let him cry in my arms.

After 30 minutes he was more calmed so I got us under the sheets and turned off the lights with the hope that Cairo could sleep and rest until tomorrow.

"I'm sorry for being so weak"

"Cairo you aren't weak" I said "You are the bravest and strongest person I know darling" Cairo looked at me and kissed me in the forehead.

"What would I do without my moon huh?" He said before falling asleep.

I closed my eyes and soon I also fell into morfeo's arms.
